Love Mew

Hello, friends:}

So I forgot to enter this card into the CAARDVARKS challenge!! It is due tonight! YIKES! We were challenged to use red and hearts. I love how this card turned out...it is sooooo adorable:} The cat is actually a button that I got on clearance from JoAnn Fabrics. I cut the heart from the Cricut and wrote the sentiment. I will be back tomorrow with a couple of cards for the Ippity challenge and the H{ippity} Hop!! And tomorrow starts the official beginning of February's giveaway!! Stay tuned!

Hello, friends:}

I am so excited to participate in this wonderful hop!! Our task was to create a project that was inspired by a song by The Beatles (photo: public domain). I know that I am musical (singing and playing instruments)...but I didn't know much about The Beatles.  I have really enjoyed listening to them while working on these projects:}

Anyway...I had Trav put on some Beatles music while we thought about what to create. This first card was inspired by the song, "I Want To Hold Your Hand". The lyrics that I kept singing tonight  before/during/after dinner were "I want to hold your haaaaaaand. I want to hold your hand!" I also used the Sketchy Thursday 2nd Chance Challenge for my LO. I have to admit that Trav thought of which stamps to use and what it should say! So crafty, he is!! Supplies used can be found at The Paper Maniac store:: K & Company DP; Hero Arts, woodland stamps $14.99; Stazon, Timber Brown $7.99; Mini Pop Dots $2.49; other: glue stick, Cricut, scrap paper.
My second card was inspired by the song, "Hello Goodbye". I forgot that they sang that--and when I went through the list of song titles...I instantly sketched out my card LO. I love how simple it is! I also love that the two colors for the four arrows are contrasting colors (just like the words of the song, "I say, "Yes"...you say, "No"...I say "High"...you say, "Low".....You say, "Goodbye" and I say, "Hello Hello Hello!"). Supplies can be found at The Paper Maniac store:: American Crafts, green DP $0.29; Bazzil 8.5x11 Smoothies Multipacks, Currant/Blackberry/Pineapple $5.00 each; Stazon, Jet Black $7.99; Tombow, Perm. Adhesive $5.99; Mini Pop Dots $2.49; other: Cricut, glue stick, Gelly pen (black).
My last card was inspired by the song, "8 Days a Week". I was trying to think of what the eighth day would be called if I made a calendar....I couldn't think of anything funny....so I made a card with all the days of the week (correct names) and then another box with the lyrics, "8 days a week..." I love how simple this card is too! I could use this for any day to tell Trav how much I love him--LOVE it! Supplies can be found at The Paper Maniac store:: Bazzil (Currant/Blackberry) $5.00 each; Glossy Accents $5.99; Distress Ink $4.99; other: glue stick, DP (random scraps).
Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget:: Be sure to leave comments on each of our blogs and sign up as a customer at The Paper Maniac store

The next blog on the hop is by CEAL PRITCHETT. Here is a list of the whole hop...

Thanks again for stopping by! I love love love visiting with you!
Until next time~

Hope Stamps Eternal Cupcake Challenge #43

**NOTE:: Please scroll down to see my FWF 1.28.10 creations--lots of PICS!!!

Hello, friends:}

I'm back with another challenge card. I love this challenge from Hope Stamps Eternal. We had to create a card inspired by a cupcake with a robot on top! Ack--too cute! I knew exactly which digi stamp I would use--I just won this "Love At First Byte" from Tiddly Inks last month! I love it--so perfect for a little boy or a love card...for those who don't know techonology (ME!) very well....lots of different occasions. With this digi stamp, I made a birthday card for a boy. I love it! I made the circle base too- I like how it has a straight edge on the side--I don't have any "shaped" cards premade, so I have to make my own. Not bad???
**NOTE:: I actually printed the digi stamp three times...and then PAINTED the body!! I love it! All of my pens on red card stock looked brown...so paint was the trick! I also distressed the edges of the circle and blue strip of paper.

I hope that you are doing well! Don't forget to check out my post for FWF....and be sure to come back tomorrow for the Magical Mystery Blog Hop by Paper Maniac!! Lots of fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Love when we visit!
Until next time~

FWF....challenge cards

Hello, friends:}

As promised...I'm going to share lots of pics today of UNITY stamps in use!!! I know I've said it before--but I LOVE LOVE LOVE UNITY! I know I'm addicted! I also have a couple of cards that I created for challenges...so here we go!

My first card was created for the Card Patterns #48 and Stampin Sisters in Christ #23 challenges. I used the sketch to make this cute card using Unity's Jan. KOTM stamps, and the challenge #23 was to use just a hint of green. I made the plant glittery (so I guess this would count for Lucy's Challenge as well--to use glitter)! I love this card--too cute!! That pink/orange DP in the background is my FAV!!

My second card was created for the Two Scoops of Rice sketch challenge. This is my first time...and of course I had to create a card for my sister-in-law! Candice's new last name will start with an R (I also used glossy accents over the initial to make it stand out)...so I featured it inside a UNITY Jan. KOTM stamp. The sentiment is from the August KOTM. I love how the purple paper is metallic....the pearls add a bit of elegance...and everything looks so romantic!
I promised that I would share with you some cards that my friend, Jordan, created last weekend. She is sending them to her boyfriend, Nicho. He is so sweet--unless he is peeking and checking out the cards before she sends them!! HA! The first card might look very familiar...it was inspired by my shaped card that was featured on the CARDS blog a couple of weeks ago. I LOVE this card...no wonder Jordan wanted to make something just like it!

This second card was also inspired by one of my cards...LOVE LOVE LOVE the paper used on this--it matches the flowers perfectly!! **NOTE:: Jordan changed her top 5 reasons!! That was not the same as my card:}

This card was inspired by music--it's a part of both of their lives. Jordan wanted a vintage feel...and I love how the photo is torn. The music background is....you guessed it....a stamp by UNITY!
This last card was created using my newest favorite embellishment...FLOCKING! I love it--although, I'm not so sure I understand how to use it yet--but I'm getting better. Jordan wanted to say a sweet sentiment on the inside so we used the heart stamp by UNITY (Confessions) on the outside and inside of the card. Both are flocked--but with two different colors. We also used stamps from the Our Life...set. Too cute.

I think Jordan did an AWESOME job creating these cards--and I bet she is just as much in love with UNITY as I am:}

Oh yeah...I wanted to share with you some updated pics of the sympathy card that I created a couple of days ago. The pics were not that great...but here it is again. I used Unity's Bevy of Butterflies set. LOVE it!

You can kind of see where the side is folded over on top of the front...as well as the perfect pearls glitter.
Well...thanks for making it this far in my post! I love sharing my creations with you--I hope that you enjoyed them! Don't forget to check out the other ladies from Unity and with FWF! GREAT stuff out there! I love Fridays:} And don't forget to leave some love--I love reading them and who knows...you might find the blinkie and WIN!

Thanks again for visiting! Hope you have an AWESOME weekend!
Until next time~
Love, Sav

ps....become a follower...when I hit 25....another giveaway!

ps2...in February...I have the coolest UNITY stamp set as a giveaway! Ack!! So much fun!

GS22 card

Hello, friends:}

I couldn't resist trying another Get Sketchy challenge card this week...I'm so excited that I was featured as one of the TOP 5!!! I am all about the "pull out" notes this month! I used the sketch to make a pull out postcard. I changed the sketch a bit by making it in the pocket instead of under the circle element. The postcard stamp is from Unity. Other stamps are also from Unity and Ippity. I love how sweet that sentiment is hanging from the bow! ACK--too cute:}

I hope that you are having a blessed day! I am in the process of getting ready for FWF and a special blog hop on Saturday!!! My first ever with this company! Can't wait:} So be sure to stop by!!!

Remember....if I can get to 25 followers--I will have another giveaway!

Thanks for all the comments and for stopping by today. I love when you come and visit!
Until next time~

SPCC #32 and CARDS challenge card

Hello, friends:}

I've been thinking about this card for some time...I just didn't have colors or an idea of what it should say...then I saw the SPCC #32 challenge with very masculine colors, as well as the CARDS challenge to use squares...I KNEW! I love when that happens:}

I created this card using 1 inch squares cut from my Cricut. I used the color combo from SPCC along with a sentiment from the dollar bin at Michaels. The ribbon was leftover!! I love this card--I'm not going to say who is getting this...but this particular person has a bday coming up in February!

I hope that you are having a wonderful day--thanks for stopping by! Love when we visit!! Remember to bundle up- it's COLD out there!
Until next time~

Embellish Mag. Challenge

Hello, friends:}

I wasn't sure what I was going to make for this challenge from Embellish Magazine. I was thinking and thinking...and then I looked at my Unity stamps (my FAV stamps ever!)....and saw that two of the butterflies had stripes!! Then I found out that our friend's mother had passed--so I knew exactly what I needed to do! I used cream paper for the base then attached a kraft card stock on top that was a bit longer. I rolled it over and tied it down. I love how that looks! I used Perfect Pearls for the butterflies (680 Duo Red Blue). It matched the purple metallic paper perfectly **NOTE:: It does not look good in the pic--I'm still working on that!! I also used Champagne pearls from Kaiser Scrapbook. The sentiment is from the dollar bin at Michaels. LOVE it!

I tried to get a good pic from the side--so you could see the folded part...eh! I REALLY need photography lessons:}

Again--I'm trying to get a good pic of the perfect pearls--it looks really good in person and matches really well with the purple metallic paper accent. Eh.

I will be creating more tonight...I hope that I have time to share them with you tomorrow~ I can't believe how busy my schedule is! CRAZY! Be sure to check back on Friday for FWF!! I will be sharing the cards that Jordan made this weekend [it was her first time crafting!].

Thanks so much for stopping by! Love our visits! Have a wonderful night! Be sure to stay warm--it is COLD out:}
Until next time~

H{ippity} Ippity Hop

Hello, friends:}

Well...as promised here are two updates:

1. Singing--THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for the prayers. It was a very big day yesterday--but I have to say that the Spirit was with me. I actually think it went well (and if you know me...I am very critical and hard on myself!). I am so thankful for our band members--Jordan H., Jimmy S., Jeff C., Walt B., Tara E., Judy L., and Cameron S. (the 14 year old drummer--too cute!). We used to record the worship and sermon for the internet, but now they just record the sermon (we have three services and then one simulcast at another campus). So I will see about how to share it with you--Thank you for lifting me up!

2. Here is the pic of the card that I submitted to the Ippity contest last week for bling. I updated it with a pic of my friend Jordan and I. Seriously--she is toooooooooooooo AWESOME! She has a great heart and is very talented! She loved the card--love it when people feel special after getting one of my cards!

So here are the rest of the cards that I created for the hop!

This first one seemed easier than I thought...I was going to tie leaves on the whole thing- and it was going to be completed for the CARDS challenge. I finished it a bit late...but I really like how it turned out. I used the tree from the Simply Home set, and the sentiments were from the Devoted and Just Wanted to Say sets. I masked off some of the words for the Bible verse. I love it! I ended up using it for the IHHC7 challenge! **NOTE:: this is actually only 2x3 inches--love working on new smaller surfaces!!!

Here is another card that I created for the IHHC7 challenge. I wanted a simple yet pretty card for an anniversary. I ended up making these flowers after following Dawn McVey's video. She is too cute too! I do think I might change a bit on this card--I will have the stamped sentiment and tag stand out a bit by using a cream paper and foam tape. I wanted it simple--but not THAT simple:}

You should really check out the other ladies work--wow! Great stuff! I will be posting more later this week--especially Friday! Jordan came over this weekend, and I helped her make several several cards for her boyfriend!!! All UNITY stamps! I love love love UNITY and IPPITY!

Also.....just in case you didn't know... I extended the giveaway to TUESDAY, JAN. 26 at 8am!! So go check it out--and the funny thing is...I have more changes!! Mention any and you are in the drawing!

Well...thanks for making it this far in the post! I wanted to share more cards with you- but time got away from me! Thanks so much for stopping by! I love our visits:}

Have a great week! Until next time~

SPCC #31 and Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenges

Hello again, friends:}

I had another card that I wanted to share with you today...I made it for the SP Color Combo #31 and Stampin' Sisters in Christ #22 challenges. I really like how it turned out...I think I will be encouraging some newlyweds with this card. Inside: Joshua 24:15 "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." So important:} Stamps I used were from my newest winning package--Technique Tuesday clear stamps. There are actually two ribbons--an apricot fuzzy ribbon...and a thin thin thin pale pink ribbon. I wrapped the pink ribbon twice around the card. I also used my newest fav product--Stampendous Fun Flock, Think Pink. I got it at Limelight Papercrafts online site. I still don't know how to use it really well...but I think it looks cute:}

 Here is a close up of the flock...guess it just stays where the stamp is (using glue). If you have suggestions or tips for how to use it...please DO SHARE!!

I do hope you are doing well and enjoying your weekend! Thanks again for prayers--I will let you know how it goes on Monday!!

Thanks so much for visiting! Have a wonderful night.
Until next time~
Love, Sav

ps...don't forget that I extended the giveaway until TUESDAY

ps2...don't forget to follow my blog...giveaway as soon as we hit 25 followers!

Hope Stamps Eternal Cupcake Challenge #42

Hello, friends:}

I've got more exciting news to share...but I'm going to wait until TUESDAY!!! Which reminds me...I am extending my current giveaway to Tuesday, Jan. 26 8am! So be sure to check it out and READ the directions!!

So, I created this card for the Hope Stamps Eternal Cupcake challenge. I love this card! I used Lizzie Anne Designs August KOTM stamps. I also used Stampendous Fun Flock- Lemonade Yellow. You can get this flock at Limelight Papercrafts online store!! I love the way the sketch turned out! I hope I can fit into a yellow polka-dotted itsy bitsy teenie weenie bikini this summer!

I hope you are doing well this weekend--I have just one request. Please pray that I will be able to sing tomorrow for worship. I am leading (by myself--no TRAV!). I also need prayer for strength and courage! Thanks so much--I'm glad that I've got partners in prayer:}

Thanks again for stopping by! Have fun!
Until next time~
