Hope Stamps Eternal card....and a new friend

Hello, friends:}

I have a quick card to share with you today. I saw these cupcakes over on Hope Stamps Eternal [which I've missed participating in--time gets away from me!]. And I thought those colors would look really pretty as a father's day card. I created this using my woodgrain stamp and distress inks. I cut the tag and distressed it with ink and the distressing tool. The only other stamp I used was Ippity's Love in Return. I also used some burlap string that I had sitting around....Simple:)

And now for my new friend! Marian contacted me about buying one of my flower frogs. I love these frogs--they hold my cards, in case you didn't know. I sent her one, and her is her first card on the frog! LOVE it! And look at that beautiful card! Super crafty:} And....I love Marian because she told me about SCAL! If any of you have SCAL--give me more info! I am reading about it and researching it--I guess it goes with your Cricut....and you can cut any font you have on your computer! This excites me!! ThanksMarian:}

That's it for me today--quick and simple. I have five orders to get out--so I will be in the studio all day! Hope I get everything done because I can't wait to sew some more!!

Thanks for stopping by! Be blessed:}

FWF 5.28

Hello, friends....and friends with FLAIR!

I love all the cards that I have to share with you today--they are some of my FAV!!!

My first card was created for the Wee Memories challenge. We were to make something "up in the sky". Well....I had to use this inspiration pic with the rainbow! I have made a rainbow card with stitching...brads/stars....and I had to make this one with ribbon. I love love love it! I think it is super cute! And look at those clouds--I used crumpled up tissues for them. I love it! I used Unity's Super Sweet stamp set for the clouds and the sentiment came from the Feb. KOTM. I also used the grid stamp from the Moments in Bloom stamp set. LOVE it:}

This next card is one of my FAV FAV FAVS! I love how sweet it is! I used Unity's new Cosmo Cricket stamp set- Garden Variety. I also used my new October Afternoon paper. This card was created for the Mojo Monday challenge. If you look closely I masked the sentiment stamp so it says, "The cow goes Moo Moo!". Love it! I can't wait to give this to my nephew! How precious:}

This next card was also created using Unity's Garden Variety stamps. I made this card for the CPS Card Sketches challenge. I have never played with CPS...but I just had to try with these papers and stamps! I also distressed the sides--ack! I love it! I just got my blending tool the other day and I've used it on two cards already! [I forgot to say that for the "C is for Cow" card!!! I distressed those edges too!].
This has got to be one of my fav cards too! I love the stitching! I used three different stitches for a variety look. Again with October Afternoon papers....this was also made using the cow from Unity's Garden Variety. Love it:} Paige from the Cards blog asked for "pun" cards. So I created this card. Super fun!
On this card, I used Tattered Angel spray mist (not even sure that is what it is called--I'm so super new to it!!). This is my first time using the spray! I love it! I actually had to make it twice because the spray wasn't the color I wanted--I didn't know you had to get closer for a deeper color/etc. I made this card for the CAS-tastic and FWF26 challenge. It was supposed to be a simple and one layer card. I used Unity's stamp (wayward blooms) by Donna Downey! I just got this stamp as a random winning! HOOORAY! I also used my Ippity sentiment stamp from The Simple Things set. I added glitter at the top of the flowers for extra umph!
**NOTE:: the corner was rolled up when I was spraying the mist...I did green and purple..the corner got most of the green...eh. 1st time...not bad!

And you won't believe this...but this card was sent to me from England! My friend, Ruby, sent it to me!! HOW FUN! I love this card--she featured it on her blog a month back. She used her Unity stamps that I sent her. LOVE LOVE LOVE it! It looks so pretty in person! I wish you could see the metallic ink and the flowers...mmmm! LOVE it! ThanksRuby:}

That's it for me today....be sure to stop by Unity's blog for a complete list of friends with flair! And don't forget to leave some love--you could win some Unity stamps! And my May giveaway is ending soon! So be sure to go back through all my posts...and leave some love!!

EIC challenge and fun prayer book

Hello, friends:}

I just love love love the EtsyInspired challenges! This week we were to visit Made by Michelle Brusegaard's Etsy store. Super fun stuff! Lots of inspiration there! I picked this peacock scarf. I made this card for a friend. I love this peacock stamp! All the stamps are from Fiskars. LOVE it! And those feathers...mmmm! And the gems.....double mmmmm! Super cute:}
I also made this prayer journal for my friend. She has a sweet little girl. And when I saw these elephant stamps from Lizzie Anne Designs, I knew I had to use them on this book! LOVE that bow at the top of the sentiment. Too cute!!
Well, that is all for me today. Be sure to scroll down for the Play Date Cafe challenge colors--beautiful! And be sure to stop by tomorrow for my FWF post! I have 5 cards to share with you!! LOVE it:}

Hello, friends:}

Today another color story challenge is ready at the Play Date Cafe! I have got to say that these color challenges are so pretty! Last week with pale yellow/pink/green....this week with lavender/green/brown! LOVE it!

My card has been a sketch that I've had for awhile....just not sure when I wanted to use it. I really like it. I used Unity's March store kit- Super Sweet and Stuck on You. The paper was bought at Big Lots--so fun! As soon as I saw it, I knew it would match:) I really love that thread coming off the spool around the word "you". Love that little needle on the side too!
This week is especially fun because I am the Challenge Host:} This week's question was about my studio. I love my studio! I have included a YouTube video of my studio (before I added my new sewing machines and a couple of other things--I'll make another video soon [just need to remember how!]). I just love the fabric on the walls....and my two desks....LOVE spending time in there! And if you want to see pics of my studio BEFORE (which was not pretty) and AFTER....you can click HERE

Be sure to stop by the other super creative PDCC DT members' blogs--lots and lots of beautiful cards to look at!

Nina Brackett's image for five challenges:)

Hello friends:}

I have one card for FIVE challenges! Can you believe it??? And I used Nina Brackett's new Squigglefly images! LOOOOVE them! I just love everything Nina does--she is super creative!

This card was created for Squigglefly [Get Well], Card Patterns [sketch], Stampin' Sisters in Christ [distressing], Lucy's Cards [digital], and Tim Holtz [How do you distress?] challenges. I love this card--I used Nina's new Squigglefly images-Stitched with Love. I just printed off the sentiment. I used Cosmo Cricket papers and a digital paper by Mel Stampz. I distressed all the edges and the digital paper (to make it look worn). I really like how this turned out. The pins in the corners were too long...so I used pliers to cut them, and I really like that because now they are not sharp!
**NOTE:: I know--the sentiment and sewing machine are off center....well, I was going to tie a bow on the side...but it was too big-so I didn't know what to do....I still love this card:}

Thanks so much for stopping by! Love when I get to share some Nina goodness with you:} Be sure to stop by tomorrow for another BEAUTIFUL Play Date Cafe challenge! The colors are goregous--and I am the Challenge Host, so I will be sharing with you a video and pics:}

Thanks again for stopping by! Be blessed:}
