Paper Made Bakery--Guest Designer 4 and a VIDEO post2

I've got another Paper Made Bakery Guest Designer project to share today--and I have a feeling that I might have more coming!! I used my PMB January kit {available HERE} to create two more cards. I also created a video tutorial on how to dye the seam binding ribbon that is in this kit.

I have a funny story about my first card. I created the video {linked below} and dyed my ribbon...after it dried I was going to use it on a card...so I designed this card and finished it thinking to myself, "This is SUPER cute! LOVE it!" Only to look at it again and smack my forehead---NO RIBBON! I still love this card though:) I love that die cut of the bird with the birds on a wire stamped in the negative spot {Sentimental Birds by Sweet Stamp Shop}. Everything on this card is from the January PMB kit- except those letters (which I found in my alpha drawer). LOVE LOVE LOVE!

For my second card (and the card featured in the video), I used the Authentique sketch challenge as my inspiration. I did change the sketch a bit--well, I didn't change it, I just made it my own! Again--everything from this card was in the PMB January kit. I LOOOOOOOOOVE this card too! I really do!

And here's the video that I created--I really like it! I didn't think of this technique....there are so many ways (and other videos) on how to dye ribbon on the web. I used the technique that was shared by a good friend, Lin. **Also, this technique worked really well with the ribbon in the PMB January kit! OHHH! I love it!

Today is a big day at RibbonCarousel.com. We are debuting the brand new Ribbon Carousel^© today and, of course, doing a giveaway on our blog too!

Here are the details:

The Ribbon Carousel^©is made out of White Marine Board Plastic (High Density Polyethylene), giving it a textured top with smooth scrolled edges. Each Carousel comes with 8 Clear Acrylic rods allowing for many different configurations. You can use it as a 4, 5, 6 or 8 post Carousel, depending upon your individual needs.

The Ribbon Carousel^© holds up to 60 rolls of 3/8" ribbon using 4 rods, 40 Wooden Spools or 16 spools of your favorite Baker's Twine using 8 rods. It SPINS around on a lazy susan, allowing you to access your ribbon and twine easily! This easy-to-use organizer is compact, with a footprint less than 7" square on your workspace. The Ribbon Carousel^© holds ribbon spools of any size up to a 4" diameter. Minimal assembly required.

To use: Simply unscrew the knob on top of the Ribbon Carousel^©. Remove the top and place your spools on the posts as desired. Replace the top by lining up the rods to the holes in the underside of the top. Replace the knob to secure the Ribbon Carousel.

Specifications: Each Ribbon Carousel is approximately 6.85" square and 13.5" tall. The manufacturing and assembly of each Ribbon Carousel^© is in Washington State, USA.

Today we start another photo inspired challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog.

I was inspired by the flowers and the stitching. I just love those fabrics too--but my second card ended up with more polka dots than stripes:) LOL! For this card, I used some Crate Papers along with my Paper Smooches Friendly Flowers {flowers, leaves, and stems} and Word Salad {sentiment} stamp sets. The black seam binding is from The Ribbon Carousel. LOOOOOOOVE how this turned out--those papers are just GORGEOUS!

We are starting another color story today over on the Play Date Cafe blog! This week's colors are beautiful and dark-- plum, yellow/green pear, and moldy cheese. Our sponsor this week is Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps.

I used a piece of paper from three different companies: Studio Calico, Webster's Pages, and Cosmo Cricket! **Notice I used the colors of the paper to match their company name! ACK:) LOVE! I love mixing papers! And these papers were the perfect match for this color story. I created a simple blocked design, and stamped a sentiment using a brad and a small die cut circle {using some of the pear colored paper} as an accent. I finished the card off with some brown alphas. LOOOOOVE this card--and to be honest, I didn't think I would!

And today is actually the last time Michele and Andrea will be joining us as a PDCC DT. I just love this team--and I've enjoyed getting to know Michele and Andrea throughout the last year (or so!!!). One thing that I love about Michele is that she is so generous--one of the first things she did when she joined this team was send me a surprise package with some gorgeous grey ribbon (and you know how much I LOOOOOVE ribbons!!). She is also very organized! LOVE that--and wish I was as organized:)

I just love Andrea to bits--she always inspires me with her wonderful creations. The details! WOOOOOOOOOOW--my jaw is literally dropped every single time I visit her blog! I don't know how she does it--creating such complex and beautiful creations daily, working, keeping up with wife/mother duties....and visiting blogs {I enjoy her visits to my piece of blogland}! WOW! All around amazing woman!

Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps challenge #71

I'm super excited to share my creation today--I made it for the Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps challenge #71--sketch challenge! I LOOOOOOOOVE my card! For more information on this challenge, click HERE!

I stayed really close to this sketch...except I moved the sentiment to the side of the center panel....and I made the panel bigger....and I didn't use an oval--just my image. LOL! Ok--I changed the sketch a bit! I love this little image of SCRS's Suitcase Ruby. And of course I had to paper piece her with my new My Mind's Eye papers!!! LOOOOVE how this turned out! I also love that map on top of the patterned paper--which is why I entered it in the Moxie Fab Map To Your Heart challenge. LOVE! The twine is from The Ribbon Carousel. Did I say how much I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE this card??? Love it!

The Avocado Arts pit crew are sharing some creations today using the January Sweet Treat Sweetie set! Be sure to stop by the AA blog for more information and LOTS more inspiration!

I decided to use that super cute XO stamp for my inspiration. I stamped it several times with some yellow/orange and pink inks (A*Muse Studio). Then I ran that piece of paper through my Cricut and die cut a sentiment (but I only used the negative). I also used my Cricut to die cut the heart image from this stamp set. I LOVE AA's digital die cut files! Finally, I added this piece to a red card base. SOOOOOO easy and SUPER cute! Perfect for Valentine's day!!! LOVE!

I remember making this card for my first Embellish challenge {colored brads}. I remember it because I actually painted those brads! This card has a lots of "firsts" for me! LOL! It also won that Embellish challenge. You can read more about this card HERE.

I'm so excited to share more Momenta goodness with you today! This project was featured Wednesday {HERE} on the Momenta blog. So be sure to stop by there and check out my post and even more creations!!

Because the patterned paper is double-sided--it was perfect for the base of this card. The outside is pink polka dot, and the inside is the pink grid.

I wanted to create a card that folded in on itself and could easily be sent in the mail **ok--now that I look at the finished project, I might have to put this in an envelope to protect the ribbon and embellishment! LOL!...so I created a template for a 4" x 4" square envelope card. I used my pink polka dot and grid papers from Momenta's Let's Party pyramid paper pad for the basic design. I also used the ice cream patterned paper for the center panel. After creating this card design, I thought it would be fun to make the center panel a place to hold a gift card--all I did was punch a notch out of the top, add a bit of tape on three edges, and attached it to the center. EASY! I stamped some fun ice cream images {Sweet Scoop from the Sweet Stamp Shop} and I used some foam dots to add it to my card. I also created a smaller one scoop cone for the closure with a bow {ribbon available from The Ribbon Carousel}.

The envelope card opened up completely.

The best part of this card was creating the Momenta Design Your Own alphabet stickers! I love this video tutorial on how to create your own stickers. I used a color palette that was already created--but you can make your own design, customize your own color, and more! This was SUPER easy and so fun! **I actually had the HARDEST time picking with color combo I wanted to use! I cannot wait to make more customized stickers!

Paper Made Bakery--Guest Designer 3

I've got another Paper Made Bakery Guest Designer project to share today!!! I used my PMB January kit {available HERE} to create two more cards. I really do LOOOOOVE this kit!

For my first card, I created....yep! Another love card! I just couldn't help it! I just love those little birdies on that wire--they look like they are really in love;) I used the Authentique paper and yellow pearls from the PMB kit. **I know it's hard to see the pearls--but I placed them inside the center of each flower on the center panel. The stamps are all from the Sentimental Birds by Sweet Stamp Shop, which is also included in this kit. I die cut some very SMALL clothes pins {SVG file can be found HERE} and the sentiment XO. LOVE it! I think this turned out super cute!

Ha! Those clothes pins are twice the size of the birdies! LOL!

I made a very simple card for my second project. I stamped a sentiment vertically and then die cut a feather from some paper. I love that polka dot Authentique paper--did I say I love the paper from the kit!!??? I do! I didn't have enough of that beautiful white seam binding included in the PMB kit....so I improvised with some antique gold seam binding {available HERE}. LOVE how this turned out! **NOTE: if I DID have the white seam binding, I was going to dye it with some Mustard Seed ink. It would have looked twice as good:) **ETA: I am entering this card in the Moxie Fab Die Cutting challenge! LOOOOOVE:)

**This is a die cut of a FEATHER! One of my friends said it was a leaf--LOL!

We are starting another color story today over on the Play Date Cafe blog! This week's colors are softer but masculine-- slate, moss, bark, and burlap.

I have to admit that I sat for a long time trying to find papers that matched these colors! LOL! I think they are gorgeous--but I was looking for masculine papers {something I don't have much of!}. I finally found some basic cardstock that matched. The moss cardstock is actually Authentique patterned paper. LOVE! I used my cricut to make a negative of a sentiment, added some burlap twine {available HERE}, and that's that! EASY! Simple design--simple card:)

It's time for another Ribbon Carousel Challenge--we’re in the swing of things now, so lets get on to this week’s challenge…. to use Danielle’s “Go To” Sketch for your creation!

Avocado Arts project with a Feb. Sneak Peek

Whew--that was a LONG title for this post:) But it's true! I'm sharing an Avocado Arts project with a sneak peek of the February stamp set! Be sure to stop by the AA blog for more information and LOTS more inspiration!

I created a super fun favor packet using my January Sweet Treat Sweetie stamp set and digital cut files. That jar SVG file is easy to make into a packet--I just made a mirror image and made the two images union together. Then I just used double sided tape (1/8") around the edge of the image. EASY! Everything on the jar label is from the NEW February AA stamp set {Wishes and Kind Thoughts}. LOOOOOOVE! Then I filled the jar packets with seeds, taped the top, and added some twine [available HERE from The Ribbon Carousel].

**Sorry for the horrible pics--Trav says they are fine...but I'm not happy with them! These seed packets look so cute in person!

I'm back with my cards that were featured on the Momenta blog earlier this week {click HERE to check it out}!!! I am so excited that I've joined the Momenta team! I am with an AMAZING group of gals!

I just love the paper pad Family Outings by Momenta! I knew that I wanted to make a birthday card for a young child (or even an adult) by fussy cutting some of the patterned paper. I used this video tutorial to make my card. This tutorial is super easy to follow! Once I had the basic card design completed, I modified the instructions by adding a banner on the top half of the card. This is very tricky since you don't want the banner to be too tight and you don't want it to get caught in the pop-up section. I used some Glue Arts Micro Squares to adhere the twine and banner pieces. Even though these adhesive pieces are "micro" in size--I rolled them to make them even smaller to fit behind the twine. It worked perfectly!

I also used the Glue Arts U CUT IT 3D foam for the fussy cut elephant piece. I just love this little guy! I wanted to add extra dimension and this foam worked well!! I thought originally that this foam was the same as other foam--not very thick in size. WRONG! Glue Arts U CUT IT 3D foam is 3D! Super thick and perfect for making elements pop off your page.

I think this card turned out super cute! I cannot wait to send it to my nephew!

For my second card, I made a version of the Tent Card using this tutorial. I created another birthday card because the Momenta Let's Party paper pad was perfect for this theme! I used the Glue Arts High Tac GlueGlider Pro to attach all my papers. I also used the U CUT IT 3D Foam to help the cupcake stand out better.

My favorite part of this card is that instead of gluing the tent card together (so it wouldn't open)....I added magnets to the bottom piece! This allows you to write on the inside, as well as have the "tent" effect. It was SUPER easy to add the magnets--just run the GlueGlider Pro on the back and attach. PERFECT:}

I've got another Paper Made Bakery Guest Designer project I used my PMB January kit {available HERE} to create this super simple love themed card! LOOOOOVE this kit! I love everything about it--the paper, the stamps, the ribbons...OH! You will too!!!

I used almost one of everything from my PMB kit--the ribbon, lots of papers, the cardstock, and the gems! I just kept adding and adding more to my card! LOVE it! I used this kit to make a love themed card since the Sweet Stamp Shop stamp set that is included in this kit is perfect for this theme! **I also have to add that this stamp set is PERFECT for 15 other cards since that is how many sentiments are in this set!!! Like I said last time-- you know I would love these papers in the PMB kit--I love Authentique! **I actually cut my stamps apart for this card! GASP! I know! I couldn't believe I did that either--but it was easy and it worked out perfectly! I have to say that I just love how versatile these stamps are!

Today we start another photo inspired challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog.

I had to think for some time on what to make for this inspirational photo--I had so many ideas running through my mind! For my first card, I was inspired by the polka dots and bed....it reminded me of when I was sick a couple of weeks ago {I had spots on my throat and was sick in bed}. I created this super cute Feel Better card using some Crate Papers, vintage seam binding (available HERE from The Ribbon Carousel), and SEVERAL Paper Smooches stamp sets-- Hot Concoctions, Alphadot, FOLKal Points, My Peeps, and Chit Chat. ***I cannot believe that after I made this card, I found one of Kim's old CHC images---it looks just like this chicken in the cup! OH MY! I do LOOOOOOOOVE this card though!

For my second card...I was inspired by the colors red/green. It made me think of Christmas! I know!!!!!!!!!! What was I thinking--however, at least I have one card done for this year!!! I used lots of scrap papers in my bin (another bonus-using up the scraps!). The images are from the Paper Smooches set Swanky Snowdudes. I love the simplicity of this card--and I LOVE that I'm one Christmas card down! And it's only January!!! I'm also entering this into the Paper Crafts January challenge {Winter Inspired}.

I just love this color story---it's perfect for a valentine's day card...anything love themed....or in my case, I made a mid-January love themed card! It's a great day in blogland!!! I have three post today, and my first post is for Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps! You are going to love this NEW release image of Nurse Lucy!

I paper pieced my image again! I just can't help it--I love paper piecing! And I can't copic until I finish my first lesson (which is in the works). I used some old My Mind's Eye papers and some seam binding as my accent. LOOOOOOVE how my card turned out! If you look closely, that tissue is real tissue paper! I just love using that as an embellie!

OH MY! This set is so fun--you will love this large background stamp! And the cool thing is that you can ink it in almost any color! PERFECT:) I have used it for a very simple background that is black and white. I added some scrap papers and stamped the sentiment (also from the SSS Against the Grain set). This is actually a birthday card for my mother-in-law [today is her birthday]. Happy birthday, Lori!!!!

I tried to make the background a bit distressed by pressing hard only on the edges and rolling my hand near the edge as well. I think it turned out FAB:)

I just LOOOOOOOOOOOVE this stamp set! These birds on the wire are just TOOOOO cute! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my card for today as well! **Some of you might have seen it as a preview over on the Scrapbook Steals blog last month. I love everything about this card-- I LOVE those papers by Pebbles. I love that this new SSS set has 15 sentiments! LOVE it--you could literally use this set for just about any occasion! And who doesn't love tons of birdies on a wire!!!??? I was inspired by a LO posted on the web a month or two ago. I CASED the birds on a wire and cutting the bottom of the papers for layering. LOVE how this card turned out--I really really LOVE it and my SSS stamps!
