PDCC 134

Hello, friends:}
We are starting another color story today over on the  Play Date Cafe blog! This week's colors are apricot, canary, latte, red.
I pulled out some of my favorite papers from Cosmo Cricket {available HERE from the RC} for this week's challenge. I LOOOOOOOVE these papers--esp. that camera design. I used some pink raffia from May Arts and a sentiment from Paper Smooches. The brads are homemade using my Imaginisce iTop. LOVE how this card turned out--some CAS and some modern! LOVE:)
That's it for me....but be sure to stop by the PDCC blog for complete details and prize information! Be sure to link up your creations by Tuesday, June 5th at 11:59pm EST.

Thanks for stopping by! Be blessed:}

Paper Made Bakery MAY kit creations

Hello, friends:}
I've been sharing my Paper Made Bakery creations over on the PMB blog with just sneak peeks here...so I created a post with all my creations that I made using the current month's kit supplies.
The PMB May kit, Portobello Road, was packed with lots of buttons and embellishments, along with papers and stamps from Pink Paislee. I have to admit that I'm not a fan of vintage or shabby--I just can't do this style! But I think my creations turned out FABULOUS:)
Size: 2 1/4" square
I created a small gift card/card holder using an old contact lens box as my template.
This gift card/card holder closes with a magnet.

That's it for me today! I'll be sharing more Paper Made Bakery goodness soon! We have a new kit coming for June! HOOOOORAY! The PMB release blog hop will be on June 1st--so mark your calendars! You are going to LOVE LOVE LOVE this new kit!!!

Be sure to stop by the PMB blog and check us out on Facebook and Twitter

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps #80 challenge

Hello, friends:}

I've created another fun card for the new Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps challenge #80--a photo inspiration! For more information on this challenge, click HERE
I love decorative umbrellas--only because 1) I have to cover my face/skin with one while out in the sun and 2) we just bought the coolest beach umbrella. So I guess you know what I was inspired by for my card:) I was kind of inspired by the teal blue color....I used my My Little Shoebox papers with my Rainy Day Ruby SCRS image. LOOOOOOOVE how this card turned out! I cannot take credit for the sketch/design--I used the Retro Sketch #13 as my inspiration {and YES! I followed the sketch!}.
Close-up of my paper piecing.
I used a clear fine glitter for the raindrops--SO pretty in the light (but not in the pic! LOL!).

That's it for me today! Be sure to stop by the SCRS blog for more details and to see the rest of the team's amazing creations!

You have until Sunday, June 3rd at 9pm PST to play along with the current challenge {HERE}. All SCRS challenges are open to all players--this week you are playing along to win a SCRS stamp!  In order to qualify for a prize, you must use a SC image.

Thanks so much for stopping by--I can't wait to see what you make for this challenge! Be blessed:}

Paper Smooches SPARKS Picture Perfect challenge May 28-June 3

Hello, friends:}

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! The fourth week of the month is always a Picture Perfect challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following picture:
I was instantly inspired by the piano--I wanted to make a piano image using some different images from my Paper Smooches Vogue Abode...but I ran out of time! So I went to my second idea of using some different images from several Paper Smooches stamp sets {Sugar Rush, Perpetual Bliss} for headphones. I loooooooove how these cards turned out! I used some of my Studio Calico papers {available HERE from the RC} for the background and hamster image. I love how that teal background looks like the music vibrations!
**If you look closely, his headphones have music notes on them! LOL!
 And then I received my NEW June Paper Smooches stamps in the mail and had to use the little goat from Green Acres for my second card. I wanted to make my card bold with teal, orange, and pink (all from the photo) so I pulled out my new Amy Tangerine Sketchbook papers. LOOOOOVE that goat! I was thinking of what sentiment to use for this card---"do si do"??? I am thinking of putting it up the right side vertically. I'll keep you posted:)
That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love

And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details. This challenge ends June 3rd. I cannot wait to see what you make--I just LOOOOOVE my Paper Smooches stamps!!!

THANKS so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

a little note

Hello, friends:)

I have a quick post for your today! I wanted to share this sweet note that I received last Sunday at church from my little friend, Dominic. He is just the cutest! His mom said that he wanted to interrupt a song to give me this special note! ADORABLE:) *I love his handwriting and how he has the words "Good Singers" and "Guitars"! Some of my favorite things!!!!

Thanks for this wonderful note, Dominic! I love it and have it hanging in my studio!

And just in case you didn't know....Trav and I have another blog, Cans4Christ. We are collecting cans for our church campaign. We go to the extremes to collect cans! I hope you will stop by and read about our adventures (esp. THIS post--Trav has mentioned in the top paragraph that I'm always right! LOVE it!).

Hope you all are doing well!!! THANKS for stopping by today! I will be back in the studio next week (when we "return" from our vacation!). Can't wait to get crafty! Many blessings:)Photobucket
