Virtual Smooches: Die Cutting Tip {dryer sheets}

Hello, friends:}

Today is my day to share a video over on the  Paper Smooches video blog- Virtual Smooches! **Note: Thursdays and/or Fridays are my NEW days to post on the VS blog:)
First I need to apologize for a couple of things:
  1. I'm so sorry for the canyon sized gap between my videos! I was traveling and then sick during the month of November. I really didn't get much done at all!
  2. I wanted to get this video completed last night but my iMovie program gave me the "black screen of death"... so I had to learn how to use a NEW version of this program. TOTALLY different than what I'm used to! I'm pretty happy with what I've completed, but I have LOTS to learn before I share another video!

So today I'm sharing a super cool tip that I learned a couple of weeks ago. You can use a dryer sheet when die cutting!!! This will help when working with intricate or simple images. SO CLEVER--- I wish I would have thought of this:)

Here's a sneak peek of my video:

THANKS so much for stopping by--- be sure to go HERE for my video! Be blessed:}

Paper Smooches challenge- December 2015

Hello, friends:}

Today we start a NEW Paper Smooches monthly challenge. The challenge for December is...... FLOWERS

I've got several ideas for this challenge--- I wish I had time to share them all! Funny thing: I don't even like flowers... LOL!

The challenge is to incorporate FLOWERS somewhere on your project (flower paper, washi tape, flower stamps/dies, etc).

I created two very CAS cards for this challenge. I used some older My Mind's Eye papers along with the Paper Smooches Religious Words and Adorable Array dies. You don't even have to use the entire die for your creation! I cut the two little flower buds off and added them to the sentiment die cut---- I love it!

I liked this design so much that I created more of a masculine faith card (I think this card could be given to either a male or a female). I stamped the sentiment using the PS Spiritual Sampler and used the same dies for the sentiment. I LOOOOOOOOOVE how simple it is!
That's it for me today! I hope you will join in the fun--- you could win a $50 gift certificate to the PS store!!! Be sure to stop by HERE to link up and to play along!

THANKS so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

Today I'm sharing a project using the NEW Foliage 3 dies--- oh my! Super cute and perfect for any addition to clusters and embellishments.
I used several PS stamps/dies for this card including: Streamers (stamps/dies), Quote Tag, and Butterfly Duets. I'm in love with those Foliage 3 leaf die cuts--- and I absolutely love that some of the leaf pieces are removed. This adds a bit more interest and makes the cluster and embellishment POP! LOVE LOVE LOVE it :)

PS November (gold) challenge- project #2

Hello, friends:}

I'm back from our Paris trip--- and I just want to say THANK YOU for all of your prayers for our safe return! We were over there for the terrorist attacks and thankfully were able to leave the next day! We had the most amazing time in France!!! We walked everywhere and visited lots of different museums... we ate in little cafes and had baguettes (MMMMMMMMM! My favorite!)...and we walked up almost every tower and building we could (for exercise). It was super fun!

Happy 9th Anniversary, Travis! Here's to 100+ more years of wedded bliss ❤️ Ecc. 4:12b
Unfortunately, I did get sick as soon as we got home:( But thankfully I didn't get sick over there! LOL!

Ok--- enough about our trip and my sickness....

I hope you've checked out (and played along with) the NEW Paper Smooches monthly challenge over on the PS blog. The challenge for November is...... GOLD

So I have about a hundred ideas for using GOLD on my PS projects, but I'm behind due to being on the couch most of the week. Hopefully I will share a couple more ideas this week:) You can use gold paint, gold paper, gold thread, gold embossing powder, sequins, and so much more! Just stamp with PS stamps and add gold--- then enter to win a $50 gift certificate.

For this card, I was inspired by a pink reindeer at Bath & Body Works. I watercolored this little reindeer from the Paper Smooches Enchanted Elves set and added gold glitter to his antlers. Super easy! I also wrapped a gold thread at the top of my linen paper card for extra bling (but it's still a simple card... I bet this card could be mass produced!). The sentiment is from the PS Holiday Cheer set. Easy, simple, and PERFECT for the PS November challenge. LOVE

That's it for me today! I hope you will join in the fun--- you could win a $50 gift certificate to the PS store!!! Be sure to stop by HERE to link up and to play along!

THANKS so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}
