Growing in Unity Day #4

Hello, friends!!

I can't believe that it is already Day #4 for my Growing in Unity week! I don't want it to end! I LOOOOOOOOOVE Unity! Today I'm sharing some of my newest favorite cards!!

The first two cards were created for the EtsyInspired Challenge. I loooooooove that challenge! How fun is this bag from Sand Box Studios?!! I just love owls! For this card, I used my new What a Hoot! stamp set from Unity! The sentiment is actually raised up on foam in the center. I wanted a "flowing banner look"...I also used that ledger stamp by Unity. I LOVE that stamp! This tag/card [it's no bigger than 3x4 inches] was created for my student, Nick. He did AWESOME this year in Math. I just love the way this tag turned out!
This next card was created using Unity's 6 pack Unity Essentials owl stamp. There are actually three owls on the branch, but I cut one off. I made the image by paper piecing it, and then I stuck 3D foam dots under the DP. I love it! The sentiment is from Unity's May KOTM. Super cute card! I just love the way the owls are looking at you--and then the sentiment says, "Sending you a little happy!" HA!!! Too cute:}
Just a side view--you can kind of see the raised DP and the owls hanging off the edge.

This next card has got to be my FAVORITE! This card was created for the CPS 173 sketch challenge. I just love that typewriter stamp from Unity's Nov. KOTM. I made the paper coming out of the typewriter look 3D by bending it and using foam underneath. I don't know what that is called...but I love it! The hearts [Unity's Love Bug stamp set] were embossed and then cut out. I love how I stamped the sentiment and then used stitching around the edges--but not where the sentiment was...I thought that made the card's details pop! I just love this card! SO FUN!
Well...that's all for my cards today. Be sure to do the following:::

Growing in Unity Day #3

Hello, friends:}

HOOOOORAY for Growing in Unity Day #3!!!!!!!!! I love love love these cards!! I just love Unity! These stamps are so FAB!

This first card was created for a CAS and only yellow/blue/neutral color challenge. Um....this ended up not being so CAS...and I added a bit more than those three colors! I still love it:} I used Unity's June KOTM {birds}, May KOTM {banner, alphabets}, and Plant a Tree stamps. I also used burlap string that I got from Limelight! Love this card! How super cute! It could be for a baby or a new job....new house!!

This next card was created for the Limelight [sketch and string] and EtsyInspired [Sand Box Studio] challenges! LOOOOOOOVE both challenges! I get lots of my Unity store kits from Limelight actually!! I used Unity's What a Hoot stamp, along with Unity's Owl Journal Box. Both stamp sets fit this inspiration photo of an owl! I flipped the sketch and used the burlap string {from Limelight} as the branch for the big owl to sit on! I also used vellum and painted on the back of it for the owl journal box. I think this card turned out super cute! I LOOOVE it! I love these stamps:}
I will be back tomorrow with more Unity goodness! I can't help but share more! Be sure to stop back by---and if you have time...scroll down! I am having three giveaways on my blog this week!

Growing in Unity--day #2

Hello, friends;}

Welcome to day #2 of Growing in Unity!! I love it! And today is also the  H{ippity} Hop! HOOOORAY for two sets of awesome stamp sets!!!

For my first two sets of cards, I went CAS. I normally don't do this. I feel like there should be more....more flowers, or ribbon, or gems...but I really like how they turned out. This first set was created with a pack of Dew Drop inks. I love that big flower from Ippity's Now & Always. Super pretty! I used a sentiment from Ippity's The Simple Things set. Love how simple these cards really are!
This next CAS set of cards are proofs for a friend--Concetta, DON'T LOOK! She is getting married in September. And I wanted to give her some fancy yet simple "Thank You" cards. Her colors are white, black, and red. This fit perfectly! Each card was stamped with Ippity's Regal Greetings flourish tag. I stamped the sentiment with Unity's Encompassed Grace. Super easy--and fun!
{Love that the center card is crooked! EH!}
I've been wanting to use this cross from Ippity's What Matter's Most stamp set forEVER! Ever since this set came out! I love how pretty it is! I knew that I wanted to use it on a scrapbook page about my Heavenly Father....well, this past week, I saw on A Crafty Little Place's blog there is a challenge to make a scrapbook page about our father (or Heavenly Father). Perfect:} I know this page is simple--just journaling and the cross...but I really like it.
Journaling::: Beth Moore Bible Study-- This bible study was learning how to break free of bondage that holds us back from GOD's LOVE! Nothing can take love away from God--He is LOVE! I realized in this session that I say I love God...but I'm not loving Him. My favorite thing that Beth Moore spoke about was how God loved us first, thus we can love because of His great love [1 John 4:19]. We shouldn't say, "I love you"...but "I love you, too!!" He is the source and the initiator of Love. He said it FIRST and continues to say it first. Our response is that we love Him also!
**NOTE:: I stamped the cross on a bible page. Forgot how fragile the pages are...and it ripped! Eh. I still love it!

My last card...was the HARDEST one to create! It was for the Ippity challenge [paper pieceing]. If you look around my blog--you will see that I paper piece almost every card. I thought, "Easy!" NOT! I didn't know what to start with or what stamp set to use! Eh! For one of my favorite challenges...I had a hard time with this card. However, I think this card turned out quite nice! I like it lots;) I used Ippity's What Matter's Most stamp set. I also used my Snippity of Ippity tag stamp. I really like this card! LOVE it:}
Well...that is it for me today...be sure to stop back by tomorrow for more Unity goodness! I love love love the cards I will be sharing! LOOOOOOVE them! And don't forget to leave some love--all week! And later this week, you will get double chances to win!! What's up for grabs??? I forgot to tell you!! For Growing in Unity--Angela has offered one of these fab stamp sets:::

For my giveaway...I am sending one lucky winner the Unity set Sending My Love.  LOOOVE it! Who doesn't love free stuff?? Even better--free stamps!! Even better--FREE Unity stamps:}

Thanks so much for stopping by! Love visiting with you! Thanks for all your support and love--it means so much to me:} Be blessed!

Today, I would like to share with you one of my newest FAV cards! This really is a fav--I love the color combo and the sketch..MMMM! I am entering it into the Mojo Monday sketch challenge and Lucky Girl Crafts inspiration challenge. When I saw this pic of Lucky Girl kit supplies (kit name: Summer Lovin'), I knew I would love this card! I just love this butterfly--it is from Unity's Life Becoming set. Gorgeous! I also love that ledger stamp from Unity! I actually cut it smaller and just distressed the edges! The scalloped tag is from Unity's Garden Variety set. The sentiment is from Confessions. I love when I can use five different sets for a card! I tried to twist that ribbon on the card...I found it was harder than I though--still think it's super cute:}

FWF {I couldn't help myself...LOTS of pics!!!}

Hello, friends:} And welcome friends with FLAIR!!!

I'm super excited to share with you today all of the cards that I created this week. I also have so pretty exciting news! Remember this card from earlier this week...well...it was for our friends, The Neff's. They had their baby boy, Isaiah Riley, on June 22 at 11:46pm! HOOOORAY! I love that card--and I just had to give it to them!!! Here is a pic of me holding Isaiah {I think he already knows who his fav aunt is--ME!}. **NOTE:: Look at all that blonde hair! CUTE!!!

My first card was created for the Everything But The Kitchen Sink #17 and CARDS challenges. I was really stumped with Paige's challenge [to use pretty pins, hat pins, etc.]. I only had these pins for sewing...but I love the way this card turned out! I used Unity's Oct. KOTM sentiment stamp. I thought it was perfect for this card! LOOOOOOVE it:}
**NOTE:: I really need to learn how to take pics...that teal paper has score lines--it is super cute in person!

My next card was created for the EtsyInspired challenge. I love that blog!! I was inspired by this candle and gems from White Birch Designs. I used my new stamps from Unity by Samantha Walker {Butterfly Garden and Encompassed Grace}. I really like these stamps! So pretty! This card didn't turn out the way I wanted it to...but I really like this version compared to the first one! HA! LOVE it:}

This next card was inspired by the FWF30 and Cupcake Inspiration challenges. I used the same stamps as the challenge card, and the colors from the cupcake! The stamps I used were from Unity's Moments in Bloom and Quite Essence sets. The sentiment is from Unity's Life Becoming stamp set. I really really like the way this card turned out. I LOOOOOOOVE it! I really do:}

My next card was created for my friend, Jen Am. LOVE her! This card was actually inspired by last week's Cupcake Inspiration challenge. I loved the colors--and I had to create a card for Jen with them! I used Unity's Life Becoming {butterfly} and Naturally You {beauty definition} stamp sets for this card. I just love those rhinestones! BEAUTIFUL

This last card....has got to be one of my FAVS! **NOTE:: I know--I say that a lot...but I really do love this card! I created it for the Critter Sketch challenge. I've had this idea for this New Year's Eve party invite for about three months...but I just didn't know how to make it. Then I saw this challenge sketch--and KNEW!  All the stamps used on this card are from Unity's Soiree and Such stamp set. I absolutely love those little glasses (wine/champagne glasses--not even sure what they are called)!! This stamp is actually solid--so I stamped it and cut out part of the glasses and masked the stamp again. I stamped the second time to reveal an open area. LOVE it! Then I added Glossy Accents and glitter to make it look like champagne! I LOOOOOOOOOOVE it! The 2011 is also glittered! I just love this card:} Now I have to have a party so I can use these invites!
 Just had to show a close-up of that glass:}
Well...that is all for me today! Be sure to stop by Unity's blog for a complete list of friends with flair!! And be sure to leave some love--you could win 25 free Unity stamps!! HOOOORAY!
