PDCC #62

Hello, friends:}

We have a FRESH color story to share with you today! LOVE The Play Date Cafe color challenges--this one has been brought to us by our wonderful leader, Julie! She is mixing some fuschia, poppy, and taupe together! LOVE LOVE LOVE this inspiration photo! I did have to ask what taupe was--and Julie's response was about pantyhose! LOL! Too funny:} **NOTE:: Taupe is a light light brown/tan

I made this sympathy pocket card for a good friend. His wife recently passed away, and I thought these colors were beautiful, soothing, and uplifting just like she was! I looooooooove this frame by Tattered Angels. I glittered it up for extra texture and used by Hero Arts script stamp for the background. I love how that sentiment {Unity Encompassed Grace} peeks through the pocket. I also love love love those butterflies {Unity Happy Everything}. They are actually all different-look closely to the bottoms! CUTE! The polka dots are also a Unity stamp! I think that this card was perfect for this occasion.

This is another creation I used (with all three colors)...I made a birthday journal with my new Suzi Blu Unity stamp {you can get one at Paper Maniac for a good price!!}. I also used my Unity cupcakes from the 6 pack essentials stamp set. I have to say that the glitter on the top (the stars) really is pink--it looks purple in the pic. The sentiment is actually on the top and bottom of the Suzi Blu stamp--I just masked it and stamped it together. LOVE how this turned out. It is super cute and perfect for a birthday gift!
That's it for me today--but stop on by the other PDCC DT members' blogs! LOVE all their creations!

Savannah O'Gwynn {that's me!}

Glitter Queen

Hello friends:}

I hope that you all had a merry CHRISTmas!

Today I wanted to share with you a door decoration that I made for the Glitter is Glam Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. I love the Moxie Fab blog--always with the newest and greatest ideas/techniques/etc. LOVE IT! So I thought I would use my new Suzi Blu stamp {Unity- Queen of Glitter} [which I got for a great deal over at Paper Maniac] for this challenge. I glittered up this stamp! All the way! Glitter EVERYWHERE! I wanted to be a bit different--so I glittered the entire outfit, hair, crown, and leggings of this little image. I love those orange and white leggings! Super cute! Then I made this door hanger into a shaker box--filling it with shimmer clear glitter. LOVE it! I also added a glittered ribbon! ACK--glittered ribbon! LOVE this entire project!

Here is a close-up...love love love all this glitter--just not cleaning it up! :}

That's it for me today...I will be back with pictures of my trip to Indiana, meeting Julie Ranae, my Christmas with Trav....and tomorrow starts a new Play Date Cafe challenge! So be on the look out! Thanks so much for stopping by! Lots and lots of love to you! Be blessed:}

FWF {Christmas Eve style}

Hello, friends:}

What a special day for FWF over at Unity--Christmas Eve FWF! Fun:} Don't forget to head over to the Unity blog for a complete list of FWF friends and click HERE for some amazing deals going on at Unity! I've already drooled over the sales! Hope that some of these stamp sets are in my stocking this year!!

My first card was created for the FWF56 challenge. Our inspiration was Angie's winter themed card. So I created a holiday themed card too! This card is perfect for the Wee Memories {photo- holiday colors} and the ColorQ # 64. I love how this snowman turned out. He is from my Unity Dec. 2010 KOTM, along with that tag. I actually inked that tag up on the edges to make the center clear for the sentiment [Nov. 2010 KOTM]. LOVE that glitter on the snowman! SO cute! And his hat and heart were made with red flocking! SO SO SO cute!

This next card was created using Mona's color challenge. Love bright pink with gray! Super clever combo! I also love love love this dress form from my Unity Uniquely You set. I also used my spool from Unity's Material Girl set. The tag is from Ippity's A Moment in Time. Sooooooo cute! Simple and gorgeous--check out the glitter on the dress! Love it!!
My last card was created for the CardPatterns 95 challenge. I wanted to be a bit different, so I used my numbers from Unity's Learning {year by year} set. The bigger 4 and the cupcakes are from Unity's 6 pack essentials. The sentiment (one of my FAVS!) is from the July 2010 KOTM. Super fun! I am actually giving this to my little niece, Kadence, next year for her 4th birthday! I think she will LOVE it!
That's it for me today...well...actually, it's not! I have one more project over at All Things Unity! It's super cute! Head over there now--because it's the next stop on this blog hop!

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me some love! I appreciate your love and support! I have the best followers:} Merry CHRISTmas!! Be blessed!

Hello, friends:}
Today starts another color story over at The Play Date Cafe! And we have some good news--the NEW PDCC DT has been revealed! HOOOORAY! Check out these fabulous ladies who are joining our team starting in January 2011
Colleen Dietrich {New Private Blend Designer}
Wow--this team is SUPER DUPER talented! LOVE it:} Love the PDCC! Welcome ladies!!

And for this week's color story, Sarah, sent us this vintage photo focusing on bright blue, wine, and beige. How cute is that deer? LOVE it! I wanted to make a card with a deer on it...but I decided to use my new Unity stamps that I got from Limelight {which has some amazing deals going on!!}. I love that music background too [Ippity Music of my Heart]. I used my new perfect pearls for the angel's hair and a gold pen for the halo. The seam binding is beige gold. LOVE that it adds that softer vintage look! And that glitter--LOVE IT!
So I wanted to make another project with these colors...but I think my wine glitter looks more red in this pic. I used my Itty Bitty from Unity for this mini tag/card. The wrapping paper is a gold beige...but now that I look at it--it looks more gold brown. Eh. Pictures--never show the true color (well...at least for me! LOL!). I still like it--and I KNOW that my friend will enjoy this gift:}
That's it for me. Be sure to stop by all the other Play Date Cafe DT members' blogs--OH MY! Fabulous creations shared today!!

Savannah O'Gwynn {that's me!}

EIC #119 {Ling Glass}

**NOTE:: This post was created a week ago--and scheduled for 12.18... but it went up on the 17th...then I saved it as a draft and rescheduled it for the correct time...and then never published it! OY VEY! I've had some problems with dates lately! SUPER SORRY!

Hello, friends:}

I'm back for some EtsyInspired fun!! What a great week over at EIC--we have some new DT members being announced soon, and we have a FABULOUS {or Moxie Fab} store to check out this week! We are headed over to Ling Glass this week for our inspiration! Ling Glass was featured on Moxie Fab's website on November 3rd this year. WOW! They have some amazing jewelry pieces that are handcrafted. Our sponsor this week is Wilson Designs Stamps Wilson Designs Stamps is owned by Kim from Off The Wall Craftiness. They have super super cute stamps {I would call  WDS Moxie Fab too!!}.

I was inspired by this adorable pendant with a deer stamp. I knew this would make the perfect birthday card for ... I can't tell, but it is PERFECT! I used my Stampendous Birch Buddies deer and my Unity Love Beyond Measure postage stamp {you can't tell--but it is the background of the metal piece} and my Ippity Here & Now ticket stamp for this card. Simple--but super cute! Love the neutral colors--perfect for a man!!
That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by all these other fabulous blogs by the EIC DT! You are going to love this eye candy!!

Lots to share today! First up is our Play Date Cafe color story!! OH my--I just love those "splashes" of color! This week Julie has picked a combo that is a wee bit away from the Christmas theme colors...we are doing black, white, and YELLOW! FUN!

I used my black and white houndstooth paper with some Unity stamps {No Regrets [wood], ticket [Nov. 09 KOTM], and tag [Togetherness Icons]}. Love that splash of yellow on the tickets and gem! I also used some Thickers letters for the sentiment. LOVE LOVE LOVE how this turned out.
