The LOC DT is having this blog hop in celebration of the release of Spellbinders NEWEST die templates: Decorative Dress Forms {designed by Nina Brackett and Laura Campbell} and Nested Tea Cups {designed by Laura Campbell}!!! LOC will be offering both these new dies February 1, 2012--or you can purchase them NOW through Crafters Home participating stores.
Come join us for a spot of tea and enjoy these tasty treats for the eyes!!
For my creation, I used a template {availble for FREE below} by LOC's Melisa. I knew that I wanted to make a tea cup card for my MIL---so I made the tea cup a pocket to hold a tea bag that I created using coordinating patterned paper. Then I stamped a sentiment for the tea bag tag using LOC's Teacup Blessings {My MIL is the MOST amazing woman I know--she is giving, loving, kind, gentle, understanding, supportive, and so much more! So that is why I picked this sentiment--my cup runneth over because of her!}. LOVE!! Then I thought I should add a silhouette from Nina's new stamp set Sweet Silhouettes. PERFECT! I think my MIL will love it!
Thank you for spending this lovely time together with us today! What a joy to be here with you! Please help yourself to these lovely tea-inspired FREE TEMPLATES exclusively from Layers of Color!!!
- Teacup Card Template, designed by Melisa Waldorf {see above card for example}
- Paper Tea Cup and Saucer, designed by Laura Kirste Campbell {see picture to the right}
Layers of Color has wonderful tea-inspired art stamps to go with your tea cup projects! You may need sweet sentiments and verses, a spoonful of honey with Teacup Blessings, and of course some flowers and lace doilies to decorate the table! We'd love to see what you do with these unique templates and art stamps! Please share your delicious creations on the LOC's FB page!!!
