Hello, friends and friends with FLAIR!
**NOTE:: Good things at the bottom of this post:}
This FWF is special because it is Unity's 2nd birthday! I have had a blast on the forum chit chatting it up with other peeps...and trying to win at the games....as well as participating in challenges! Thanks, Unity, for such an awesome week!
My first card was inspired by the FWF22 card by Nina Brackett! Isn't she amazing! I used my new KOTM set. I paper pieced the humming bird--and the wings are done twice (once with cream/light yellow and again with transparency). I love this card--the base of the card was actually my base for the PDCC challenge in the post below...but it was too small...so instead of throwing it away, I decided to use it for this card. Good choice, I think:} This card also fits the "Unity is going to the birds" challenge and All Things Unity [things up in the sky--I know...humming birds are not UP in the sky...but they do FLY in the sky!]. LOOOOOOOVE this card!
My next card is a sweet card--I love how simple it is. It also fits the All Things Unity challenge. Rain is up in the sky...and this card uses my Unity Rain and Flowers stamp set that I got from Limelight. Love it! Simple!
This card was created for the Limelight challenge going on right now. It was my third sketch. I love this card--it is for a baby boy. I used Unity's Could I Be Any Cuter? set for that cute elephant, as well as Confessions for the criss-cross action going on down on the bottom and Our Stories set for the sentiment. LOOOOOVE this card!
Here are the other two Limelight challenge cards that used Unity--you can scroll down to see the whole post. I love both of these cards--esp. the Berry Adorable card!! ACk--LOOOOOVE it!
This card was created for the "Unity Love at first sight" challenge by Carol. She challenged us to use our first Unity stamps. The first two stamps I bought from Unity:: the Bingo stamp and the Augsut 2009 KOTM. The KOTM had that bicycle in it--I had to have it! So that is what I used on this card. I paired it with my Feb. KOTM bird and the sentiment is from the March KOTM. The tag is from Our Stories set. LOVE this card--super cute!
Last week was my week for Growing In Unity! Had a BLAST--soooo much fun. I was having so much fun crafting that I forgot to share with you how I store my Unity stamps. I had some issues with this at first--LONG story...and I still don't know how the foam got like that!!...but now I store all of my foam stamps in this storage unit. That door on the side opens up to reveal several of these plastic cases from Target [and I was silly enough to buy the ones from Japan--way more expensive! Just go to Target!!]. I love these cases--they hold two full KOTM sets or several small sets in each one. I only have a couple more to fill before I have to go get more! And I label them with my Casio lable maker--simple! Oraganized! And out of the way!!
Well...that is it for me today! Be sure to stop by HERE for the full FWF blog list! And be sure to leave some love--you might win some Unity stamps! And....if you leave some love here....you could WIN! I am having a giveaway today because it is my younger brother's bday--HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CARREL! So go ahead and leave me some love...or wish Carrel (pronounced CARL) some love--I'll be putting together a package of papers and ribbons and some other goodies for our winner!! Good luck:} Giveaway ends April 30th at midnight!!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Love when we visit! Love Unity! Be blessed:}
Until next time~
Love, Sav
