Welcome to day #2 of Growing in Unity!! I love it! And today is also the H{ippity} Hop! HOOOORAY for two sets of awesome stamp sets!!!
For my first two sets of cards, I went CAS. I normally don't do this. I feel like there should be more....more flowers, or ribbon, or gems...but I really like how they turned out. This first set was created with a pack of Dew Drop inks. I love that big flower from Ippity's Now & Always. Super pretty! I used a sentiment from Ippity's The Simple Things set. Love how simple these cards really are!
This next CAS set of cards are proofs for a friend--Concetta, DON'T LOOK! She is getting married in September. And I wanted to give her some fancy yet simple "Thank You" cards. Her colors are white, black, and red. This fit perfectly! Each card was stamped with Ippity's Regal Greetings flourish tag. I stamped the sentiment with Unity's Encompassed Grace. Super easy--and fun!
{Love that the center card is crooked! EH!}
I've been wanting to use this cross from Ippity's What Matter's Most stamp set forEVER! Ever since this set came out! I love how pretty it is! I knew that I wanted to use it on a scrapbook page about my Heavenly Father....well, this past week, I saw on A Crafty Little Place's blog there is a challenge to make a scrapbook page about our father (or Heavenly Father). Perfect:} I know this page is simple--just journaling and the cross...but I really like it.
Journaling::: Beth Moore Bible Study-- This bible study was learning how to break free of bondage that holds us back from GOD's LOVE! Nothing can take love away from God--He is LOVE! I realized in this session that I say I love God...but I'm not loving Him. My favorite thing that Beth Moore spoke about was how God loved us first, thus we can love because of His great love [1 John 4:19]. We shouldn't say, "I love you"...but "I love you, too!!" He is the source and the initiator of Love. He said it FIRST and continues to say it first. Our response is that we love Him also!**NOTE:: I stamped the cross on a bible page. Forgot how fragile the pages are...and it ripped! Eh. I still love it!
My last card...was the HARDEST one to create! It was for the Ippity challenge [paper pieceing]. If you look around my blog--you will see that I paper piece almost every card. I thought, "Easy!" NOT! I didn't know what to start with or what stamp set to use! Eh! For one of my favorite challenges...I had a hard time with this card. However, I think this card turned out quite nice! I like it lots;) I used Ippity's What Matter's Most stamp set. I also used my Snippity of Ippity tag stamp. I really like this card! LOVE it:}
Well...that is it for me today...be sure to stop back by tomorrow for more Unity goodness! I love love love the cards I will be sharing! LOOOOOOVE them! And don't forget to leave some love--all week! And later this week, you will get double chances to win!! What's up for grabs??? I forgot to tell you!! For Growing in Unity--Angela has offered one of these fab stamp sets:::
