WOW--another awesome week over at The Play Date Cafe!! It's so fun looking at all the creations!! I am def. inspired when I finish leaving comments! LOVE IT:} Thanks for playing along with us.
This week...we have another COLOR SPLASH for you! This photo lets you choose which additional color you want to use! HOW FUN! The colors this week::: black and white with one of the following: copper, gold, or pink! Our sponsor this week is Creative Cuts & More. The DT actually received some of these fabulous die cuts in the mail to play with for the challenge!
I picked this chair because it reminded me of when I got married. The story:: I wanted to make my wedding really special and unique {which I can share all kinds of details later!! Just email me!!}. One of the things I did for Trav was create gifts for him for every hour until we got married starting at 8am. I wrote notes and letters and gave him a little gift. Most gifts were gag gifts or funny things that would make him laugh. Our photographer {Studio 4 Photography} actually took some pics of the fun goodies I gave him.
These are the tags telling Trav when to open his gifts!
Here is Trav opening one silly gift--I found these at a Halloween sale! LOL!
So back to this chair die cut--I wanted to make it with a feather and a bird....something you would put on the tables for the guest. But then I saw the Key to Joy Unity stamp kit--and I knew I had to make a box with a butterfly and key. This is something I would have given to Trav as an hourly gift! I love how the white ink stamped on the black box turned out--kind of faded. I love that key on the butterfly! I actually cut the key down so it wouldn't be too heavy for the butterfly to carry:} LOVE IT!
My next creation reminded me of our wedding cake. Trav loves loves loves CAKE {kind of like I love love love Unity!}!! I let him pick which cake he wanted but I picked what was engraved on our knife set. They say, "I like cake! TROG" with our wedding date. LOL! So I made a crafty raspberry filled cake box. I figured that the guest would want to know what type of cake they are eating--so this would be fun to set by the cake table. I embossed the bottom of the cake and then filled each dot with glossy accents and fine glitter. LOVE it! Trav helped me with the photography--love his eye! It was really hard to see the cake on white...that pink tissue really helped!
Some of the glitter detail--not sure if you can see it??
That's it for me today! But don't worry--there are more AWESOME creations on each of the PDCC DT members' blogs! Go visit--AMAZING!
I hope you will play along with us--the challenge ends Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 11:59pm!! Cannot wait to see what you make:}
