Hello, friends:}
The new RCC challenge is actually brought you to by ME!!! I am wanting us to get PUNNY! So create a funny, quirky, cute, sassy or punny card to join in the fun this week! Our sponsor this week is Lawn Fawn {who has some of the cutest, punny-est stamp sets around!).
I actually made two creations this week. The first one I featured HERE last week on my blog. I love this stamp set by Paper Smooches. What's from a spool? The string around the pilings--I separated the Divine Twine again. LOVE getting two strings for the price of one! But then I thought that this might not count since the thread is so small....
So I created another card. I used the same sketch from Moxie Fab's horizontial challenge. I love these papers by My Mind's Eye--OH! Just lush:) I used my Birthday Buddies stamp set from Paper Smooches. It was perfect for a punny card! I made the mole hill three times with "dirt" {flocking}--making it look like the mole came up several times! What's from a spool? That teeny tiny bow on the mole's head! That is Pink Salmon vintage seam binding from The Ribbon Carousel! LOOOOOOOOOOVE how this turned out:}
I'm not really sure if this is a mole, a beaver, ????
- Make your creation following the ribbon carousel challenge (sketch, inspiration, style or color) image. Be sure to include some type of ribbon, twine, hemp, lace....basically, anything that comes on a spool.
- Load your creation up onto your blog or a public viewing forum like SplitcoastStampers, (use the keyword RCC20) with a direct link back to The RCC blog post. Including the challenge graphic isn't a requirement, but sure is appreciated! A participant of our very first challenge didn't link back or mention our challenge and couldn't be named Top Spool, so don't let that happen to you!
- Come back to The RCC blog post and link in your creation using the Inlinkz button at the bottom of this post. Your image may take a little while to pop up but don't worry it will appear shortly.
- Be sure to come back the Friday after the challenge ends to see if YOU are a Top Spool! :D
This Challenge will end on Sept. 19th, 2011 at 11:59pm EST.
I really hope you will play along! Please stop by the RCC blog for more details, more projects from the RCC DT, and to link up your creation! Also, please head over to The Ribbon Carousel website and check out their products!!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}
