Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! The second week of the month is always a DESIGNER DRAFT challenge.
This week we are inspired by the following sketch:
Ok-- I just want you to know that I realllllllllly tried to follow this sketch! I did! But since we are on vacation and I had to make this before we left... I needed a simple CAS design. So I changed some of this sketch: 1. I didn't use a center panel 2. The polka dots are words and 3. I didn't use a center sentiment on the banner. This is a "Typical Sav" sketch... so that shouldn't surprise you:)
I created this card for my Mom's friend/co-worker. She was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer (not sure which one... but I figured a pink card would be ok for any type). She really needs to be lifted up, so I wanted to give her a card using my FAV Paper Smooches stamp set, Hope. I also used the PS Hope die along with the Streamers die and coordinating stamp set. And the sentiment is from the PS Spiritual Sampler set. LOOOOOOVE how this turned out! **If you have time, please pray for Bev and her family. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs, get inspired, and leave them some love.
ps... just in case you like to get a "head start" on challenges, we now share the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge photos on the Paper Smooches blog on SUNDAYS!!! That's one day early!!! Be sure to check it out HERE!!
ps2... head over to the Splitcoast Forums to check out and chat with the PS crew and fans!! Use the keyword papersmooches when loading up your creations to your gallery!
So sorry to to hear about your Mom's friend...she's definitely going to love your PINK card...it's fantastic.

ReplyDeleteTOTALLY praying for Bev; let her know I'm sending them on angel's wings so they'll arrive in super speed! Your card is FABULOUS - design-wise (love Savannah-style cards1), but especially 'essence' wise! You'll definitely uplift Bev's spirits. Faith, Hope, Love, Prayer - the greatest gifts of all!!
