Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week we are sharing a DESIGNER DRAFT challenge.
This week we are inspired by the following sketch:
**Sentiments can be placed anywhere on the sketch.
My card is very simple-- based on the sketch as well as THIS layout by Janna Werner. LOVE her style! And I thought this layout would be perfect for this sketch. I used the diag design for the left panel, and the vellum and little note as the two center panels. I did move the green strip down and used alphas. So I think I followed this sketch.... maybe 80%! LOL!
I created a graduation card for someone that should be graduating from college in May! I can't wait to share who that is:) I used the Hey Boy paper collection by Basic Grey along with vellum paper and washi tape. I stamped the male image from the Paper Smooches Off the Charts on the reverse side of the vellum to create a soft gray design. I also used the sentiment from the PS Chart Topper set. LOOOOOOVE how simple this card is! Thanks for the inspiration, Janna;)
That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs, get inspired, and leave them some love.
This is AWESOME! I loveeeeeeee the sentiment and the arrow pointing it out!!!

ReplyDeleteYou are a creative genius, Sav! I love how the sketches inspire you! I never in a million years would have come up with this. Just love how your mind works! Curious, curious who the grad is!! Can't wait for the reveal!!
ReplyDeleteWow!! Sav I LOVE this card design!! Such an AWESOME use of the stamp sets!! ;) THANKS for sharing and have a Fabulous Holiday Weekend!! ;)
ReplyDeleteLove that little guy stamped on vellum to create the patterned paper, wonderful card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a PERFECT grad card (I've already been asked to make some; hard to believe!), and I may be borrowing your idea here, if I may! From the images, to the "great job" arrow, to the papers (more swooning!), so the layout: absolutely awesome! Whoever the 'mystery' recipient is, I know he'll LOVE x LOVE it, as do I. Big LOVE! My dear Savannah - wishing you the most Merry Christmas ever! You've been such a blessing! May your day be filled with peace, joy and abundance, sharing time with the people you LOVE, doing the things you LOVE! Blessings, to you and yours! Hugs~c
