FWF

Hello, friends...and friends with flair:}

LOOOOOOOOVE my Unity stamps! LOOOOOOOOOOVE my PDC challenges!! Better yet--Unity + PDCC! That's what's happening over there this week! Unity is sponsoring the The Play Date Cafe challenge! It's our one year anniversary--head over HERE if you haven't checked it out yet! Today, Brooke and Lesley, from the Unity DT, will be sharing their talent with us!! THANKS, ladies:}

I haven't shared these cards yet--I made them for the Unity WCMD challenges. I had a great time with these challenges! I really stepped out of my "comfort" zone of regular cards and ideas!! This first card was created for the WCMD challenge #22 {handmade flower embellishment}. I never ever make my own flowers...probably because I don't understand how to make those 3D rolled flowers fit in an envelope without smashing...so I went a different route. I used vellum and made petals (several layers) for this soft flower. Loved how it turned out! And I looooooooove that paper. It has been sitting on my desk for WEEKS! I used Unity's Bug Set for the sentiment and if you look close...that text is from Treasure To Me set. So fun and simple:}

This next card has been made for my FIL's bday in January! I'm trying to stay ahead:} I also made this for the Unity WCMD challenge #13 {paint}. I used brown paint for the polka dots and white paint for the grid and mushroom. I really like how this turned out! I used Unity's Our Stories Our Life [mushroom], postcard stamp, Learning {year by year} [ruler], Kitchen Logic [oval], sentiment [July KOTM], and Ippity's Dots For Sure [polka dots] and tag from Snippity of Ippity set. LOVE LOVE LOVE combining sets!!
This card was super fun to make--it was my first swing card {Unity's WCMD #6}. I like that little circle that was cut in half--kind of ties the whole swing card together!! I used Unity's What A Hoot! set [paper piecing it of course!]. I am not sure I mastered the folding and scoring of this type of card--but it was fun to make! Might have to try it again!!
My last card was created for this week's Unity Addicts challenge {stamping on felt}. I KNEW I had to use felt for these mittens when I saw this set! I used Unity's October KOTM for the mittens and sentiment. So so so fun! And an easy mini card:}
That's it for me today! There's more Unity Flair shared on Unity's blog--you will find a complete list of blogs to hop! And don't forget to leave some love--you could win FREE Unity:}

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to check the PDCC as well! We've got some Unity DT sharing some beautiful creations today! Lots of love--thanks again! Be blessed:}

  3. LOTS OF SUPER SNAZZY cards!! The little felt mittens one is soooo precious and gives me all sorts of warm fuzzies!

    Your little Hoot Hoot Owl card is so cool with the bending and folds! I just love your style with the paper piecing and the design of it.

    And that flower on your "my friend" card is SUPER pretty. It's kind of sheer and a great embellishment to your card!

  5. I am SO with you on the 3D embellies thing. I've always wondered how people fit those into mailing envelopes...but now I make alot of those type of cards just to give by hand. I love that you used the vellum for that flower, so pretty. Your cards are always so fabulous!
