Ribbon Carousel #58: heavy metal challenge

Hello, friends:}
I'm back with another fun Ribbon Carousel challenge! This week I've challenged you to use HEAVY METAL on your projects!!! Any sort of metal brad, clip, or other embellishment will do the trick!

I challenged myself twice--1. RCC #58 {heavy metal} and 2. using scraps for my entire card. I had some scrap papers on my desk that were very masculine and patriotic. So I pulled out my Paper Smooches Little Fella stamp set and created a fun Hero card for my cousin who is currently stationed in Afghanistan. I also looked around on my desk for some metal and ribbon/twine. I found a mini stapler and some of my favorite brown jute twine {available HERE from the RC}. **OK--the twine is a bit short for that panel, but I love it:) I think that I have passed both challenges:) LOOOOOOOVE it!
The twine has been stapled on to the panels.
I've also used several metal pieces and ribbon from the RC on the following cards this week--card one and card two. **I've used more, but I figured I would only link to these:) I love using brads and mini clips on my creations! <3

The RCC team would love for you to join in the fun this week! Here are the details:
  • Make your NEW creation following the ribbon carousel challenge (sketch, inspiration, style or color) image. Be sure to include some type of ribbon, twine, hemp, lace....basically, anything that comes on a spool.
  • Your creation can be ANYTHING from cards, quilts, sewn items, paper crafts, paintings! ***Be sure to have ribbon, bakers twine, jute twine, lace, thread (basically anything that comes on a spool) on your creation! And be sure to follow the RCC challenge theme!
  • Load your creation up onto your blog or a public viewing forum like SplitcoastStampers, (use the keyword RCC58) with a direct link back to The RCC blog post. Including the challenge graphic isn't a requirement, but sure is appreciated! A participant of our very first challenge didn't link back or mention our challenge and couldn't be named Top Spool, so don't let that happen to you!
  • Come back to The RCC blog post and link in your creation using the Inlinkz button at the bottom of this post. Your image may take a little while to pop up but don't worry it will appear shortly.
  • Be sure to come back the Friday after the challenge ends to see if YOU are a Top Spool! :D
Please head over to The Ribbon Carousel website and check out their products!!! I just love THIS link on their site--it's shows all the NEW items **THIS link gets me in trouble A LOT! I just loooooooove my papers and ribbons:)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}
