Paper Smooches SPARKS Feb. Designer Drafts challenge

Hello, friends:}

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week we are sharing a DESIGNER DRAFT challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following sketch:
**Sentiments can be placed anywhere on the sketch.

I realllllllly tried to follow this sketch! I really did! But this design just came to me and I went with it:) LOL! I used a journaling card (Dear Lizzy/Becky Higgins Polka Dot Party) for the white panel.... I also made the bottom two strips into a washi tape and string combo....the vertical strip became a sentiment. So.... I wouldn't say I really steered away from this sketch! LOL! I followed it maybe 78%! LOL!

I created these birthday cards using some of my fav product- including some American Crafts Polka Dot Party papers and Paper Smooches Happy Birthday and Group Hugs stamp sets. The sentiments are stamped in some Tsukineko Delicata Silvery Shimmer inks!! LOVE! And that vellum banner (cut from the PS Flag Tags die set) has a white sentiment stamped using Memento Luxe Wedding Dress. LOOOOOOVE how soft it is! LOVE LOVE LOVE this entire card!
So sorry you can't see that vellum banner-- it really adds a soft touch:)
Here's another pic.... maybe this will show it better!?!?!

That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs, get inspired, and leave them some love

And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details!!!! This challenge ends March 1st. I cannot wait to see what you make!!!

Reverse Confetti February Color challenge (video)

Hello, friends:}

I've got a fun little video to share with you today! I used the RC February color challenge as my inspiration.
When I looked at  this color story, I actually was nervous! I wasn't sure what I was going to create! But the longer I looked at it and went through my RC stamps, I knew I had to make a nautical + masculine + CAS card! It just fit! :) **I state in my video... this project actually started as a scrapbook page! LOL!

For my card, I pulled out some old Echo Park and American Crafts papers and then I used my Tsukineko Memento Luxe Espresso Truffle ink for the dark gray. I added a bit of red using some Whisker Graphics Red divine twine. The stamp sets I used includes the Reverse Confetti Happy Harbor (one of my FAV sets) and Count Your Rainbows. I looooooove how this turned out! ***NOTE: There were lots of problems when recording this video- it always happens when I'm recording! LOL! This card looks easy but the video proves that I was having problems! LOL! I absolutely LOOOOOOOOOVE that stamped anchor on that vellum circle! LOVE LOVE LOVE
I used red metallic paper for the sentiment- it's hard to see in this photo.
Here's the video! Hope you enjoy, and I hope you will create some easy "bag wraps" for your next treat:}

Ribbon Carousel + Paper Smooches challenges

Hello, friends:}

**Please come back around 11am EST for some SUPER EXCITING news!!!!!! Or click HERE after 11am!

Have you played along with this month's Ribbon Carousel challenge yet??? The RCC is now doing monthly challenges with a huge prize at the end for one lucky player!!! This month's theme/challenge--- Washi Tape

I am combining challenges (GASP!!)!! I figured this is an easy challenge and so is the Paper Smooches SPARKS Anything Goes! PERFECT:)

You might be wondering where the washi tape is located on my card.... I used the We R Memory Keepers Washi Adhesive sheets for my "paper". I attached the washi tape to regular cardstock and cut my panels/etc. LOOOOOOVE! I also used some Recollections metallic orchid paper- beautiful! I die cut one of the PS Bookmarks and then trimmed it to a specific size that I like. I added some silver thread, and then added the die cut word (PS Birthday Words) at the bottom of my paper panels. I finished the card with a special sentiment from the Paper Smooches Happy Birthday stamp set and sequins from Pretty Pink Posh! LOOOOOVE how this turned out! **This card is for my Grandma- she is super special to me:) I think she will love it!
**Sorry the photos are not that great! I really need Trav to order me a NEW camera;) And I need photography lessons! LOL!
That's it for me today--but make sure you stop by the RCC blog for more details for this challenge and DT inspiration!!! And click HERE to link up your creation!
