Hello, friends:}
**Click HERE for my Ribbon Carousel challenge post.
I cannot believe I wrote down the time for this post incorrectly! I thought it went live TONIGHT at midnight! Either way--I'm so happy that I am a part of this blog hop!
I was invited by my good friend, Virginia, to create a get well card for trend editor for Paper Crafts, Cath. If you want to participate in this hop, click HERE. I've created a super simple card using some bandaid images {Unity} and some My Mind's Eye papers {that I have refused to cut into because they are my FAV!!}. SIMPLE!
I feel horrible that I didn't post this in time! Please forgive me, Virginia:) And I do hope you will join in the fun and send lots of love and cheer Cath's way! Link up HERE!
Thanks for stopping by! Many blessings:)

RCC38-Paper Piecing With Kim
Hello, friends:}
It's time for another Ribbon Carousel Challenge--Kim O'Connell has challenged us to use the paper-piecing technique somewhere on our creations! OHHHHHHHH! This was one of my favorite challenges-- I LOVE paper piecing!
Our sponsor this week is Birdie Brown {Torico}. Torico will give one random winner their choice of 3 Digi images from the Birdie Brown store!
Hello everyone! My name is Torico, the owner of Birdie Brown, and you may know me as an illustrator for There She Goes Clear Stamps. I'm a mom to two kids who live in Japan. I've loved doodling since I was a child, and have a passion for card making now! At my Etsy shop, Birdie Brown, I'm offering whimsical and cute (Japanese "kawaii") digital stamps created from my original illustrations. Speaking about card making, I love "simple & cute" design. So, most of my digital stamps are designed to match such a style. If you also like "simple & cute" style, you'll find something you have been wanting on Birdie Brown!!
The RCC DT were lucky enough to get a free image (THANK YOU, Birdie Brown)!!! I picked THIS little chef! So cute! I made a gift card holder card using some My Mind's Eye papers and my Birdie Brown image. LOOOOOOOOVE! I love love love that black seam binding {available HERE at The Ribbon Carousel}. I am addicted to this seam binding--I ordered a WHOLE spool!! LOVE x10! I think this card turned out super cute!
Money or a gift card can be placed behind the yellow panel.
I do wish I could have put the sentiment "Bon Appetit"...not enough room!
A close-up of the paper piecing. I even used a glaze pen on his mustache!
- Make your NEW creation following the ribbon carousel challenge (sketch, inspiration, style or color) image. Be sure to include some type of ribbon, twine, hemp, lace....basically, anything that comes on a spool.
- Your creation can be ANYTHING from cards, quilts, sewn items, paper crafts, paintings! ***Be sure to have ribbon, bakers twine, jute twine, lace, thread (basically anything that comes on a spool) on your creation! And be sure to follow the RCC challenge theme!
- Load your creation up onto your blog or a public viewing forum like SplitcoastStampers, (use the keyword RCC38) with a direct link back to The RCC blog post. Including the challenge graphic isn't a requirement, but sure is appreciated! A participant of our very first challenge didn't link back or mention our challenge and couldn't be named Top Spool, so don't let that happen to you!
- Come back to The RCC blog post and link in your creation using the Inlinkz button at the bottom of this post. Your image may take a little while to pop up but don't worry it will appear shortly.
- Be sure to come back the Friday after the challenge ends to see if YOU are a Top Spool! :D
This challenge will end on February 6th at 11:59pm EST.
I really hope you will play along! Please stop by the RCC blog for more details, more projects from the RCC DT, and to link up your creation!
Also, please head over to The Ribbon Carousel website and check out their products!!! If you haven't seen THIS post about the NEW ribbon carousels---you should head over there NOW!!! Can't wait to get one!! Only a couple more days!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

A bit of THANKFULNESS
I'm back with another Sweet Stamp Shop creation. It's my day over on the SSS blog--so be sure to stop by there and leave some love!
Can I just say-- I have THE most AMAZING family/friends!!!!! I am so thankful for all of you! THANKS for lifting me up with words of encouragement and for all the love and support you give me!!! THANK YOU!
And that is where I got my inspiration for my cards today. I wanted to say THANK YOU to two friends. I used some Authentique papers along with my Sweet Stamp Shop Scootin' By stamp set. I just love this first card since it's really simple and perfect for just about anyone!
And I even stamped the sentiment on the inside--WOW! I know! Decorating the inside comes next:)
And this second card--I just loooooooooove the paper piecing and design! I used the same Scootin' By set and patterned papers.That small heart next to the sentiment is from the SSS Hello Beautiful stamp set.
I also love the bit of distressed feel from the edges of the paper.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Be blessed:)

I've got another Paper Made Bakery Guest Designer project to share today--and I have a feeling that I might have more coming!! I used my PMB January kit {available HERE} to create two more cards. I also created a video tutorial on how to dye the seam binding ribbon that is in this kit.
I have a funny story about my first card. I created the video {linked below} and dyed my ribbon...after it dried I was going to use it on a card...so I designed this card and finished it thinking to myself, "This is SUPER cute! LOVE it!" Only to look at it again and smack my forehead---NO RIBBON! I still love this card though:) I love that die cut of the bird with the birds on a wire stamped in the negative spot {Sentimental Birds by Sweet Stamp Shop}. Everything on this card is from the January PMB kit- except those letters (which I found in my alpha drawer). LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Sorry for the pinkish tones in this photo!
For my second card (and the card featured in the video), I used the Authentique sketch challenge as my inspiration. I did change the sketch a bit--well, I didn't change it, I just made it my own! Again--everything from this card was in the PMB January kit. I LOOOOOOOOOVE this card too! I really do!
And here's the video that I created--I really like it! I didn't think of this technique....there are so many ways (and other videos) on how to dye ribbon on the web. I used the technique that was shared by a good friend, Lin. **Also, this technique worked really well with the ribbon in the PMB January kit! OHHH! I love it!
That's it for me today. Please make sure you stop by the PMB blog {HERE} and check them out on Facebook {HERE}. And check out PMB on their Twitter page!! Be sure to follow them there too! LOVE all these ways to stay in touch with this fabulous company!! Plus, HERE is a link to past kits that are on sale!! LOVE a good deal:)
That's it for me today! THANK YOU for stopping by! Don't forget to stop by the Paper Made Bakery blog and leave some love there:) Be blessed!
