PDCC35

Hello, friends:}

Today is a special day because another challenge is posted over at the Play Date Cafe....and it is one of my friend's birthday! Happy happy happy birthday to her:}

This week's color combo is super beautiful--red, orange, teal, and brown. Gorgeous! We have a fab Celebrity Guest Designer this week as well-- Lucy Abrams! WOW--she is so creative! So excited to have her join us this week.

For my card...I used lots of different scrap papers and pieced them together into a birthday themed card. I read on someone's blog about a month ago about puns and funny sayings. "Birthday Fishes" was one of them! I knew I had to remember that for this card! I love that fish paper on the top! I also love the fish stamp [Bella Blvd.]. The teal paper on the bottom is actually scored three times. It looks super cool! I loooooooooove this card:} It was quite simple to make--once I played around with the sketch a bit! I also wanted to glitter the word "fishes", but it just wasn't working out (I had to cut this out three times!). LOOOOVE it!
Be sure to stop by the other PDCC DT members' blogs....I can't believe how creative this team is! SOOOOOOOO talented:} And this week, Suzanne is our Challenge Host! Be sure to stop by her blog for pictures of her crafting studio!

3 challenges...one of my fav cards

Hello, friends:}

I just finished one of my FAVORITE cards....and it is for three challenges!! Love when that happens! I made this card based on Embellish Magazine's color combo and theme [baby], Caardvarks challenge [dry/wet embossing], and CardPatterns sketch.
I used my cuttlebug embossing tool for the baby carriage {on yellow paper--the second pic has a better view}. I also used my versamark embossing ink and powder for the butterflies {on peach paper}. The stamps are from Molly Stamps, Ippity [A Moment in Time], and Unity [Our Stories]. I love love love this card! Those metal frames are from Ryann--she gave them to me from her blog giveaway! THANKSRyann! LOOOOVE those little embroidery threads on the frames with the tiny butterflies. I know that the sketch had three things on each side of the center focal point--this is how I count that:: top left- 2 frames and 1 thread; bottom right- 1 frame with thread and 2 butterflies. I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE it!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I will be back tomorrow with some crafty goodness! Be sure to leave some love for your chance to win my June blog candy pack:} Thanks again for EVERYTHING!! I love sharing with you! Be blessed:}

H{ippity} Hop June 21

Hello, friends:}

It's time for another H{ippity} hop!

This card (below) was actually made last week...and I wanted to share it with you, but I knew that Trav would see it [funny story::: he did see it before he should have! AHHHH!]...remember the card to the left? Brief review:: it was a card for our neighbors who moved in a year ago. Well...the card below was for Trav. On June 9th we have owned our new house for a year! Funny story is that our neighbors (who received the card to the left) moved in the SAME day! So fun:) I just love the card I gave to Trav--it uses my fav stamps [Ippity-What Matters Most and Snippity of Ippity] and my fav colors! I love using glitter right now--so I am glitzing letters all the time! Love this card:}
I also love making journals, and the next project was super simple! I love the colors and the beautiful front cover. I know I didn't use many Ippity stamps [only the Seasons of Joy tag stamp]....but I wasn't sure it needed much--simple front!
I do have to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE the tag stamps by Ippity and Unity! I use them all the time! I just love cutting them out (only when I stay on the lines) and distressing them...super easy and fun!

That's it for me today. I am so sad that I didn't get to play around much in the studio this weekend (like planned)....but I will have lots lots lots more to share with you next week! So be sure to stop back by! And be sure check out all the other fabby creations--click HERE for a complete list! WOW--Ippity Chicks know how to craft!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Love when we get to visit--and I am so thankful for all your love and support;} I really enjoy reading your comments--makes me feel really special! THANK YOU! Be blessed!!

ps...don't forget that this month I'm giving away a stash of goodies! So you don't want to miss out on that! Be sure to leave some love on any of the posts from June 14-30. Double your chances SOON!

FWF {lots of pics}

Hello, friends:} And friends with FLAIR!

I'm super excited to share my creations with you today! This first one is for the Crop Suey #11 [use paint], All Things Unity [make a scrapbook page], Stamp Away With Me [color combo], and Who's That Girl #11 [proud moment] challenges. I have been keeping this guitar page for awhile...I wasn't sure what I wanted to use the DP for (like which project)...but as soon as I sat down to craft, I knew it had to be for this page! I used teal paint and smeared it in one area of the page. Then I splattered it (but most of that is covered up-eh). I used my Unity music background, Naturally you [grid paper], Our Stories tag, and ledger stamps. I really like how this turned out. I also used a new sticker [ruler at the bottom] from the candy that I won over on Ryann's blog--THANKSRyann!!! The ruler is from a Jenni Bowlin sticker sheet. Super cute:} LOOOOVE it!
Picture courtesy of Doug Bunnell, EHS Photo
Journaling:: I'm proud that you are using your gifts from God to bless others. I think you are super talented! Your music (words and notes) touch my heart:} I am proud that you and I get to praise God together! "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord." Psalm 150: 6

This next card was created for the FWF29 challenge. I don't have Unity's brave girl set, so I looked at the colors on our inspiration card by Debby [purple, gold] and the lace. I created a fairly simple card. I used my Unity Naturally You stamp set. The hardest part was stamping on the button. I love the effect though! I also glittered the hearts on the snail. I really like the 3D effect each mushroom/flower has. I popped them up with foam, but added lace, string, bows, and glossy accents to them. On the inside of the card, I used a sentiment {Just a bit SLOW.} from the Jan. KOTM by Unity.  I love this card;} **NOTE:: The snail was made for the Scrapbook & Cards Today challege [to make a button critter]. I'm not so sure it fits the description of the challenge...but I tried:}

These next two cards were made for the EAD first color challenge! What a beautiful color combo! I had some gray and plum ink/papers sitting around...so I started to play. This first card was made using Unity's Singing Souls stamps. Simple card to make--stamp images, stamp sentiment on plum paper, cut out, glitter hearts, fill in microphone stand with silver ink. Done. Fun:}
This next card is one of my favs! I love the papers used--esp. that rock paper. I used black twill ribbon and silver gem flourishes! I stamped with my Unity 100% Happy set, as well as the Our Stories set for the little 'me' word. That word came from the word 'memories' in that set--love masking stamps to get different images or words! I glittered the words for extra glitz! Love love love this card:}
This next card was created for the I Want To Ride My Bicycle Challenge In The Moxie Fab World.  Moxie Fab always has great challenges! I used my Unity August 09 and May 10 KOTM stamps for this book cover. I love the paper (American Crafts). If you look close--the red/burgundy color is metallic! And if you look closer the bottom is scored--how CUTE:} I don't know if you remember the books that I've been making (click here to read original post)...but this is for the year 2006. I love it--the "enjoy the ride" was stamped because this is the year Trav and I were married! So the ride would be our lives together. I thought it turned out nice--I've only got two more books to complete, and then we are all caught up!

This last card was created using the PDCC34 challenge colors- black/white with a splash of blue. I did add some gold and red--but I just couldn't leave the angle with a blue or white heart! I also made the angel's wings with transparency (one of my fav things to do!). I finally got the Unity May KOTM {THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, Angela!!!} and wanted to use this card for the challenge. I really like how it turned out!
That's all for me today. But be sure to stop by the Unity blog for a complete list of friends with flair! AND make sure you leave some love...you could win 25 FREE Unity stamps! HOOORAY!

Thanks so much for stopping by--love sharing with you all my Unity creations! LOOOOOOOOOOVE Unity! Be blessed:}

PDCC34 a splash of color

Hello, friends;}

It is my pleasure to bring to you today one of my FAV color challenges! I LOVE LOVE LOVE The Play Date Cafe challenges! This week we have a wonderful color splash combo! Our Celebrity Guest Designer is none other than Mandy from Limelight! HOOOORAY:} Limelight will also be our sponsor this week! Gotta love that--wish I could win! LOVE Limelight!! Mandy is offering our winner 2 bottles of the Shimmerz Vibez Miniz--Hot Fudge and Razzle Dazzle Berry! WOW
This week the challenge is white, black, and a splash of blue. What counts as a splash of blue? Just a hint of it...or just a dash of color...I know that is hard to measure a "splash" or "dash" [I know when I'm cooking...I'm confused with those terms!]. But all you have to do is just add a hint of blue on your card! How fun! I love working with all white...so my card was naturally made with border punches and white cardstock. I was inspired by using several border punches after another blog. I love this card--the butterfly {Lizzie Anne Design stamp from June KOTM} is 3D with a transparency that was glittered! LOOOOOVE it! That was my splash. I really wanted to put a sentiment on the card with black ink...but thought it might take away from the beauty of that "hint" of blue!
Be sure to stop by all the PDCC DTs' blogs! All I can say is TALENTED! And stop on by Lisa's blog because she is our Challenge Host this week. She will be sharing pictures of her crafting studio! Gotta love looking at other studios--gives me so many ideas:}

16 June 2010

wow--6 challenges in one card!

Hello, friends!
Super excited to share this card with you. I made it using 6 challenges::: Stampin' Royalty [masculine/father's day]; EtsyInspired Challenge [owl pic above from My ZoeTrope]; CardPatterns [sketch above]; CARDS [masculine/father's day]; Stampin' Sisters in Christ [masculine/father's day]; and Stamp Away With Me [color combo--ps...so sorry Dawn- I don't have any Wplus9 stamps...but hopefully soon!]. I didn't plan to have this many challenges together...I just love how it came together that way:}
This card was created using my Basic Grey Basic Kraft and Cosmo Cricket Joy Ride paper pads {available at Limelight}. I love that green textured paper--got that at Marshalls! The aqua/blue paper on the bottom is from American Crafts (only 14 cents at Michael's!). It is also pre-scored [not sure if you can see that]. Other supplies I used were EK Success punch, Lizzie Anne Design stamp from June KOTM, and a Cuttlebug die cut, along with distress inks. I made the owl by hand after seeing a baby onesie with a sewn owl with ribbon feathers. TOOO cute! I really like this card! Actually--I love love love it!

That's all for today...however, you should head over to my friend's blog--Julie's Open Window. It is Julie's first year blogaversary! HOOORAY! And she has an AMAZING giveaway going on! Tell her I sent you:}

H{ippity} Hop June 14

Hello, friends:}

I'm BACK! HOOOOORAY! It was super fun out in Los Angeles! I can't believe what Travis did to make our trip so special--all the planning and secret hints....soooooooooo FUN! I had a blast and will share details as soon as I make my scrapbook pages!!

I'm glad to be back though--and I've got a card to share with you today using my Ippity! LOOOOOOVE Ippity! This card was created for our neighbors--a year ago we both moved into our new homes. I wanted to celebrate with them by making them a "happy home" card. I used Ippity's What Matters Most and Devoted stamps. I also used my Snippity of Ippity set for the tag frame! I paper pieced the house and glittered my cricut letters. I LOVE it! **NOTE:: I know what you are thinking...."Sav loves that graph paper and green houses!". And YES I DO:} I do wish the word HAPPY showed up on the pic better--it is really pretty in person. EH!
I loved that card so much that I made this card for a new neighbor and friend. She moved in while we were gone and had an open house this Saturday. How fun:}

That's it for me today--it took all my energy to get out of bed today--I need a vacation from my vacation:} I  will be back with more tomorrow--so be sure to stop by! Also be sure to stop by Ippity for the complete blog hop list! WOW--great stuff out there! SOOOOOO creative!

Yep, you heard me right! Courtney is joining our team this week and sharing some of her crafty goodness with us:} And not only is she crafting with us...her company, Practicing Creativity, is our sponsor! HOOOORAY!!

My card this week was really simple to create--I used my Unity ledger stamp with aqua ink for the background...I love this ledger stamp! I used my new edger punch for the top--looks like I ripped it out of a notebook! LOVE it! I tied a raspberry ribbon around the center and stamped a Unity strawberry. The sentiment is also Unity [from the same kit as the strawberry, 100% Happy]. Simple and sweet!!
