Hello, friends:}

I am super super SUPER excited about the card I get to share with you today! I love love love it! I made it with my Grandma--she is my lucky charm:} This card is for Nina Brackett's sketch challenge. Super fun challenge! I used her Squigglefly Hooty Who images--just won this image over on Squigglefly!! I absolutely love this owl. **NOTE:: This is also a good card for Moxie Fab's paper piecing challenge!
Here are some pics of my Grandma and I making homemade noodles. Love how my Grandma teaches me how to cook/bake/sew. She says, "Just follow the directions!" Thanks for the advice, Grandma;} We actually used some of the noodles for a chicken noodle dinner--YUMMM!! I had two helpings!
Well...I better get back to visiting with Grandma before she leaves today. I hope to create more tonight! Thanks so much for stopping by! Wish you were here with Grandma and me! We would sit and visit and chit chat!! Until next time~

Stampin' Royalty challenge

Hello hello, friends:} I said it twice since this is my 2nd post for the day!!!
I created this CAS card for the Stampin' Royalty challenge. We were to use glitter on our card. I also had this design for my cousin, Kelly, who ordered several mother's day cards! This challenge and my sketch worked out perfect, I think! I love this card. That purple glitter is beautiful! I used Unity's Bevy of Butterflies stamp set and for the sentiment, I just printed it off on the computer. Simple simple!!
Well...grandma and I are off to bake homemade noodles! Wish me luck:)

Thanks for stopping by! Love when we visit!
Until next time~

EIC card

Hello, friends:}

I am SUPER excited to share this card with you. It is one of my FAVS! I made it for the EtsyInspired Challenge. We had to visit Ponder & Stitch! LOVE it! I even bought a bracelet [I make bracelets...but nothing like these!!!]. And because this was green...I had to use it as my inspiration. If you look at the second pic, there is a book. So I used green and text as my base for this card. I made the paper look just like the bracelet. I added the sentiment from Unity's Feb. KOTM and Martha Stewart bird. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!
LOVE it! Can't stop saying it!

Also--major news on my end! My first publication has hit the stands. Well...it isn't a "national" magazine, but anyone in the area can pick up the latest copy of Harbor Style and flip to pages 28 and 29 to see Jelly Bean Designs [my business]. So excited for my first publication! Three cards using Unity and Ippity were featured! You can see an internet copy HERE! HOOOORAY!

I have some exciting news to share later this week--so be sure to stop back by! I love when we visit! Until next time~

H{ippity} Hop

Hello, friends! Welcome to the H{ippity} Hop!!

This will be a quick post--my grandma is visiting from Indiana!!

My first card is my take on the IHHC16 challenge--to use chipboard on my card. I know what you are thinking, "Where is the chipboard!?" Well...the background/base of my card is the chipboard! I have included a before pic so you can see how I use it as the background. I love using these boards as my base--it makes a fun shape, and they are REALLY sturdy! I used my Ippity What Matters Most set for the house and sentiment. I also used Unity's Spring Unity for "welcome". I paper pieced each of the houses--wow! Love paper piecing! So this card fits nicely into the Moxie Fab challenge--Picking Up the Pieces. All the papers were from my scrap pile!! Soon, I won't have any scraps left:}
My next card uses a lot of Unity stamps....I know this is a Ippity hop....but I couldn't resist sharing this! I did use Ippity's Just Wanted to Say set for the sentiment--I use that set the MOST! Love it! I used Unity's Where You Are set by Donna Downey. I love those birds--kind of like male and female...plus I added feathers again! I love feathers! You can't really see them--they are white under the tails. This card is for the All Things Unity challenge. We were to use one of the following: the color green [check], scraps [check- everything was from my scrap paper], or something recycled [check--what is recycled?? The masking tape on my "tag"! I used old masking tape that I used for holding down a project to cut with a knife....super fun!!].
This is a must::: go check out the other Ippity creations HERE! And don't forget to leave some love

Also--my giveaway is ending soon~ be sure to read up on the past posts! You can leave comments on ALL of them!! Plus, there are two posts where your comments count DOUBLE! HOOORAY!

Squigglefly and Moxie Fab challenge

Hello, friends:}

Well...last night I could not sleep. I was up at 2am and stayed awake until 7am. EH--I didn't really get much done other than answering emails and sorting and organizing. I did manage to make one card. I wanted to try a Squigglefly challenge. I have several of Nina Brackett's awesome digi stamps...and this is one! Super cute. For the Squigglefly challenge, we had to use buttons--I used mini maroon buttons for the plants. I paper pieced everything [which fits into the Moxie Fab challenge]. I also used burlap as the roof--love that stuff!
For Moxie Fab's challenge--I thought I would feature some cards that I made that are paper pieced. I love doing it--it does take lots of time and sharp scissors...but the turn out is super pretty!
Stamped several times and then cut out--the flower

Stamped several times and then cut out- the bird and flowers

Well, I hope that you have a great weekend! So glad we got to visit today! Thanks so much for stopping by! Until next time~

challenge project

Hello, friends:}

I have a quick project to share with you today. I made it for a friend, Janet S. She wanted something to keep memorized verses in or together. And then I saw the cupcake challenge over at Hope Stamps Eternal, the color challenge over at the Color Throwdown, and this week's challenge at Pals Paper Arts. I knew this project would fit all three!
I used Nina Brackett's Squigglefly image for the butterflies. This image is one that I think I could use on just about any page, card, project. LOVE LOVE LOVE this butterfly. I printed it on transparency and then embossed it. I really wish the baby blue would have shown more--but I made the verse ["I have hidden your word in my heart so that I might not sin against you." Psalm 119:11] and tag too big on the front. Eh. I still like this project a ton! I have a similar index card notebook...only mine is not as pretty!

I am hoping to share more later! I have a Squigglefly challenge I would like to finish. So fingers crossed I have time to finish and share:}

THANKS so much--I am truly blessed by all your love and support! Thank you so much for visiting!
Until next time~

ps... don't forget about the PDCC challenge going on right now! Super fun colors!! Click HERE to see more deets!

FWF:}

Hello, friends!! And friends with FLAIR!!

Happy FRIDAY to you all and it's time to share some projects made with Unity:}

My first card was created for the FWF17 challenge. We were inspired by Beate's card. I used her shaped flower (scalloped circle) and square design. I really liked how they fit together. I also used my new Unity stamps [since I still don't have my March KOTM!!!] Rain and Flowers. **NOTE:: I got it from Limelight! Good deals going on over there! I love how this card turned out!

My second card was entered into the CARDS challenge--to use at least 8 colors. I really wanted to make a patchwork designed card...but I just ran out of time. I love this card--super cute with the button stamped with Versamark ink. The button stamps are from Unity's You're A Doll set. Love it!

This card was created for the Picture Perfect Creations color challenge. I also got an order from my cousin, Kelly S., for 25 mother's day cards!! WOW! So this card will be duplicated! I think it is super sweet! Love those metallic pink and purple papers with the yellow ribbon! And I had to add just a hint of green chalk for the stem--super cute!!! The stamp is from Unity's Feb. KOTM.

I also did some scrapbooking...I know! ME?? Scrapbook? Well--it took about three hours! This is my first page for me (never made one before just for me/Trav/our family). And I started with today--"at this moment" I feel...I have about three years worth of things to scrap, so I thought I would start with today:} Silly I know! I really like how it turned out. I used the Simple Scrapbook Challenge over on Latisha's blog for an inspiration sketch.  I used Unity's Favorite Things set and music background stamp. Ok--my printer is running out of ink...so I will reprint a sepia copy later. I just wanted to post this now--since the challenge ends soon! Just changed the pic--super cute! LOVE IT! Also...I know you can't read what the tag says up top-- 1 Peter 4:10 "Use your gift to serve others." Not bad for my first try...???

I need to clarify about this card set that I posted on Monday! I KNEW it was ZANY...but didn't know for sure, and Maren stopped by my blog to confirm--I was inspired by her card! THANKSMaren!! YOU ROCK:} I apologize for not remembering where I saw it....I just copied it real quick. Never again!!

That's it for me today--hopefully, I will have more to share tomorrow! Be sure to stop by all the other ladies' sites for FWF! Click HERE to see the entire list! LOTS of great stuff out there! Oh--be sure to leave some LOVE because you could win some Unity stamps!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I can't tell you how much it means to me--your comments always make me smile! LOVE when we visit:} Happy FRIDAY, and have a great weekend!!
Until next time~

Well, today another challenge starts for the PDCC! This is a beautiful color combo--I had several ideas for cards [which I'm hoping to put up later this weekend!]. Be sure to check out all the deets over at The Play Date Cafe home page. The challenge will end on Tuesday, March 24 at midnight EST. I hope you will join in the fun and play along with us!!!
For my card, I used my new Unity stamps that I got from Limelight! Great deals going on over there! I love how the tan/taupe makes the baby blue and cranberry (or dark red or maroon) pop! Great color combo:}

EBTKS and EIC challenge cards

Hello, friends:}

I made these cards last night. This first card is for the Everything But the Kitchen Sink challenge. We used this sketch as our inspiration. I had to think about this one...but I really LOVE the way the card turned out. I just received my new Unity stamps that I bought over at Limelight! LOVE them! I got "Where You Are". The bird is actually a solid stamp--but I wiped the ink off the middle so it would show the music background. I also split the sentiment up into three different sections--LOVE this card:) Super cute!

I also made this card the EtsyInspired Challenge. I love being inspired by products and pictures and color combos....I take everything literally too. These were some of my inspiration pieces from Designs by Cathy.  I wanted to make a stamped metal look with my silver paper--note to self: this paper does not take ink well. I got it everywhere! So I had to modify. I also thought my wing stamps (from Molly Stamps- sadly no longer in business) were bigger...so another modification. I love love love this little card--it is about 2x4 inches. ACK--talk about little;) Love it! I'm going to put it on top of my gifts for Candice's wedding (traveling to LV so no room for lots of gifts and cards). Not sure if you can see it--but I put more feathers under the wings. LOVE feathers!

Well...I'm still behind in crafting...so I better get to work:} Love when you stop by! Love sharing with you and your support! Thank you for EVERYTHING!!
Until next time~
Love, Sav
