Hello, friends!
I'm back, and I'm super excited to be sharing a couple of bible journaling pages using Technique Tuesday's stamps and dies! There's a special sale going on right now, so be sure to stop by the TT website for more details!
Did you know Easter is on April 1st this year? That is only 3 weeks away. Hop on over to the TT website and blog to see all the Easter and Christian themed clear stamps, crafting dies, and digital cut files. These products will help you get a jump start on goody bags from the Easter bunny, cards, a spring-themed tablescape, or Bible journaling about one of Christianity's most important holidays.
SALE begins Sunday, March 11 and goes until March 13th at midnight.
I went with a fun mixed media design for my page today. **Please note: this page does not use a stamp/die that is included in this sale. I designed this page when my friend, Aleesha, came to visit back in February. We looked up scriptures about the desert, how we can live in the desert with our grumbling/complaining (James MacDonald's book Lord, Change My Attitude Before It's Too Late **good book!), and many other topics/scriptures. We came across a devotional that talked about how even in the hard times [being in a desert] we still need to look for the blessings and give thanks. Reading that gave me a start to my page and I went from there!
The passage for this page is from Deuteronomy 8:2-6. The Israelites focus on the "prickly things of life" not even noticing or giving thanks for what God had done for them while in the desert. Unfortunately, I do that too (I've listed some of the things I find prickly currently in my life under that stamped sentiment).
After reading these verses, I'm reminded that I need to give thanks because there are blessings in the trials and deserts! And God is ALWAYS with me! That alone should be enough to get through whatever I'm going through! So look up, Sav!!! Look for the blessings and give thanks!
A couple of techniques I used include masking, mixing stamp sentiments, painting, fussy cutting, die cutting, layering, and using a non-faith/holiday stamp set for a bible journaling page. I have painted many times in my bible before but this time was a bit different because I used a regular pen on top of the paint instead of my IF pen. When I sprayed the page to protect it from smearing... I accidentally smeared my writing! 🤦🏼♀️
Good thing I had extra navy cardstock! I just rewrote everything and trimmed it to size to cover this mess up!
I hope that you will stop by and grab some of these Easter & faith stamps/dies for your next project and for the upcoming holiday! I will be sharing MORE using the TT Faith Opens the Door stamp set and Pray die tomorrow! These two sets are part of the sale 😁
That's it for me today! THANKS so much for stopping by and leaving some love!
Be blessed ❤️
