Paper Smooches SPARKS Anything Goes (wk5)

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week is another ANYTHING GOES challenge. EASIEST challenge EVER! ***We are keeping the 5th week an AG challenge:) HOOOOOOORAY! 

OH MY! I looooooooove my card this week! I love the papers (American Crafts Polka Dot Party) along with the simple design (inspired by the Inlaid Die Cutting lesson from the Clean & Simple Card Making 3). I LOOOOOOOVE this Silver Surfer paper by Chickaniddy Crafts! I used it to die cut the detailed PS Friend Word die!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE! ***And I'm not one to create a CAS card! AND I def. don't like it when I do! LOL! But I sure do love this card:) 

I used some Tsukineko Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black ink with sentiments from the Paper Smooches Many Thanks, Simply Said, and A Magical Spring sets. CAS--- love love love!

Chickaniddy: March Pinspration

Today I'm sharing a Chickaniddy project inspired by a picture on the Chickaniddy Pinterest board, plus using the fabulous Date Night collection! This project is for a post called Pinspration. 

I have to admit that there were lots of photos and pins on the Chickaniddy board that I was inspired by-- so many fabulous colors, designs, and ideas! I ended up using this photo as my inspiration. I really like the lace and solid color, as well as the diagonal design. 

I ended up flipping my design so the diagonal was in the lower left corner, and I made the solid the smaller piece for my card.  

Chickaniddy Supplies: Paper Plaid is Rad (DN140S12), Together Is Better (DN140S09), Downtown (DN140S03), polka dot from the bottom of Spiffy Tags (DN140S07); Stamps Date Night (DN14ST01); Stickers Date Night (DN14EB05); Brads Date Night (DN14EB06)

I really love how this card turned out-- my favorite part about this card would be the cluster of stickers, brads, embellishments, and the "masked" sentiment! I really enjoy masking my stamps to create my very own custom sentiment! LOVE!!!

Virtual Smooches: Trav Style (try2)

Today's my day to share a video over on the  Paper Smooches video blog- Virtual Smooches! 

So last week... I tried Trav's Style of cardmaking (due to running out of time).... well, this week I'm still in Israel and needed something quick again! So I'm trying Trav's Style again! LOL! 

Only this time... I broke the rules AFTER I received some clarification about Trav's Card Style! LOL! I guess he got me back because the day I recorded this video I had to get some tests completed... and he stuck me with a needle to draw blood! LOL! I guess I should learn my lesson and follow his "rules"!! LOL!

Paper Smooches SPARKS March Designer Drafts challenge

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week we are sharing a DESIGNER DRAFT challenge. 

This week we are inspired by the following sketch:

**Sentiments can be placed anywhere on the sketch.

Ok.... I can't apologize enough for NOT following the sketch closer! I have guess that I used 60% of this sketch! ACK! I can't give excuses--- but it's 4am as I write this post....so maybe it was because I was tired.... late because I ran out of time (this Israel trip really kicked this procrastinator's butt! LOL!), and maybe because I was a rebel and really struggled with this design! It could be any of those excuses:)

That being said... I loooooooooooove this card! I really do! I LOVE the papers which are by American Crafts Polka Dot Party (and the Dear Lizzy project life coordinating pack). I used just a few Paper Smooches stamps including Just a Note and the Geobasics sets. I also die cut using the PS Hearts and Hello Words dies! LOVE LOVE LOVE! I used a technique shared in the online Clean and Simple 3 class (Inlaid Die Cutting). LOVE! ***However, this is not a CAS card! LOL! Too much detail:)

Tsukineko: gold embossing powder, VersaMark watermark ink, Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black ink

Soooooo..... now that you've seen my card..... here's how I followed the sketch: 

1. I used a journal card that had 2 sections for the center panel.
2. I used the chevrons instead of banners... and I only used one row.
3. I used a camera and a brad with hemp cord as my 2 banners on the top. 

60%? Maybe less?!?!?! Either way-- I was inspired by this sketch! LOL!

Virtual Smooches: Trav's Card Style

Today's my day to share a video over on the  Paper Smooches video blog- Virtual Smooches! 

Today I'm sharing a quick start-to-finish card...and I mean QUICK! The reason it's so quick is because....

1. Trav and I are leaving for Israel in less than 24 hours! HOOOOORAY! 
2. I ran out of time!
3. I think it's time I try out Trav's style of cardmaking... this is the perfect time since he said in his interview that if I tried HIS style of crafting the video would be about 20 seconds! PERFECT! I need something quick:)

Reverse Confetti: VIDEO + March color challenge {post2}

I'm sharing a video today using some NEW Reverse Confetti stamps and dies! 

This card was inspired by the RC March Color Challenge {yellow, green, navy}. 


I created one of my FAVORITE cards for this challenge! I love it because of all the details.... I love the technique I used.... I LOVE LOVE LOVE the papers (esp the Chickaniddy one!).... and I LOOOOOOVE these new RC Carton Cuties stamps and dies and the Beautiful Banners dies! LOVE this card x10000000!

Sequins and pompom ribbon from Pretty Pink Posh

The technique I share in this video is how to create a stencil using RC dies. I love this idea-- I've actually been thinking about doing this for about four months! LOL! LOVE! I also created my very FIRST embossing paste design for this card!!! I love this embossing paste!

Paper Smooches SPARKS Anything Goes (wk3) {post1}

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! Another Anything Goes challenge starts today!   

That's right--you get to create ANYTHING you want (as long as you use Paper Smooches stamps)!! This is the BEST challenge ever!!! 

So yesterday on the Imagine Crafts blog, I shared this card. I loooooove the NEW irRESISTible sprays and Vertigo film. You can check out the video HERE! 

I used some Basic Grey papers and May Arts ribbon.... and the Paper Smooches Royal Cuteness, Streamers, and Digits stamp sets along with the Streamers and Royal Icons dies. 

I was soooooooo in looooooooove with this little frog that I CASED my entire card and then added more frogs! LOL! I LOVE LOVE LOVE how cute they are! Esp their little spots! And I love how each frog is a different shade of green (not a huge difference, but just enough to make a difference!)!!!!
