Some fun...

Hello, friends:}

Nov. 11 Trav and I celebrated 4 years of LOVE! We were in Vegas and went to see a Cirque show, and the night before Trav's parents took us to our favorite Cirque show, KA. LOVED it. We had a great time. Now, my family lives in Indiana--kind of far to celebrate, but that didn't stop my mom or dad! My dad actually met Trav and I near the airport in Tampa {he flies all around--and he was in Tampa right before we left for Vegas}. 

Mom sent me a message that dad was going to bring me some goodies. I was thinking small stuff--but no! She sent some fabulous baskets to use for my craft room and craft fairs! LOVE them! She also sent me a Vera Bradly bag--LOOOOOOOOVE it! And she sent me this card...I knew as soon as I started opening it that she had gotten me again! **NOTE:: Is that correct grammar?? Either way--she GOT ME! She ordered three anniversary cards awhile back. Some for my brothers and a family friend. I made this card specifically for my brother and his wife. I LOVED it--love those gems and the papers and the colors....LUSH! Well--she actually sent it to us! LOVED opening it up and seeing my own creation as a gift! Makes me cry every time! LOVE it:} THANKS, Mom and Dad! 

Mom also sent me some pics drawn by my nieces and nephews. Precious--check these out! 

 

Not sure if they were trying to draw my face...but I think it looks pretty good;} 

And speaking of my nieces and nephews--today is Alli's FIRST birthday! Happy birthday precious Alli!! Here is her card that I made her. And since it is her birthday--I'm adding some more chances to win on my giveaway! Click over HERE for more details

H{ippity} Hop and lots of info

Hello, friends:}


Today is a another fun day over at the Ippity site! Happy H{ippity} Hop! I am so glad that I had a chance to play along with all the Ippity gals and the Ippity challenge this week!


I made two ornaments for the IHHC51. I never really think about making ornaments--probably because for the past 4 years that I've been married, Trav and I [scratch that--it's just him] has put up the tree once?! I really enjoyed making these little ornaments! For the first one, I used Ippity's What Matters Most set for the houses. I also used Ippity's House A Home set for the sentiment. I wanted to make this scalloped oval ornament to represent our neighborhood this year [and I even thought about making them for our neighbors!]. I love that liquid applique. SO fun! I know it doesn't snow in FL--but I had to add it to the project:} The second ornament was created using Ippity's Seasons of Joy set. Trav really likes this one--I think he likes all that glitter!!

 **NOTE:: So sorry for the horrible pics--I did this outside...but it was way too bright. Better pics are coming!

Now on to my card...I was inspired by this fabulous set of magnets. I looooove that orange/yellow/red background--so I made one on my card using distress and dew drop inks. Then I used my Perfect Pearls and mini mister to spray over it. LOOOOOOOOVE how it turned out! I also used my Unity Oct. 2010 KOTM for the clouds background and then my Ippity Quotes A'la Happy set for the sentiment. LOVE LOVE LOVE it:}

Black FWF

Hello, friends:}


HAPPY Black Friday:} While everyone is just getting up, I'm still up from yesterday--I had a great time celebrating Thanksgiving with Trav and his family. MMMMMMMMMMM--leftovers today:}

I'm sorry I only have one card to share today--I made it for the FWF52 challenge. We were to look at Joslyn's friendship card {pic to left} for inspiration. I pulled the yellow colors from her card, as well as the idea of something sticking off the side. I looooooove this new Cosmo Cricket paper--Circa 1934. I really like how it makes this card look elegant yet shabby/vintage almost (does that make sense?!). I also love my UNITY stamps--I used my July KOTM sentiment for this card. The ribbon was a beautiful gift from my friend, Sue. LOVE how that brad and red ribbon pop on the striped ribbon!! LOVE this entire card:}

Happy THANKSGIVING to all my US friends/readers! 


I love love love love LOVE Thanksgiving--I have so much to be thankful for! Most of all, I'm thankful for my savior and for His love for me. I can't live a day without Him! I'm also thankful for Travis, my family, and my friends--you all make me smile! I'm truly blessed! Of course, I'm thankful for my gift of crafting--I love sharing it! I have more that I'm thankful for--cars, house, jobs, electricity, toilets, food, Olsen, cell phones, technology (even if I can't seem to understand it sometimes)....just everything! I do take most of these things (and even more) for granted--it's my goal to be more verbal about my gratitude. I made a card for you--inside it says "I YAM thankful for you!" I YAM!!!

I also love to day because we have another Play Date Cafe color challenge to share. What a fabulous color story picked by our leader, Sarah. OHHH--love this picture! The colors are brown, grey, and silver. Beautiful combo!

LOVE all of them:} The PDCC DT were sent some stamps to play with {THANKS, Stamp Attack!}, and I used my set to create this lovely tag. I used both light and dark brown/grey. I wanted to have the three butterflies pop--so I embossed them in silver and used foam dots for the 3D look. 

 The ink in the center is DARK brown--although, it looks burgundy in the pics.
