Paper Smooches SPARKS March Cool Shades challenge {post1}

Hello, friends:}

**After 9amEST--please click HERE or scroll up/down for my Mama Elephant highlight post!

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! The third week of the month is always a Cool Shades challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following color story "Fiesta" {which by the way is my favorite car ever-- my first car was an '89 Ford Festiva that I often called the Fiesta! LOL! And now they have a new version out- -LOVE IT!}:
Tangerine, Dark Orange, Lime, Lemon

I couldn't help myself for my creation-- when I see oranges and greens together, I instantly want to make a carrot card:) My friend Ashley knows that this is my FAV sentiment too! I also pulled out my best inner-Teri Anderson. I said, "What would Teri do?" I wanted to make a modern card with some embellishments.... I don't think I matched Teri's style (she is WAY CUTER than me! I don't know how she does it-- I want her talent!) but I think I channeled a bit of her creativity into it:)

I used some Simple Stories and My Mind's Eye papers for this card. I also used my new favorite cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper. I paired several stamps from the Paper Smooches  Vegtastic, Giddy Bugs, and Smoocheroos to create the sentiment, as well as the PS  die Alphawhimsy. Super fun! **NOTE:: I also used the Pint-Pint-Pint-Dash balance for these colors! LOL! I used just a tiny bit of each and a dash of the dark orange.
That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love

And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details!!!! This challenge ends March 24th. I cannot wait to see what you make--I just LOOOOOVE my Paper Smooches stamps.

THANKS so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

Now you might be asking yourself, "That sentiment isn't part of this ME stamp set?!" I masked several of the sentiments from this set to create this card--masking is one of my FAVorite things to do:)

Another Paper Smooches SPARKS Oct. Picture Perfect card

Hello, friends:}

I'm sharing another Paper Smooches SPARKS October Picture Perfect challenge creation.

This week we are inspired by the following picture {left}. Click HERE to see my first card. For my second card, I used the colors as my inspiration. I wanted to make a simple masculine card that Trav could send out to one of his friends.

I used some My Mind's Eye A Mother's Love paper for the background, along with some Bazzill Basics cardstock {available HERE from the RC}. I masked and stamped images from my Paper Smooches Green Acres, Word Salad, Hot Concoctions, and He Said She Said stamp sets.
That's it for me today. Don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details. This challenge ends November 4th!!! I just got three new Paper Smooches stamp sets in the mail the other day--I cannot wait to ink them up:)

Mama Elephant Basic Borders

Hello, friends:}

Today the Mama Elephant design team is taking a closer look at the Basic Borders stamp set. Be sure to stop by the ME blog for more details inspiration!!!

 I created two cards using this set--the first one is very modern and def. not my style! I stepped out of my comfort zone to create this card. I used some
Basic Bazzill cardstock {available HERE from the RC}} and stamped the polka dots from the ME Basic Borders stamp set. I created an image by using a glue pen {also available HERE from the RC} and glitter. I added some Whisker Graphics twine for the leaves. Easy card!
You could use this technique of creating an image with polka dots for Thanksgiving (using a leaf, pumpkin) or Christmas (using a tree, present, Santa hat, etc.)!! So many options:)
For my second creation, I used some kraft bitty bags from Whisker Graphics for a gift card holder. I stamped the angled image from the ME Basic Borders stamp set on the right side. I added a sentiment to a WG tag and paper pieced the penguin from the ME Polar Pals stamp set. Also very very easy!! LOVE this gift card holder.
If you look closely, the penguin's scarf was stamped with the polka dots from the ME Basic Borders stamp set!!
That's it for me today. Be sure to stop by all of the ME DTs' blogs and the ME blog for more inspiration and details.

FUN!  I've made a very CAS card and it's even ONE LAYER (well, except for that popped up camera image). LOOOOOOOVE x10! That little heart is also from this stamp set--I've masked the smallest camera image to create it.

Paper Smooches SPARKS September Trend Watch

Hello, friends:}
Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! The first week of the month is always a TRENDS WATCH challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following photo:
I have to be honest--I do not know how to create anything RETRO! I'm not sure if it's the name "retro" or the fact that I can't define it:) I think my card turned out super cute though! I used only ONE Paper Smooches stamp set {Boob Tubes}. I also used some of my new favorite Bazzill Basics cardstock {available HERE at the Ribbon Carousel}. The black dots are Momenta's Bubbles and Bling. Retro??? LOVE it either way:)
I used foam tape to make the TV pop--love those bright colors:)

That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love
