Reverse Confetti: SFYTT14

Hello, friends:}

I'm joining in the fun with the Reverse Confetti team today! Be sure to stop by the RC blog for more inspiration and details!

We are using the SFYTT#14 as our inspiration. I just love the simplicity of this sketch and used that as my inspiration for a CAS design for my card:) ***I'm thinking CAS is more of my style now-a-days! LOL! ***ANNNNNNNNND hold on to your seat--- I've actually followed this sketch 100%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First time in a LOOOOOOOOOOONG TIME! LOL!

I used some Echo Park Splendid Sunshine papers for my cardbase-- and I added a bit of Scotch Neon Pink washi tape for added interest to that side panel. I pulled out some of my "old" chipboard pieces and found this SUPER fun typewriter from the Dear Lizzy/American Crafts collections. I thought it matched the dictionary paper and would really go well with the RC Quirky Cuties Rocky Raccoon sentiment. LOOOOOOOVE! I finished the card by coloring some vellum with my Tsukineko Memento Angel Pink ink and die cutting hearts from the RC Love Note confetti cuts. LOVE LOVE LOVE :)
That's it for me today! Be sure to stop by the Reverse Confetti blog for more inspiration and challenge details for this month's SFYTT

And mark your calendars!!!!!! Every month on the 16th, the Reverse Confetti will also have a color story challenge!! I hope you will join in the fun with both RC challenges:) And stop by the RC Facebook page and "like" us!!

Thanks for stopping by! Be blessed:}

Hello, friends:}
Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week is another ANYTHING GOES challenge. EASIEST challenge EVER!
I created a very CAS card using some journaling cards by We R Memory Keepers- I'm finding that I turn to these journaling cards when I need a card FAST! LOL!

I die cut the Paper Smooches Word Bubble from vellum and a heart from the Hearts dies and stapled them on top of the journaling card. Then I gold embossed a sentiment from the PS Scripty Sayings stamp set using my FAVORITE Imagine Crafts gold embossing powder. I finished my card using my Wink of Stella glitter pen on the word LOVE. EASY SMEASY! ***Trav said he would like to get this card sometime in the future! LOL! TOOO cute:)

Paper Smooches SPARKS Feb. Picture Perfect challenge

Hello, friends:}
Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week is a Picture Perfect challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following picture:

So I was inspired by soooooo much from this photo--- I mean look at that heart! Geometric designs and triangles.... the gold... the pinks.... a large heart.... LOVE it all!

But I went a different route for my card. I used some gold foiled heart papers (Recollections) as my main design. Then I stamped some sentiments from the Paper Smooches Group Hugs and Pretty Phrases stamp sets onto a vellum banner created using the PS Flag Tag die set. I also used the PS die set Always & Forever. I finished off my card with some string, a key, and a brad.... oh, and a mini staple! LOL! LOOOOOOOVE how this turned out:)
Now you can see the gold foil hearts-- OHHHHHH! I just love this card!

That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love

And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details. This challenge ends February 15th. I cannot wait to see what you make--I actually can't wait to see what you are inspired by in this photo!!

Paper Smooches SPARKS July Picture Perfect challenge

Hello, friends:}
Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! The fourth week of the month is always a Picture Perfect challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following picture:

I was thinking of doing a sunset design with inks and a black silhouette... but then I was inspired by a combo of neon and vellum. I decided to use the "sun" as my inspiration for the background with the "silhouette" being the sentiment. I love how this card turned out-- I have to admit that it took two tries because I messed up the sentiment on the vellum the first time. I'll have to see if I can use it for another creation later!

This card is super simple and uses just a few items: neon papers, vellum, and the Paper Smooches Thanks Word, Power Rays, and Hot Spots SM1 dies, along with the PS Eco Friendly stamp set.
Not sure if you can see it but the rays come off the card on the right side-- love that design effect with vellum!

That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love

And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details. This challenge ends July 28th. I cannot wait to see what you make--I actually can't wait to see what you are inspired by in this photo!!

THANKS so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

Paper Smooches SPARKS July Cool Shades challenge {post1}

Hello, friends:}

**After 9am EST--please click HERE or scroll up/down for my Mama Elephant July Stampede post! **Giveaway details at bottom of that post.

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! The third week of the month is always a Cool Shades challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following color story "Celebration"
Grey, Navy, Red, Cream/White

I used white for my fourth color.... and I was also inspired by THIS image on Pinterest. It has been floating around the web for at least a month, and I knew as soon as I saw it that I wanted to use it for my card today!

I used some of my FAVORITE patterned paper from the Crate Paper Paper Hearts collection. I am also SUPER sad because I accidentally cut the patterned paper too small... so now I'm out of it! BOOOOOOOO:(

I used several Paper Smooches stamp sets including Crystal Clear, Streamers, and Circle of Honor. I also used some PS coordinating dies from the Streamers and Crystal Clear1 dies, as well as the Hot Spot Small1 die set for the stars. LOVE LOVE LOVE how this turned out! I added some Whisker Graphics Black Licorice divine twine to the blue jar. PERFECT! And you guessed it-- that's VELLUM!!! I used some of my tips and tricks from THIS Virtual Smooches video to attach the vellum to my project. LOVE
That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love

And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details!!!! This challenge ends July 21st. I cannot wait to see what you make--I just LOOOOOVE my Paper Smooches stamps SO MUCH!
