Reverse Confetti- SFYTT#6

Hello, friends:}

Last week over on the Reverse Confetti blog you will find the NEW Sketch For You To Try challenge. Be sure to stop by the RC blog for more inspiration and details!

Like always- I kind of changed this sketch! I didn't use a long rectangle.... I used twine in that spot. And I layered more than one medium sized square in the center, and I used a colored clip as the circle. I think these changes make this card AMAZING:) I do love it!

I have a stack of paper pads on my desk and to get started on this card... I literally just picked on pad and started cutting! I love the end result:) The papers are from the Pebbles Seen & Noted collection. LOVE! I used a sentiment from the Reverse Confetti Count Your Rainbow stamp set. I added some Imaginisce iRocks and Whisker Graphics Black Licorice divine twine. I looooooooove this card:)
That's it for me today! Be sure to stop by the Reverse Confetti blog for more inspiration and challenge details! **This sketch is open for 2 weeks-- from November 1 to the 14th. Yesterday over on the Reverse Confetti blog you will find the NEW Sketch For You To Try challenge. Be sure to stop by the RC blog for more inspiration and details!

As you might have guessed... I made this sketch my own! Typical Sav

So for this sketch, I made that double layer my background piece-- kind of:) I used some Studio Calico papers and journaling cards for this card design. I paired these papers with the RC Celebrate Cake stamp set-- PERFECT! Then I added chevrons from the RC Arrows 'n Elements set as the small rectangle in the sketch. I love how this card turned out! I LOOOOOOOOVE the inked/distressed edges with the modern look! FUN x100000! This is also a GREAT card for the Birthday Card Challenge in the Moxie Fab World!!!
You can tell that the center panel is a glossy journaling card in this photo-- and the top grid paper is actually packaging! LOVE

I have to say that this might be my NEW favorite FAV FAV FAV card! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I love anything with chevrons and arrows...and these sentiments can be mix and matched for just about any card design! LOVE!

I created my card using some Studio Calico Snippets papers along with several different ink pads. This is 92% one layered-- I did add some Imaginisce dots using my iRock tool, and the heart is popped up on foam. But other than that... this is one layer all the way! LOOOOOVE! I think I might be mastering this CAS or CAKS style!!!
I looooooooove that bottom stamping-- I cut my stamp apart and then inked up the sentiment and stamped it three times in a row. LOVE!

I am in LOVE LOVE LOVE with the NEW WG products- be sure to check out the store for NEW bitty bag designs, twine colors (solid), and even NEW petite stickers! FUN!

Now if you are a follower of my blog, you know... I LOVE my WG bitty bags  And this new shield kraft middy bitty bag  was PERFECT for an upcoming surprise trip with my husband and my niece and nephew! My brother and his family are coming to visit at the end of July. I wanted to give my brother and sister-in-law a break from the kids for a day, so Trav and I are taking the kids to..... I CAN'T TELL YOU! They might be reading this post;) There are lots of fun places to visit in Florida-- like Lego Land, Disneyland, aquariums... and MORE:)

I designed a very CAS and one-layer (well, kind of) design for my "Epic Adventure" surprise bag. I used several Mama Elephant stamp sets including Geotagged, Wanderlust, and Central Park. I also used the Imaginisce iRock tool to add some bling. Then I tied some WG red solid divine twine around my top embellishment to finish off the bag! LOVE
I'm going to put the tickets and information on those papers inside the bag-- I can't wait to tell them where we are going!!!!!!!
That's it for me today! And be sure to stop by the Whisker Graphics blog for more inspiration. And stop by their shop too!! I def. need to go shopping--- I know I say this every month.... but it's true----I need MORE bitty bags:) LOL!

RCC#81: Celebrations {post1}

Hello, friends:}

**After 9am--please click HERE or scroll up/down for my Mama Elephant highlight post.
Have you played along with this month's Ribbon Carousel challenge yet??? The RCC is now doing monthly challenges with a huge prize at the end for one lucky player!!! The prize::: a ribbon carousel!!!!!! This month's theme/challenge--- Celebrations

I have been wanting to create a birthday card with this sentiment on it for about six months! I used some old Cosmo Cricket 2wenty-thr3e papers along with some grey vintage seam binding-- I actually wrapped it around the card and tied a bow (but the center panel hides it). I made that brad using the Imaginisce iTop and then stamped the sentiment using several Paper Smooches stamp sets {including Digits, Christmas Sampler, Warm Hearts, Birthday Buddies, Chit Chat, and Perky Plants}. I love love love how it turned out! And I actually played along with a sketch challenge-- or kind of:) I used the Seize the Birthday sketch as my inspiration. **I know that I moved the two circles together and the center panel over... I did a loose interpretation of this sketch:)
That's it for me today--but make sure you stop by the RCC blog for more details for this challenge and DT inspiration!!! And click HERE to link up your creation!

Today the Mama Elephant design team is taking a closer look at the Modern Borders stamp set. Be sure to stop by the ME blog for more details and inspiration!!!

I have to say that background stamps really stump me-- I never know what to do with them! However, I saw THIS embroidered piece on Pinterest and knew I had to recreate it using that ME crosshatch chevron stamp!  I added some flowers and gems (Imagainisce/iRock) along with some gold floss holding a tag that was stamped using the ME Rustic Spring {sentiment} and Type It {birdie} sets. LOVE how this turned out! The papers {My Mind's Eye} along with these ME images make this card vintage/shabby/chic....I think:) LOVE
That's it for me today. Be sure to stop by all of the ME DTs' blogs and the ME blog for more inspiration and details. **New ME Stamps are available NOW!!!
