my FAV scrapbook page...

Hello, friends:}

I have a scrapbook page to share with you today--I know you might have seen this design on my blog before as a card [HERE]...but this card actually was a scrapbook page first. The story::: As soon as Trav and I got married, I knew I wanted to make this page. I just didn't have time. Fast forward three years and I made this card for the CARDS challenge (make a tree). Fast forward a couple of months, I finally get to make this page because the Stampin' Royalty challenge is "family theme". I was super excited that this page is completed. I love it. I know it looks plain...but that is what I like- you focus on the family! I did stamp "love grows" which is from Unity's Love Grows stamp set. Simple and fun! I love it:}

Oh yeah--if you don't remember the story about Baby Xerxes--you can read about it HERE

Thanks so much for stopping by--I am hoping to get more cards done for tomorrow. I have so many ideas and not enough time!! I hope that you are doing well--thank you so much for all your love and support! Be blessed:}

Scrapbook page...

Hello friends:}

I wanted to share with you this easy scrapbook page that I made...it is for the Stampin' Royalty #18 challenge- anything but a card.
I found this pic of the plate on Lucy's Etsy store MeOldChina. LOOOOOVE all the products this store has! Super fun! And it matched my "food snobs" theme--I wanted a simple LO. I went for the picture... striped journaling...and Making Memories alphabet letters. Easy! Because my journaling is on strips of paper-I can link to Scrapbook Trends Blog! They just featured journaling strips the other day:}

Journaling:: I don't like mushrooms, onions, peppers...or the last part of milk. I tend to pick at my food if I don't know what it is...You on the other hand need a 7 course meal for dinner-homemade too...a fresh sandwich for lunch [it cannot be a heavy meal] and absolutely NO leftovers...I guess this makes us both FOOD SNOBS.

To double your chances for my May giveaway-- 1) leave a comment here about my page 2) go visit Lucy's Etsy store, MeOldChina, or blog, The Bower Bird, and come back here and tell me what you liked! Also leave her some love too!

I'll be back later with more....I hope you are doing well today! Thanks so much for visiting! Be blessed:}
Until next time~
Love, Sav

Squigglefly/Stampin' Royalty challenges...

Hello, friends:}

I promised yesterday that I would share some Nina Brackett goodness today--and here are two projects using her Digital stamps from Squigglefly, as well as her new Vintage Background stamps and Bright and Grungy digital paper.

My first project is actually a bookmark. Squigglefly has a bookmark challenge going on right now--and this fits right in with the Stampin' Royalty challenge [anything but a card]. I used Nina's Squigglefly Hooty Who images. LOOOOVE this owl! I made the bookmark for a young boy who needs to keep reading over the summer. Three books this summer isn't too bad:} I paper pieced each leaf and branch. I attached the owl to a paper clip so he could move the owl up when he was finished with each book. This bookmark could also be used over and over--as a teacher, I had to "bribe" my students to read...so maybe challenge a kid to read three books a month and then three a week...endless possibilities!

This card is one of my favs! I actually didn't think of it--I saw a card by Vanessa Menhorn on page 41 in my new Paper Crafts mag. I knew as soon as I saw her flower that I could use Nina's digital Fancy Flower (printed right on the Bright and Grungy and transparency), as well as the text Vintage Background stamp for this card. **NOTE:: I try not to copy cards that I see...but this one was too beautiful not to! I had the same thicker letter stickers and similar paper...I just had to! LOVE this card, Vanessa! Thanks for inspiring me:}
It looks so similar to Vanessa's....I LOVE it!
Well, that is it for me today...I have lots more to create...and a bit of shopping to do [for groceries--nothing fun today!]. Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to stop back tomorrow--I've got a special gift to share with you...and possibly some cards! Be blessed:}
Until next time~

Nina Brackett and SR#16 challenge

Hello, friends:}

I just couldn't help but make another card using Nina Brackett's Vintage Background stamps! They are available HERE!! I used the Stampin' Royalty sketch and Nina's challenge for my inspiration. I did move my embellishment up on the page and my bow on the side--but I love this card. Super fun colors and AWESOME stamps:) **NOTE:: I also used Nina's Lovely Shelf stamp set.

ETA::: I had to add one more card for the Stampin' Royalty challenge. I used Nina's background stamps again! LOVE them! I also think this card is good for the Caardvarks monochromatic challenge.

I am hoping to have more to share tomorrow...so be sure to stop back by! Thanks so much for the quick visit--hope you are having a great day! Be blessed:}
Until next time~
Love, Sav
