RAKs from fabulous friends:)

Hello, friends:)


I am overwhelmed by the RAK that I've received!! Most of the cards that I received were for my birthday--and I just cannot thank my friends enough for going out of there way to bless me! 


First up is a card by Cathy M. She is on the ATU team with me--she is sooooooo amazing! LOVE that rocking chair! Very vintage--fab! Hope she wasn't saying that I'm vintage! LOL!

Next, I received this super cute card by Jackie H. She is a friend that crafts with me in my studio. Her card is completely made by her!! I did tell her that we have to work on sentiments--not nice, Jackie:) You'll be my age one of these days! LOL!

Then I received this fabulous card by Kim Kesti--I KNOW! I got a handmade card by Kim!! LOVE it:)

I also received a card from Megan Hoeppner. OH MY! Love her blog too! What a fabulous idea to use up several thickers/alphas! 

My neighbor, Barbara, sent me this beautiful tea cup card--I gave her a tea cup bird feeder for her birthday. So this card is perfect as a TU:} LOVE!

What a surprise it was to find this elegant birthday card in my mailbox--it's from my good friend, Colleen D. She is on the PDCC team with me! LOVE LOVE LOVE that striped paper--not sure you can see how it shines! And the ric rac! OH! LOVE:)

Then I received a huge package from my good friend, Ruby 2 Shoes and her daughter, Tinks! Ruby is on the PDCC team with me as well. And her package was def. unexpected! They sent me some cards and notes, along with a cupcake die, cupcake recipe book, a bookmark, and so many goodies! LOVE LOVE LOVE all the cupcakes! 

This is a note from Tinks--it even had cupcakes on it! LOVE!

My friends, The Ammerman family, gave me a super fun birthday gift, which included a handmade card by their son, Christopher, and a SHOE bag! They know I love love love shoes--esp. heels! Too funny!

**NOTE:: I didn't even notice until now that my font didn't have an apostrophe on their name! OY! 

I'm still going--SO BLESSED to have received all these cards/goodies!!!


Tracey K. {another good friend from the PDCC} sent me this GOOOORGEOUS card! OH MY! I love the papers and the stitching! And that flower--Fab! 

I had another small package with two beautiful cards created by Andrea M. Oh--what a surprise these were! I love how my birthday card is modern and stitched--look at those lines! SOOOO clever! 

And I love this friendship card by Andrea--those colors are just GORGEOUS together--that seam binding makes me drool! LOVE LOVE LOVE! 

And last but not least, I bought myself a birthday bracelet from my friend's blog/website- Vintage Glam. OH MY! These bracelets are SOOOOOO gorgeous--and I cannot wait to save up more money to get more colors! I wasn't expecting anything but my order--and when I opened up my package--Eryn (the owner and a fabulous friend) had the most amazing package for me. It included a fabric flower wrap with my bracelet and this little necklace as a surprise gift! Made me tear up--I was overwhelmed by the message and how perfect it was for me! Eryn is soooo amazing and super talented and so sweet to send that to me:) LOVE it!

I cannot say THANK YOU enough--I am super blessed and so thankful for all my friends and followers! I had over 400 messages for my birthday, and I have to say that it def. made turning 30 AMAZING! LOOOOOOOVE all of you:)

RCC15 Get Edgy with Jessica Diedrich

If you have not been to The Ribbon Carousel Challenge--head over there NOW!! We are starting a brand new challenge today!

For one lucky participant in this week's challenge The Greeting Farm is giving away a 4x6 stamp set of YOUR CHOICE!! So get your edgy on!  Your creation can be anything from cards, quilts, sewn items, paper crafts, paintings, anything will work!

The Greeting Farm was kind enough to supply our Crew with some awesomely “EDGY” images. I received Ballet Anya. Super cute! I used my image and made a small gift card holder or small tag card. I used some Celery V Striped Twill ribbon along with some Cotton Candy Divine Twine {Available HERE at The Ribbon Carousel shop}. 

I love her little dress--and if you look closely, I made the edge of her dress torn. I wanted to make it look like it was tulle--so I tore the vellum {which I colored with pink ink}. 

The RCC team would love for you to join in the fun this week! Here are the details:

• Make your creation following the ribbon carousel challenge (sketch, inspiration, style or color) image. Be sure to include some type of ribbon, twine, hemp, lace....basically, anything that comes on a spool.
• Load your creation up onto your blog or a public viewing forum like SplitcoastStampers, (use the keyword RCC15) with a direct link back to The RCC blog post. Including the challenge graphic isn't a requirement, but sure is appreciated! A participant of our very first challenge didn't link back or mention our challenge and couldn't be named Top Spool, so don't let that happen to you!
• Come back to The RCC blog post and link in your creation using the Inlinkz button at the bottom of this post. Your image may take a little while to pop up but don't worry it will appear shortly.
• Be sure to come back the Friday after the challenge ends to see if YOU are a Top Spool! :D

More clouds and twine...

Hello, friends:}


I just love my friends! And the other day--when it was "raining", Jessica helped me and cheered me up! I wanted to use the following quote on a card (given to me by Jessica): Tears are our way of wiping our eyes and seeing things more clearly. LOOOOOOOVE it! Unfortunately, I didn't have a stamp with that quote....so I broke out my Avocado Arts June's kit "Sunshine & Smiles". I just love those clouds! I knew that I wanted to use my twine {Available at The Ribbon Carousel} for the rain. OH MY! How cute are those rain drops! LOVE! And then I was thinking....this card is kind of blah--who wants clouds when someone is thinking of them? So I added a cloud, the sun with some more twine and an extra sentiment. LOVE LOVE LOVE how this turned out!

PDCC #77

Hello, friends:}

Another fun challenge starts today over at the The Play Date Cafe! This week our lovely Ruby has challenged us with this beautiful modern picture of greens, tans, and whites. And the PDCC has a fabulous sponsor: The Greeting Farm.  OH my--I've seen these super cute images and people over on my friend Jess's site....and I finally got the chance to play with their stamps! The Greeting Farm sent the PDCC DT some fun images to use for our cards--THANKS, GF!!

For my creation this week, I used my Camille GF stamp with basic green, white, and tan papers. It was really easy to paper piece this gal--and I wanted to give her highlights--but I'm not sure how to do the coloring...but I think she turned out super cute with "natural" hair! LOL!. I used some Thickers foam letters with some green rhinestones. Super easy card!
