New Home {post 4 for 9.7.11}

Hello, friends:}


I'm not sure what got into me today--I'm posting like crazy! I might have one more....only if I can finish my creation:)


I just had to share this card that I created for our Poppie {Trav's grandpa}. He just bought a new place near our home--and I'm super excited that he will be closer!! LOVE LOVE LOVE him!! I used my new BasicGrey paper {Life of the Party}. LOVE the rub-on house and key! I used the Ippity challenge as my guide--we were to use 1 image/sentiment, 2 colors of cardstock, and 3 patterned papers. I did all of these and added the rub-on elements and the button {also BasicGrey}/string. EASY! Oh--and I stitched around the papers...still EASY:) I am also entering this in Emily's moving challenge--I was inspired by her new home. 

That's it for now....fingers crossed I can finish my next card before the deadline!

Another flashback...

Hello, friends:}


I am playing along with Flashback Fridays. I just love that I am going back in my old pics of creations and finding things that match their challenges! I love how my style has developed--and sometimes I'm embarrassed to share what I've made! LOL! 

This time around we are posting our first shaped cards. I have to be honest--I didn't think that I would have in my photos/pile because just recently I started making shaped cards...but I found SEVERAL! Can you believe it??? This is my first one that I posted back in Feb. 2010. I made it using some Ippity stamps. I just love it--and I remember who I sent it to! LOVE:) If you want to read the original post--click HERE.

Ippity time:)

Hello, friends:}


I finally found some time to play with my Ippity stamps! I am linking this creation up to the Ippity challenge {paper piecing--which by the way, is my favorite thing to do when stamping, and I found it super hard to find images in my Ippity collection to paper piece! OY!}. 


I created a picture wall hanging--out of an embroidery hoop, some surged fabrics [thanks, Jeremy!!!], and leather string. I love the colors and fabrics that I used. I also love that glittered "d" at the top--so subtle but glamorous! I used my Ippity Sing A New Song [paper piecing that bird], Here & Now [sentiment], and my newest set The Best [banner]. I also used my Unity Small Things Matter Most set [sentiment]. I made this wall hanging for my friend, Daria! She is leaving tomorrow to go to Nyack. She said that she didn't have any decorations for her new home, so I made her something to keep pics of us on--of course, she can change our pics or put family photos up too!

 

**I told Trav that I wanted to put a huge 8x10 photo of me on this--but he said that it was inappropriate and a bit too large! LOL! I just don't want Daria to forget about me:)

ATU #34 Butterflies

Hello, friends:}

The All Things Unity challenge is starting a new 2 week challenge today! This challenge is all about butterflies--use your Unity and Ippity butterfly stamps. And just so you know--Unity has TONS of butterfly stamps! PERFECT:}

I love this purple and orange combo with black and kraft--SO pretty! I used lots of Unity stamps:: polka dots background, butterfly from Butterfly Beauty, sentiment from Picture Perfect. I also used my music from the Music of My Heart Ippity Set. Don't forget to order your Ippity from JenMarie!

EIC #141 {Home & Weddings}

Hello, friends:}

This week the EtsyInspired DT is sending you over to the Homes and Weddings shop. 

I was inspired by this elegant ring. I wanted to use some cream and tan ribbons to make an elegant anniversary card. I love that ribbon on the left--there's tulle ruffled with it! LOVE! I used my Ippity Regal Greetings stamp for this card. {Don't forget to stop HERE at JenMarie's to order some Ippity!!} Pretty simple--LOVE that!
