I've created a super fun Thank You card using some of my FAVORITE twine {available HERE and HERE from the Ribbon Carousel} as well as the Messages papers from NS. This was an easy card to put together- layering lots of elements from this paper pack and adding twine. FUN!!! The pocket works so you can pull out that message and add a small note on it! LOOOOOOOVE it!

Paper Smooches SPARKS August Picture Perfect

Hello, friends:}

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! The fourth week of the month is always a Picture Perfect challenge.  

This week we are inspired by the following picture: 

I was inspired by the design of all the colored squares--specifically the colored squares in the circle. I really wanted to make more squares on my card, but it just didn't look right. Funny how sometimes your cards don't turn out the way you thought they would! LOL!

I used scrap papers for this card including a metallic cream cardstock. I used several stamps from my Paper Smooches stamp sets {Simply Said, A Little Lovin', Space Cadet, and Pip Squeaks}. I had some extra twine {available HERE from the RC} laying on my desk and added that for some texture. I also added some washi tape {My Mind's Eye Tangerine} to the top of the card and as the pattern for the onesie:) My friend Kates helped me figure out where to put the little birdie--we wanted to add a pop of color with him! LOVE it!

Paper Smooches SPARKS August Cool Shades challenge

Hello, friends:}

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! The third week of the month is always a Cool Shades challenge.  

This week we are inspired by the following colors: 

I just love that orange and light mint/blue color together with the mauve/purple/pink! The yellow was probably the hardest part for me to add to my card! LOL! I used several of my My Mind's Eye papers {Honey, Fiddlesticks, My Fav Things--all available HERE from the Ribbon Carousel. The images are from my Paper Smooches Pip Squeaks set; the sentiment is from A Little Lovin'. The ribbon was cut in half to create a smaller bow {available HERE from the RC}. LOVE LOVE LOVE this card!

Paper Smooches SPARKS Designer Drafts challenge

Do you remember this sneak peek from the other day??? 

It's for the weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! The second week of the month is always a DESIGNER DRAFT challenge. This week we are inspired by this sketch: 

I am so excited to share my third creation for this challenge!!! **NOTE:: I flipped the horizontal sketch! I used some of my new My Mind's Eye Tangerine papers {available HERE from the Ribbon Carousel} along with several of my Paper Smooches stamp sets {Pip Squeaks, Simply Said, Helping Hands, and FOLKal Points}. I just LOOOOOOOOVE this card! 

SO SORRY this pic is horrible--I think it's too pink! OY!

RCC66 Summer

Hello, friends:}

There's a new weekly challenge that starts today over on the Ribbon Carousel blog!!! This week Jenny Peterson challenges us to make a summer themed card/creation. Also--we have a new crew member, please welcome Amber Hight to the group!  

I know this card looks familiar to my PS SPARKS challenge card HERE. I have to say that my Ribbon Carousel card was the inspiration!! I made this card/sketch first:) 

Everything on my card (except for the stamps) can be found in the Ribbon Carousel store!!! I used Bazzill cardstock {available HERE from the RC} with my FAVORITE chevron ribbon {available HERE from the RC}. I used several Paper Smooches stamps for the sentiment and heart {Eco Friendly, Swanky Snowdudes, Squeaky Clean}. Pretty simple! And it's perfect for this week--it's finally summer here in FL!!! LOOOOOOOOVE this card:) 

Where's the ribbon? I used the chevron twill ribbon as part of the sun rays! LOVE:)

The RCC team would love for you to join in the fun this week! Here are the details:

• Make your NEW creation following the ribbon carousel challenge (sketch, inspiration, style or color) image. Be sure to include some type of ribbon, twine, hemp, lace....basically, anything that comes on a spool.
• Your creation can be ANYTHING from cards, quilts, sewn items, paper crafts, paintings! ***Be sure to have ribbon, bakers twine, jute twine, lace, thread (basically anything that comes on a spool) on your creation! And be sure to follow the RCC challenge theme!
• Load your creation up onto your blog or a public viewing forum like SplitcoastStampers, (use the keyword RCC66) with a direct link back to The RCC blog post. Including the challenge graphic isn't a requirement, but sure is appreciated! A participant of our very first challenge didn't link back or mention our challenge and couldn't be named Top Spool, so don't let that happen to you!
• Come back to The RCC blog post and link in your creation using the Inlinkz button at the bottom of this post. Your image may take a little while to pop up but don't worry it will appear shortly.
• Be sure to come back the Friday after the challenge ends to see if YOU are a Top Spool! :D
