H{ippity} Hop August 30

Hello, friends:}

Happy H{ippity} Hop day!! I am really bummed that I didn't get a chance to participate in the Ippity challenge this week [use paint]. I just couldn't think of anything original. I had an idea....but then ran out of time...and you know how it goes. Oh well. Next time:} I did finish one card for the hop today! I was inspired by Danielle Flanders' card--her colors...the hemp string...the star...just loved her card! **NOTE:: A couple of weeks ago, I said that I don't normally CASE cards....I think I might have to start trying this more. I really liked not having to think (much) and just creating! ThanksDanielle for sharing such a fab card!

My card was created using Ippity's Book It! stamp, along with the star, car, and sentiment from Ippity's Authentic Man. I love my new Old Paper distress ink pad! I have never heard of this color until Julie Campbell shared this with me....or was it Lisa A....one of them! LOVE this color!

I also have a fun sneak peak for you....I made this card for the Paper Crafts sketch challenge. Trav helped me design this card! I LOVE these colors! I used Ippity's Fall For You bird for this card! Everything else I paper pieced or made from scratch-- LOVE LOVE LOVE it:}

And....I finally have two winners to share with you! Each winner will get a random Ippity stamp set! HOOORAY:} Congratulations to.....

EIC #103 {The Caged Fairy}

Hello, friends:}

Today starts another challenge over at EtsyInspired!! Just love visiting all those Etsy stores and finding inspiration for my creations! This week we are featuring the Etsy store The Caged Fairy. WOW--talk about bling and jewelry!! FAB pieces in that store;} And our sponsor this week is Your Next Stamp! Love these images! All the deets for this challenge are over the EIC blog! Be sure to check it out--there are 3 prizes this week! LOVE it!

My first project was inspired by this beautiful butterfly. I love those colorful pieces!! I created another prayer journal. The butterfly is from Unity's Butterfly Beauty. I picked different sections of the wings for the glitter to match the inspiration picture. Just love how this turned out!

This tag was inspired by these blinged out cherries! I had a gem cherry sticker but just couldn't figure out how I wanted it to look or how I wanted to use it....so I decided to use my Unity August KOTM cherry stamps instead! I love how these buttons fit just right! The sentiment is from Unity's August 09 KOTM. LOVE it! This was a simple tag--and can be used for just about anyone!

My last card was inspired by this wonderful blue owl! I just love owls--I really wanted to make my owl just like the dark blue jewelry piece....but it just didn't work out! So I decided to change my idea. I love this card---I used Unity's 100% Happy set for the tag and the owl came from Unity's August KOTM. The sentiment is from the new Unity store kit. I love it! I also love the shape of this card. The first picture didn't really show it well--so I taped a piece of paper on the back to prop it up. LOVE it!

That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by all the EIC DTs' blogs!! They have shared some beautiful creations today!

FWF {August 27}

Hello, friends:}

I just love love love Fridays! I love sharing with you my Unity and Ippity creations! Unity is the BEST stamp co. ever!! EVER! I always reach for these stamps first:} And I have to say THANK YOU to all the Unity peeps from yesterday's hop---all the comments were super sweet:}

Now on to the cards--this first two cards were created....just because. I wanted to make some baby cards, and I thought this would be fun to feature an animal and an alphabet card. I embossed in white the Thoughts from the Past by Ippity on the alphabet card. Then I printed on top of it and used glossy accents to make it pop! Then the lion {Unity's Wild Crazy} was created by paper piecing (and that famous ribbon and rik rak that I did a couple of weeks back)!! Super fun!
And to match the baby boy card...I made a girly elephant card. This one was stamped with the same Ippity background stamp and the elephant is from Unity's Wild Crazy. LOVE that truck with the bow! So fun!!
This next card was created based on a photo I saw on Dear Lizzy! She is soooooo creative!!! I used the same papers and stamps that I used on THIS and THIS card! LOVE these papers! And I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE these stamps! I have to make myself pick other sentiments or other images because I pick these more than anything!! The butterfly is from Unity's August 2009 KOTM. The sentiment is from May's KOTM. SOOOOOOOOOO simple! LOVE it! **NOTE:: I just noticed that I used a lot of kraft on these cards! ACK--I'm so silly! LOVE it anyway:} And I just noticed that several of my cards have been almost (ALMOST) CAS! Love that too:)

This last card was created for my husband using the Sweet Sunday Sketch. I was also inspired by our FWF39 challenge card. HOW does that match this inspiration card?? Well...I was inspired by the plaid paper...and I have not used those Ippity stamps. So I wanted to use some Ippity stamps that I had not used before. I modified the sketch it a bit--I made the bottom rectangle and circle into the bracket/rectangle. I love how this card turned out. I used Ippity's So This is Love tree/bird stamp. I also used Unity's Naturally You and Quiet Essence sets. I love love love this card! **NOTE:: Inside the card- I tell Trav that I should be quieter--I talk all the time:} LOL!
That's it  for me...however....if you haven't already been to the All Things Unity blog....I've written the post over there sharing with you my card that won over on the Paper Crafts blog. I linked to it last week but this is the first reveal--since ATU is having a style challenge and this card was picked for the Fun/Cute style!!!! And there might be another card there as well!

If you would like a complete list of Friends with Flair....head on over HERE! Lots of crafty goodness shared today:}

Thanks so much for stopping by! I love sharing with you--and I love all your support! I really don't think I could do any of this without your love and support--so THANK YOU! Be blessed;}

PDCC44

Hello, friends:}

Thanks to all of you who played along with us for The Play Date Cafe #43 challenge! I cannot believe all the creations---you INSPIRE me!!

This week's challenge is super fun. We have a returning Guest Designer--Elise Durenberger from MAMACOW Creations...LOVE it! She is super sweet and uber talented! Our sponsor for this week is Memory Box! Gotta love these stamps! Be sure to stop by the PDCC blog for more deets on the challenge deadlines and prize!!

This week's challenge was brought to you by Sarah--she calls it the Horribilus Color challenge. The colors we are featuring are navy, mustard, and hot pink.  YES, they really do go together nicely! While your creating with this weeks colors we'd love you to think about what colors you think don't go together, feel free to leave these colors as comments here on my blog, but remember to use Navy, Hot Pink and Mustard when you link in at the PDCC.

For my card, I wanted something simple but stylish. I was inspired by one of Jessica Witty's 10 minute ribbon card....this was after 2 hours of trying something fancy elegant (which is not my style--I'm more fun/cute). I wanted to add fabric in the mix too--so that ribbon became a fabric sash. I wrapped it around the card front and pleated it, then top stitched. FUN! These colors really do go well together!!
Don't fret if you are not sure what you could make with these colors--check out the other PDCC DT members' blogs--THEY will def. inspire you today! These projects match the challenge colors perfectly!!

We are so thankful for all of her support and love and BEAUTIFUL creations! Stephanie blessed us with her talents every week during her term! I'm sad to see her leave...but the good news is that she isn't saying GOODBYE! She is my friend, our friend, and always will be:} So make sure you head over to her blog and leave her some special love!! THANKSStephanie!!

Don't forget to head over to the PDCC blog for deets on this challenge::: ends on Tuesday, August 31 at 11:59pm. Cannot wait to see what you create.

Sketchy Thursday cards....and FINALLY the BAG!!! {another giveaway}

Hello, friends:}

I've got a couple of things to share today--I just love Sketchy Thursdays! I love their challenges [scrapbook layouts]...but by the time I figure out what I'm going to do and print the pics....I've missed the deadline! I need to have pics printed ahead of the time:} Lesson learned. HOWEVER...this week was a card challenge! GET OUT:) Right up my alley! So I created two pics based on this sketch. I loooooooooooove this first one. I love these papers (I used them on two other cards--can't get enough of those soft peach and yellows with that green ticket! LOVE it). I used Unity's August 09 butterfly with Ippity's Thoughts from the Past and Regal Greetings {the sentiment}. The pic doesn't show it very well--but that butterfly is stamped in light yellow on kraft! BEAUTIFUL in person! Love these colors!
My next card was created by rotating the sketch. I love making these envelope flaps--only this time I didn't attach the string and eyelet. I used Unity's ledger stamp (on grid paper--it looks cool) along with the snail from Naturally You and the sentiment from Jan. KOTM. LOVE it--I do wish that my pics wouldn't show the teal so bright! It is softer in person--taking pics inside after dark is not always the best:)
That's it for cards today...but I promised to bring you pics of my new bag last week....and GUESS WHAT?? I got two of them in the mail! I actually did a review for CSN stores a couple of weeks ago. I picked this bag--LOVE LOVE LOVE that grey with mustard color! I love the size and that feel of the bag--it looks almost suede but it is more nylon something! All I know is that I LOOOOOOOOOVE it! I am actually shocked at the size and the amount it holds--look at all these pics of the inside! FAB! Love the price too--$52!! ACK--so glad I got it:} This bag is called Baggallini. I would give this bag 12 out of 10! LOVE it that much:}

In that first pic--I was telling Trav how much I love love love this bag! He caught me in the act:}

LOOK at all that room--there are two side sections and a a zippered pocket between the two! ACK-love love love it:}

I originally was going to get this bag from Chinese Laundry. I looooove this bag too. I just love how it looks. Unfortunately, I waited too long and CSN was sold out. So I searched the internet....found one....bought it! LOVE it! I am disappointed in the size--it is SUPER HUGE! I thought it was small like the Baggallini. Not so!  SUPER huge. I just love the feel of this bag too. I'd give this bag a 9 out of 10

Thanks to Trav for taking my pics. I just hate getting pics taken...but he is always fun to work with:}

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope that you are doing well--and to make your day sweeter like mine was with two new purses...how about you head on over to CSN stores and come back and tell me what you would buy! I will pick one random winner on Friday at noon (or around then!). The winner will get a random Ippity stamp set [with a few of extra goodies like I always send out]!! So that's two chances to win--1. leave a comment about my cards and 2. visit CSN stores and come tell me what you like! HOOORAY for giveaways:}

Thanks again! Be blessed!

H{ippity} Hop August 23

Hello, friends:} Happy H{ippity} Hop day!!!

I've created some cards for the IHHC37 {use string} challenge! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE these cards! SO FUN!

This first one was created using the Treehouse Thursday Sketch challenge. I LOOOOOOOOOOVE this card! I love the DPs {Webster's Pages--available at Limelight}!! I actually flipped the sketch--thought my card/sentiment looked better this way! I used Ippity's Totally Happy [bottom sentiment], Just Wanted To Say [sentiment], and Books A Flutter [butterfly]. I love this butterfly--I love cutting it out of transparency! Super cute!! **NOTE:: if you remember THIS post about Jessica's bday card...This it is! I love it! I know she will love it too!
And this next card was created for my brother's anniversary! He owns his own construction company {if you live in Indiana and need something fixed--Hoover Construction!!}....so I wanted to use this sentiment with the Ippity house stamps. I love this paper! I stamped the word HOME [from Ippity's What Matter's Most and House A Home sets] several times on that yellow paper. Thought it would make it pop! I also used Unity's July KOTM for the house. The sentiment reads:: Happy Anniversary to a couple who's marriage and home was BUILT to last. **NOTE:: The funny part of this card--on the inside I wrote, "It will last because Hoover Construction built it!" HA! I know my brother, Carrel, really likes cards with homes...so this was perfect for him!
That's it for me today--but you can check out all the wonderful creations and the list of blogs HERE! These ladies are so talented! They create the BEST projects/cards! LOVE it!

Hope you all are doing well! Thanks so much for stopping by! Love sharing my Unity/Ippity creations with you!! Be blessed:}
