ONE YEAR Anniversary!! PDCC #52

Hello, friends!!

What a great day today is!! The Play Date Cafe is celebrating it's ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!! And what celebration the PDCC has planned! But first--let me tell you...I was blown away by all the amazing creations shared last week for our color combo #51!!! WOWZA! I loved visiting each blog and drooling over each card or project! THANKS for playing with us!
Now....for the celebration! This week's stamp sponsor is....get this.... UNITY STAMP Co.!!! ACK:) I am over the moon! Unity has graciously packaged up a prize of 15 Itty Bitty stamp sets for one winner! {gasp!!!} We also have another prize from...get this...Cosmo Cricket! I am so jealous--wish I could win!!
This week's prizes! WOWOWOW! Lucky you!

And we have some special guests joining in the fun this week--our wonderful PDCC DT Alumni have returned to play with us:  Julie Campbell, Sandi Kelly, Stephanie Kraft & Mona Pendleton. So be sure to stop by their blogs on the hop today!!

AND...we are so lucky to have the Unity DT play along with us, as well! Each day of this week's challenge, the Unity DT will be joining us as a Guest DTThe Play Date Cafe will be spotlighting new creations made by the Unity DT over on the blog daily!! So be sure to stop by the PDCC for more creations.

And now on to our color story...this is a fresh & fun combo. Plus, you get to pick the colors from the photo that you would like to use:} This color story has been brought to you by our wonderful leader, Julie Ranae. Makes you just want to celebrate! Unity has also provided the PDCC DT with some fabulous Itty Bittys to play with for this challenge {THANK YOUUnity!!}. For my card, I used the new Unity Itty Bitty 'What's Shakin'?'. So cute--I just love using my Unity stamps! Pretty simple card--love the layers of the paper and the pop for the shakers. CUTE!!
**NOTE:: Sorry about that bow--I thought I moved it before taking a pic...eh:}

That's it for me today...but be sure to stop by the rest of the teams' blogs!! You are going to be drooling--FABULOUS creations!!

PDCC44

Hello, friends:}

Thanks to all of you who played along with us for The Play Date Cafe #43 challenge! I cannot believe all the creations---you INSPIRE me!!

This week's challenge is super fun. We have a returning Guest Designer--Elise Durenberger from MAMACOW Creations...LOVE it! She is super sweet and uber talented! Our sponsor for this week is Memory Box! Gotta love these stamps! Be sure to stop by the PDCC blog for more deets on the challenge deadlines and prize!!

This week's challenge was brought to you by Sarah--she calls it the Horribilus Color challenge. The colors we are featuring are navy, mustard, and hot pink.  YES, they really do go together nicely! While your creating with this weeks colors we'd love you to think about what colors you think don't go together, feel free to leave these colors as comments here on my blog, but remember to use Navy, Hot Pink and Mustard when you link in at the PDCC.

For my card, I wanted something simple but stylish. I was inspired by one of Jessica Witty's 10 minute ribbon card....this was after 2 hours of trying something fancy elegant (which is not my style--I'm more fun/cute). I wanted to add fabric in the mix too--so that ribbon became a fabric sash. I wrapped it around the card front and pleated it, then top stitched. FUN! These colors really do go well together!!
Don't fret if you are not sure what you could make with these colors--check out the other PDCC DT members' blogs--THEY will def. inspire you today! These projects match the challenge colors perfectly!!

And now for some sad news....our wonderful DT Stephanie Kraft will be leaving us! This is her last challenge as a DT! We are so thankful for all of her support and love and BEAUTIFUL creations! Stephanie blessed us with her talents every week during her term! I'm sad to see her leave...but the good news is that she isn't saying GOODBYE! She is my friend, our friend, and always will be:} So make sure you head over to her blog and leave her some special love!! THANKSStephanie!!

Don't forget to head over to the PDCC blog for deets on this challenge::: ends on Tuesday, August 31 at 11:59pm. Cannot wait to see what you create.

I'll be back tomorrow with some more creations! Thanks so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

Birthdays...Nurse's Day....and some EIC cards

Hello, friends:}

First of all....HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my friend, Stephanie!! She is a fellow team member on the PDCC! Hope she has a blessed day:}

It is also OLSEN BEBO's birthday! He is the big 2--such a big boy:} I made him a little hat last night...it used a Cuttlebug die cut and my Cricut to make the letters. Super cute!! Here are a couple of pics...

That's a treat on his nose--he will do anything for those!
Today is also Nurse's day! Happy Nurse's Day to you! I have a friend who asked me to make a couple of nurse gifts. I tried to take the best picture that I could....so sorry it looks like they were about to fall off the chair! They are super cute--they had a gift box with a foam nurse hat in shrink wrap. I made a tag {perfect for the City Crafter's challenge!} for the gifts that looked like a nurse hat as well [keeping in the theme!]. They turned out GREAT! Love how they looked!

Ok...now on to my cards! This week at EtsyInspired... the featured store is Isabell's Umbrella. ACK---these are so cute! I saw three images that I LOVED! But I can only show you two of my cards today! I will share the other two on Friday! TOOOO CUTE! This first one was inspired by this card with a hedgehog on it. And I just got some new stamps by Studio G at Michaels (I*Cling stamps!!) with a hedgehog. How fun!! So this is a simple card--stamp stamp stamp and cut out, glue down, color in! SIMPLE! Love it!

This next card was inspired by this owl--how could I not use this owl?? How cute is he? The stamp I used is also from Studio G's new line. LOVE it! This card is only 4 x 2.5 inches. I'm so into MINIs!
Well...I better get back to work! Thanks so much for stopping by--love when I get to celebrate my friend's & Olsen's birthday with you! To sweeten the deal for my May giveaway--double your chances TODAY by leaving love for Stephanie! Wish her a happy birthday! And then leave OLSEN a note! He loves to get love too! **NOTE:: You can leave seperate comments if you would like--one for me...one for Steph...and one for Olsen [so technically you could triple your chances to win!!]. I love having as many chances as possible to win!

Thanks again for everything! YOU ALL ARE THE BEST!! Love my friends! Be blessed:}
Until next time~
Love, Sav

ps...be sure to stop back by tomorrow for another Play Date Cafe challenge! BEAUTIFUL colors!
