finally the BRIDE story...

Hello, friends:}


I know I said last month that I would share a fun gift for a bride...but I had to make sure she had opened the gifts before I shared this story. Good news--she opened them! HOOORAY! 


The Story::: As soon as a friend or family member gets engaged, I get "to work". I find out when they are getting married and what their colors are. My sister-in-law, Candice [I know you remember me talking about her every month!], got engaged about six months ago. She is getting married on November 13, 2010 in Las Vegas. So....here is what I do to make her wedding planning special--I make her a card every month and send it out so she gets it around the 13th {sometimes I'm late}...that way she feels special and knows that I will help if she needs anything or just to relax!! Here is her card for June. Her last name will begin with an R...so I made a simple but elegant and glamorous card! **NOTE:: the color of her wedding is eggplant.

There's more to the story::: The other thing that I do for a bride is make a special gift. For a shower gift, I like to make the following card. 

It says, "7 days before the wedding...what to wear? What to wear?" On the inside it says, "Down there!". I love giving 7 days worth of fun undies! I know--scandalous....but I love making the bride feel "sexy" and embarrassed! I like to match the undies with sayings or their wedding colors/etc. For Candice...I went with Victoria Secret--I was running out of time, and plus, I LOVE LOVE LOVE that store! I got her some that had dollar signs all over it [getting lucky for LV and slot machines]....and I got her a pair that had dessert on it and music notes [to get them ready for dancing!!]. I really like putting this gift together. I remember my friend Jackie's wedding was on a boat--so I got a pair that were just like a sailor's outfit! And I made her boxes gold and metallic blue [like the ocean-beach]. Super fun! Or my other sister-in-law....she got a pair that were neon orange [because my brother likes to hunt]. Too funny! 


I hope that my friend, Concetta, isn't reading this! She just got engaged! Don't read this, Concetta:}
