Embellish Magazine challenge card

Hello, friends:}

I loooooooooooooove this card that I created for the Embellish Magazine challenge! It was a color combo with an extra requirement:: BIRDS! I love love love birds--how could I not use my owl stamps from Unity!!! I actually wanted to make something different than a plain old card. So I made a gift card holder that pulls out. I love this owl stamp {Unity's Super Sweet}!! I paper pieced her and made her 3D with foam dots. The tree branch is from Unity's What A Hoot! set. SOOOO FUN! I love that the owl is standing on the branch! ACK:} I tied a small bow on the U for extra fun!
If you haven't had time to play along with this challenge--you have until tomorrow night! And you have until tomorrow night to enter into the sponsor's blog candy! Chris Franco {Blessings Ink} has some owl stamps up for grabs! I love my owls--so I entered to win:) THANKSChris!!

I'll be back tomorrow with another Play Date Cafe challenge--oh my gosh:) I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE what I made!!! Can't wait to share it! And then I will be back on Friday with some OH SO YUMMY FWF cards!! LOTS of them:} Lots to share--so little time!!

THANKS for stopping by! Love love love visiting with you!! Be blessed!

This is so cute Savannah! Love the little owl. I sure do miss my JoAnn's. We don't have one where I moved to. Very depressing. :)

I'm so glad I popped over to see the whole post - too adorable! I love how you made the owl also the tab on your gift card holder - so unique and so clever! :) Paper piecing is one of my favorite techniques, time consuming but the results are worth it. Great job!! Thanks about including me in your post - I'm honored!!!
