EIC #105 {Handmade Whimzy}

Hello, friends:}

Another great challenge starts today over at the EtsyInspired blog! LOVE visiting all these shops and getting inspired! This week we are featuring Handmade Whimzy! What a fun store! And our sponsor this week is Craft Brulee. 2 winners this week:: one will win a lavender and chamamile eye pillow from Handmade Whimzy and another winner will get a $10 USD gift voucher from Craft Brulee! OHHH--wish I could win!

I was inspired by several items (again!). My first creation was inspired by this apron! I love love love this style of aprons--so fun and fresh! And these colors! MMMM! Just makes me want to go bake something:} I created a pear prayer journal. I know there isn't a pear on the apron--but my apple stamp was a bit small...so I made another fruit the focus! This pear image is from Unity's 100% Happy set. LOVE it! I used the split image technique to make this pear. So fun! And this is such a fun prayer journal with all the colors and images! It could be for a boy or a girl--a whole family!

My next project was created after seeing this cow jumping over the moon necklace! So fun--I instantly thought of my JoAnn Fabric stamps--I think they are Debbie Mumm??? I got them so long ago--but excited I was able to use them for this tag! I also used my Unity polka dot wood stamp for the sentiment. Unfortunately, I cannot show you more than this little sample. I will share it ASAP (or as soon as it is rejected from the submission call!).   I actually LOVE this tag--it is super cute! So be on the look out for when I share it again:}

My last card was created after seeing this cute owl lavender and chamomile eye pillow. I just love owls--and I thought I would make a red-ish colored owl. I used my August Unity KOTM paired with the What A Hoot! Unity set by . LOVE this CAS card!! Super fun!!

That's it for me today! I hope you will stop by all the other EtsyInspired DT members' blogs--they will knock you out of your chair with their AMAZING talent! LOVE it!

Hi Savannah!

Wonderful cards from you here! Love the way you split the pear, looks amazing like this, with those two textures! And your last card is so cute, I love the owls! And makes me want to order the whole Unity shop, ha ha!! I'm sure I will be collecting many more stamps from there in the coming weeks, I saw soooo many wonerful ones hopping around Love them all! And this card from you is just the cutest!
Yes, we should also all remember this day today and remember the fallen. God bless America - and the Netherlands! ;-) Right? Oh, I know I'm not living in USA and I surely didn't loose any loved ones there, but I remember so well, being at work and seeing those images on the tv and how devastated I felt inside.. I was there with the towers two years before and was amazed by them! And then this.. Those days were weird and made me angry and sad! And didn;t feel the same after it! I think we all should be aware of what changed in the world and try to do our own little things to make it a better place! Why can't the whole world be like this blogging-world! ;-) Wouldn't that be a fabulous one? I only met wonderful people here! Spread the love!!

Hugs,
Wendy
