Hello, friends! Happy NEW Year!!!
I know it's already the middle of the month... but I usually don't start working on my new year goals until February because it takes me the whole month of January to reflect and make new ones! LOL
Anyway... I've already started counting the number of cards I've created this year. I'm up to 15 right now (that's like making one a day!). I posted HERE on Instagram that for several years after we moved that my crafting was slow as I didn't have lots of time; however, in 2021 I almost doubled the amount I have done the past few years--- a total of 343 cards!
The first cards of 2022 have been sad ones as they are for several neighbors who have recently lost a beloved pet or family member😞 The first three cards had a similar design as the one below but the dog image matched their pup. Two of our neighbors lost their dogs within a day or so of each other. This news broke our hearts as we know the pain of losing a dog-- it will be 2 years since Olsen passed❤️
Sorry my photos are not that great! I haven't had to take photos in ages! I lost my touch... although I'm not sure I ever really had great photos in the first place! LOL!
The next card was created for a different neighbor- we found out that her husband passed recently. I actually created two cards using the negatives and positives of the cover die. I love how this turned out!!!
#SAVfact: I have had this alcohol background waiting in my pile of "To Use/Make" since APRIL 2021!!!!!!!!!!! Check out the post HERE. I haven't had a chance to finish these card bases... and to be honest, I didn't know what to put on them. I knew yesterday that I needed to use these backgrounds for our neighbor. These cards are absolutely stunning in person!
That's it for me today. I did use some scraps from my alcohol inked background to create a set of CAS cards--- I'll share that after I take photos (hopefully those photos will look better than these!)! 😂

Sorry for your neighbor's losses. The pup on your card is darling and is sure to lift the recipient's spirits. The floral cards are fantastic, great use of the positive and negative cuts!
I love your card with the black dog. I've searched for the stamp set only to find out it is discontinued, sadly. Thanks for sharing
