Hello, friends:}
This is a super hard post for me to write...I have debated whether or not to share...but it's me being honest. So I thought I would join in the Rejection Train that was started over on Amber's blog for the last publication call for Paper Crafts Magazine. I loooooooove sketches...and I went all out for this call! I spent lots of hours coming up with different ideas or what papers I wanted to use...and I was so excited about my creations. All of them! I do have two favorites....but nothing was picked up. I have to say--it was super hard! I was so so so sad.
So after talking with many of my friends {Julie Campbell, Char Austin, and so many more!!}....I decided to join in the fun. Why not? What's it going to hurt?
I'm sharing only one of my rejected cards today. I just loooooooved sketch #80. I knew instantly that I wanted to make it into a carrot. I have wanted to use this saying for quite some time now...and this was the perfect time. I just love how I used my Ippity lined stamp {Authentic Man} to make the carrot lines! ACK! So cute:) I love that bunny {Ippity: Sweet Thoughts of Spring} and I love love love the pull-out. I also stamped the heart from Unity's The Best Is Yet To Be. LOOOOOVE this card! I am entering this is Unity's monthly challenge [hearts] and the Paper Piecing Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. Love love love playing along with Moxie Fab! Love creating in general:}
And on a happier note...you need to stop by Moxie Fab this week! I was featured as their Moxie Fabber on Monday! I about died! What a fabulous pick-me-up! I appreciate all the comments left over there--I've enjoyed reading each one! I'm so blessed to have so many fabulous friends! THANKS:} And THANKS to Cath!! I've been on cloud 9 all week!!!
That's it for me today--thanks for stopping by! Maybe I needed to share this rejection so I could move on and craft again, and possibly submit this time around. Your visit was much needed in my healing:} THANK YOU!
Be blessed!!
Hello, friends:}
I might be sharing a card/LO later...but I wanted to pop on and share with you an award that I received last week! I got a FUN email from Tracy telling me there was a surprise on her blog for me last week. I was super nervous--surprises always scare me {I guess I always think the worst}....but when I finally got my RSS feeder to work, I found out that Tracy had sent me this WONDERFUL award! How fun is that??? Good surprise:}
Here are the rules for the award::
1. Thank the person who gave you this award::: THANK YOU so much, Tracy! Your friendship and support mean so much to me! I love sharing with you--and I love visiting your site as well! HOOOORAY for fabulous friends:} THANKS, Tracy!
2. Copy the award and put it on your blog::: done.
3. List three things which you love about yourself::: UM.....if you know me {and you can ask my husband}, I never can think of things that I love about myself. It's not that I am trying to mean to myself or get a pity party....or that I'm just negative...I just never have liked much of anything. Well--that all changed about a year ago. I can now rattle off without even thinking about it--1] I like that I have a huge heart that cares about EVERYONE. 2] I like that I am using my gifts to glorify GOD. 3] I like that one of my strengths {which I took a test to find my 5 strengths} is INCLUDER, which means I like to make everyone happy (in some form or another). So those are my three things that I love about myself.
4. Post a picture that you love::: hm....well....I really like this picture of Trav. He is the BEST husband in the whole wide world! I love this picture because it is super silly! He was messing around with his new guitar and his blog profile pic. SILLY!
5. Tag 5 people you would like to give this award to::: From my #3 thing that I love about myself (and one of my top 5 strengths)...I would LOVE to give it to ALL of you!! But I can only pick 5... so here they are:::
1] Char Austin--she is amazing. She never gets tired of listening to me complain about something silly. She also never gets upset when I ask too many questions! She has been a major influence on my crafting career!
2] The PDCC DTs--can I give it to a whole group?? I AM!! Lisa Somerville, Sarah Anderson, Stephanie Kraft, Ruby 2 Shoes, Suzanne Czosek, and Julie Ranae are AMAZING friends! I am so blessed to be on the same team as these talented ladies!!! LOOOOVE the PDCC:}
3] The EtsyInspired DTs--another group!! I just love this group too! All these gals {Ashley, De, Emily B., Emily N., Heather Rolin, JoyKerry, Stephanie, and Virginia} are a great group of friends! They are the best when it comes to supporting me! I can't believe I'm on this talented team!!
4] The All Things Unity DTs--last group:) I looooooove this new team that I am on! Sara Henton, Andrea Murdock, Kyra Sandstone, and Lynn Miller are so sweet! I'm so lucky to be on this team--esp. since I always need an excuse to work with my Unity stamps:} LOVE IT! Love this team!!
I skipped #5--since I broke the rules and gave out group awards! See? I found a way to include several peopole:} I do wish I could give ALL of you an award!! Speaking of giving away...I know! I will give you a special chance to win *******! I can't tell you what it is yet...but it is a full sheet of Unity Stamps!! That is all I can say!! Here is how you can enter 5 ways TODAY {August 3--this post}:::

Hello, friends:}
What a great day! The Play Date Cafe is on their 40th challenge! HOOOOOOOOORAY! And thanks to all who participated in last week's challenge--116 playeres!! The lucky winner [announced on the blog today] gets $75 worth of Unity stamps!!
This week...we have another AWESOME sponsor:: MEMORY BOX! WOWZA! What great stamps! The PDCC was lucky enough to get some of these stamps ahead of time to play with--these are beautiful! And they sent me butterfly stamps--how did they know I am in LOVE with butterflies???!! LOVE it! The winner this week will get these two butterfly stamps from MEMORY BOX. LUCKY!!!
Our color story this week is a "SPLASH" of green! So we ask that you use white, black, and a splash of green. What is a "SPLASH"?? Well--like 10% of your card is that color. That is what I tried to do this time! I really really LOVE these cards....but unfortunately they were made with a heavy heart. I made them for friend. She just lost her Father-in-Law. I do not like making sympathy cards...but I do have to say that these cards are AMAZING-simple and with lots of prayer/love. I just love those butterflies on transparencies! For this card, I used my MEMORY BOX butterfly stamp along with a sentiment from Unity {Encompassed Grace}. The paper is actually Basic Grey. LOVE it!
This is also a fav of mine!! It was made with regular white paper...same sentiment from Unity....the background text is from my Gina K. Designs (Vintage Backgrounds by Nina Brackett)....and the beautiful butterfly on transparency is from MEMORY BOX . Just love this card! **NOTE:: You should probably know that I tried to CASE a card by my amazing friend, Char Austin! Her card and sketch inspired this card! LOVE IT!
That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by all the other PDCC DT memebers' blogs--I am super jealous of their talent! They are soooooooooooo crafty!!!
