Chickaniddy Crafts: Pinspiration Recap

Earlier this week, I was on the Chickaniddy blog--- check it out HERE:) I've been inspired by the Chickaniddy Pinterest July 2014 Mood board!

I was inspired by the first picture with the squares and doodle lines. It instantly reminded me of stitching and so I got out my sewing machine!

I used a couple of Chickaniddy patterned papers from the Date Night collection for my base and center design. I also added some banner flag ends to the sentiment using some yellow striped papers in the Twirly Girly collection. I LOOOOOOOVE those brads and how everything ties together, as well as matches the Pinterest photo! 

This card was super easy to create! 

1. Cut 1 1/4" squares from patterned paper and adhere to card base.
2. Stitch around squares and card base (twice if needed).
3. Add brads to left corner.
4. Create sentiment using stickers and patterned paper. 

EASY!

Chickaniddy: March Pinspration

Today I'm sharing a Chickaniddy project inspired by a picture on the Chickaniddy Pinterest board, plus using the fabulous Date Night collection! This project is for a post called Pinspration. 

I have to admit that there were lots of photos and pins on the Chickaniddy board that I was inspired by-- so many fabulous colors, designs, and ideas! I ended up using this photo as my inspiration. I really like the lace and solid color, as well as the diagonal design. 

I ended up flipping my design so the diagonal was in the lower left corner, and I made the solid the smaller piece for my card.

I really love how this card turned out-- my favorite part about this card would be the cluster of stickers, brads, embellishments, and the "masked" sentiment! I really enjoy masking my stamps to create my very own custom sentiment! LOVE!!!

Paper Smooches SPARKS Feb. Designer Drafts challenge

Hello, friends:}

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! The second week of the month is always a DESIGNER DRAFT challenge. 

This week we are inspired by the following sketches: 

I love love love my card....and I think it matches 90% of the sketch! The past couple of Designer Drafts challenges have been a perfect match for me! So this week I went a bit in my own direction with some minor changes-- the banner on the top square has become arrows and the sentiment banner only has "one flag side". **Also, I was inspired by the two squares on THIS LO found on Pinterest-- so I tried to incorporate that design into my card. 

I used some of my favorite papers {Crate Paper Pretty Party} for this card!! I also used some of my NEW PS dies, including the Duo Die 2 and Hot Spot Sm Set 1. LOOOOOVE these new dies!!! I inked up the Paper Smooches Birthday Buddies, Word Salad, Spring Groves, and Woofers & Tweeters sets as well. LOVE x10000!
