Paper Smooches SPARKS October Designer Drafts challenge

Hello, friends:}

Today we start our last weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week we are sharing a DESIGNER DRAFT challenge. 

This week we are inspired by the following sketch:

**Sentiments can be placed anywhere on the sketch.

Because this is our last sketch challenge... I decided to be ME! I changed this sketch again, but I think you will see how it inspired me;)

I used several PS stamps and dies for this card including the Paper Smooches Lots of Love, Smoocheroos, Uplifters, Word Bubbles dies, Love & Cherish dies, and the Ornaments dies dies. I just love these Studio Calico papers (from like a year ago--- Here + There)! I thought they would be perfect for an anniversary card for Trav. I'm hoping to sneak this in my suitcase so that I can give it to him while we are in Paris for our anniversary:) Hopefully he doesn't see it beforehand!

Paper Smooches SPARKS: June Designer Drafts challenge

Hello, friends:}

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week we are sharing a DESIGNER DRAFT challenge. 

This week we are inspired by the following sketch:

**Sentiments can be placed anywhere on the sketch.

Ok--- so I think I followed this sketch 80%! That's 30% more than EVER before! LOL! I did move the two panels over...and the word up on a PS Speech Bubble... but that's about it on changing the sketch:)

That being said... I loooooooooooove this card! I made it for my Mom/Dad. Our family dog passed away last week. His name was JT, and he was a fun dog! He lived outside (mostly with the cats in their house!). I tried to find a picture of him... but this is all I had! This photo was taken in December of 2010--- he's in the background near the milk house! 

Here's a photo zoomed in--- he was scraggly and always barked at us. LOL! 

This card is super CAS--- and I love that heart die cut piece! I was originally going to use the PS Hearts die pieces for a vertical design, but then I used the scrap and left it! I LOVE how that turned out:) I tried to find a PS dog image that would match JT, and I ended up using the Paws for a Cause set. I used some Becky Higgins Project Life journaling cards for my design along with some Recollections b/w striped washi tape. EASY and perfect for my family as they grieve the loss of JT.

Paper Smooches SPARKS: May Anything Goes (wk3) challenge

Hello, friends:}

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! Another Anything Goes challenge starts today!   

That's right--you get to create ANYTHING you want (as long as you use Paper Smooches stamps)!! This is the BEST challenge ever!!! 

I am combining challenges again (GASP!!!!!)--- I'm going to enter this card into the Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Gallery Idol challenge. 

The challenge: use washi tape
My take on this challenge includes:

• This card uses washi tape for everything- except the white cardstock:) 
• I used 4 different washi tapes, including white tape!
• The background is washi tape and I mitered the corners so it looks clean.
• I used Kelly Purkey's white washi tape with a bit of Wink of Stella (clear) to make the diamond! I placed this washi tape on a transparency and die cut it with my Silhouette! LOVE!
  
• I also used gold washi tape to create that ring!
• I used some neon coral tape to die cut the sentiment and little heart. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

I think this card is super cute! I did have a bit of help from my friend Trisha-- she agreed that I needed to add the silver string and heart:) LOVE that I can text her and ask for help! 

I used the Paper Smooches Hubby and Wifey stamp set along with the Congratulations and Hearts dies. CAS! Well.... actually this card took me 5 hours to make! I wanted to make sure I was only using washi tape... and I didn't really know how to use my Silhouette! I accidentally cut through my mat! LOL!

Paper Smooches SPARKS Feb. Anything Goes (wk3) challenge

Hello, friends:}

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week is another ANYTHING GOES challenge. EASIEST challenge EVER!

I created a very CAS card using some journaling cards by We R Memory Keepers- I'm finding that I turn to these journaling cards when I need a card FAST! LOL! 

I die cut the Paper Smooches Word Bubble from vellum and a heart from the Hearts dies and stapled them on top of the journaling card. Then I gold embossed a sentiment from the PS Scripty Sayings stamp set using my FAVORITE Imagine Crafts gold embossing powder. I finished my card using my Wink of Stella glitter pen on the word LOVE. EASY SMEASY! ***Trav said he would like to get this card sometime in the future! LOL! TOOO cute:)
