2022: Marriage Week Day 5 [card #38]

Hello again, sweet friends! Happy Marriage Week❤️

Marriage Week Day 5: I already created two cards with alcohol inks (HERE and HERE).... and two more with patterned papers (HERE and HERE- this one had more mistakes than anything else! LOL!)... so for today's card I used just colored cardstock.
I was inspired by another creation found HERE; this inspiration was a sample featured for a Catherine Pooler Designs' die set. I love how the inspired card was all white with pops of color for the heart "halves". I used similar stamps and dies and copied the entire design! Sometimes you need to CASE a card:)
Notice how that background has a pierced design?
That's what I was trying to achieve with Day 2's card HERE

Trav's gift for today is a container of his FAVORITE Publix ice cream. You can never go wrong with gifting ice cream! LOL!

That's it for me today. I hope this card inspires you to get creative today or to celebrate your love and marriage❤️

THANKS so much for stopping by!

Be blessed ❤️

2022: Another set of Sympathy cards #22-27 + #28-33

Hello again, sweet friends!

As you might have seen by my previous posts... 2022 has started off rough! **Yes--- I literally copied + pasted that line from another post because this month has been full of sadness and loss!

I made a kraft and black sympathy card HERE and used that as my design for another card for my friend. I used the same design but switched the sentiment at the bottom. It's a pretty simple card but will be full of love and prayers as my friend and her mom/family grieve the loss of her brother.
I also CASED myself! I made a similar sympathy, thinking of you, sending prayers card like this one below for Paper Smooches when they released their line of paper in 2019! I recreated it because I thought it might be the card I use to send to my friend. While it's simple and beautiful, I decided that I wanted to make something different. **NOTE: And yet.... the "different" card is actually the same as the kraft/black one! LOL!
That's it for me today. I hope to get in the studio more this week--- and hopefully I can make something other than sympathy themed cards! THANKS so much for stopping by!

Be blessed ❤️

Paper Smooches SPARKS April Anything Goes (wk3) challenge

Hello, friends:}
Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week is another ANYTHING GOES challenge. EASIEST challenge EVER!
I created this card a couple of weeks ago... I was on the phone with my younger brother and decided to mess around with my Tsukineko Kaleidacolor ink pads. I used them to make a watercolor design and LOOOOOOOOOVED the result.

The only problem is that I couldn't remember how I did it! LOL! I was talking with Carrel and crafting...and then all of a sudden realized that I needed to remember how I created my card! LOL!

So I went online to find a card design that I could CASE--- I love this watercolor look so much that I wanted it to pop! I wasn't sure how to do that (this is my FIRST time working with "watercolors")....and sometimes I get stuck and need inspiration! I came across THIS layout by Wilna. She used paints but it was the exact look I was looking for! I CASED her page design using striped washi tape, splatters (made with my Imagine Crafts irRESISTible Tuxedo Black spray), and the white die cut over the design. LOOOOOOVE! ThanksWilna for sharing your creation and for inspiring me:)
I used the Paper Smooches Simply Said and Happy Birthday sentiments along with the PS Birthday Words die cuts. LOOOOOVE LOVE LOVE how this turned out!
I kind of hate that I had to CASE Wilna's design-- I wish I would have thought of this myself! LOVE it!

That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love
And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details. This challenge ends April 26th. I cannot wait to see what you make!!!

THANKS so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}
