PDCC #74

Hello, friends:} 

Let me start by saying "WOOOOOOOW!" I was blown away by all the creations shared last week for our color story! I just loved those colors together--and I loved visiting each and every one of our players' blogs and checking out their creations! I was DEF. inspired! LOVE it!!!

There is another fabulous color story shared over on The Play Date Cafe blog today! This week, our very talented Ruby 2 Shoes has picked our colors--blue, purple, and white. LOVE that inspiration photo! 

We have a wonderful sponsor this week: Lizzie Anne Designs and HERE is their blog. I have loved LAD stamps for over a year--and they just keep getting more amazing! The PDCC DT was lucky enough to have some sets sent to us to play with--THANKS, Lizzie Anne Designs!! I received Blossom Doodles. I wanted to focus on one of the flower stamps in this set, so I made a side rectangle with our color story, as well as gray and kraft. I also used my LAD Sept. 2009 KOTM set for the sentiment. LOVE that twine [The Twinery] holding on the sentiment! I think this turned out super cute!

Cards and Design Dollies Challenge card...AND!!

Hello, friends:}

I just wanted to pop on quickly to share a fun Summer card {created for the CARDS [summer fun] and Design Dollies [color combo] challenges}. I just loooooove this stamp from Lizzie Anne Designs. It is from the August KOTM--I actually masked it for the sentiment. I wanted the words to come off the page. I used embroidery thread for the sun rays. I love it! I love that swirl of glitter too! SO FUN!! The best part--this is a mini card--like 2 x 3 inches!

And I wanted to let you know--I have NOT forgotten to post the winner of my BIG Unity giveaway. I apologize for not posting it yet--I really have to catch up {it's BUSY in Savannahland!}. EIC #99 {Becky Kazana}

Hello, friends:}

I'm so excited!! The EtsyInspired challenge is one week away from our 100th challenge! You should mark your calendar for August 7th!! You won't want to miss out!!


You also don't want to miss out on this week's challenge!! Our featured Etsy store is Becky Kazana. WOW--she has so many fun items in her store. And she makes it in Hawaii!! I want to go there:} I found so many items that I loved--lots of goodies to inspire you! And this week's EIC sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps! I had some major fun looking through all the digital stamps on their site! One winner this week will win three free cards from Becky Kazana and another winner will get seven free digital stamps from Bugaboo Stamps! SOOO lucky!!!

This week, I was inspired by this cake topper. When I was looking at all the Bugaboo Stamps, I feel in love with this old couple:} I just knew it would work for this week's challenge!! Plus, our friend's son just got married...so this is their wedding card! HA! Love it! I paper pieced the couple and even used glossy accents on their glasses and the polka dots! SOOOOOO cute! I just love this card! I also colored his hair with a silver pen--just dabbing it on my finger and rubbing. The lady's hair is actually "weathered wood" patterned paper. SO FUN! I love that the man's shirt is "dirty" but his socks are clean! ACK! LOVE IT! The sentiment is::: marriage...It's great to find that one special person you can annoy for the rest of your life! How funny is that? And now that I think about it--this card is perfect for the ABC Design Blog challenge {paper pieced}. I also think this is a FUN card for Moxie Fab's Let's Do Fun & Cute challenge--ACK!! LOOOOOOOOOOVE this card! 

This next card was inspired by this bingo hat! How fun!! I wanted to make mine look vintage like the hat...but I think I distressed with too much red ink. Eh. I used my Unity bingo stamp with my Lizzie Anne Design {March KOTM} owl. I paper pieced the owl and made him 3D. I also used my distressed stickles on his stomach! SO fun!! Actually, the owls wings are stamped with Unity's music background stamp! LOVE it:} The ribbon at the bottom is velvety! Super awesome!! This card is also perfect for the ABC Design Blog...and I think that this is also a fun and cute card--I'm entering this one as well into Moxie Fab's Let's Do Fun & Cute challenge.

EIC #98 {EmenGeeDesigns}

ello, friends:}

I was inspired by three items. My first was my FAV coin purse--I really liked how the flowers were embroidered. I embroidered my flowers too--I couched four of the flowers and then satin stitched the purple ones. I also used a french knot for the centers. I really like how this card turned out!! LOVE IT! Oh--I used my Unity Feb. KOTM stamps for this card! LOOOOVE it again! **NOTE:: I'm also entering this into the Unity Addicts challenge. I think I'm more than an Addict--I LOOOOOOOVE Unity! 

The next card was created from this coin purse--the same one that someone will win! I used my Lizzie Anne Designs March KOTM stamps for this card. It is actually a mini card--and I love the 3D honeycombs!! Super fun!!

On my last card, I used one of Robyn's Fetish stamps! My inspiration came from these two photos. 

 

I paper pieced the dragonfly and used buttons on the flowers. I love how it turned out:}

**NOTE:: This was supposed to be for Lucy's Challenge {buttons}, but I'm 2 hours too late! Next time:)

PDCC34 a splash of color

Hello, friends;}

It is my pleasure to bring to you today one of my FAV color challenges! I LOVE LOVE LOVE The Play Date Cafe challenges! This week we have a wonderful color splash combo! Our Celebrity Guest Designer is none other than Mandy from Limelight! HOOOORAY:} Limelight will also be our sponsor this week! Gotta love that--wish I could win! LOVE Limelight!! Mandy is offering our winner 2 bottles of the Shimmerz Vibez Miniz--Hot Fudge and Razzle Dazzle Berry! WOW! 

This week the challenge is white, black, and a splash of blue. What counts as a splash of blue? Just a hint of it...or just a dash of color...I know that is hard to measure a "splash" or "dash" [I know when I'm cooking...I'm confused with those terms!]. But all you have to do is just add a hint of blue on your card! How fun! I love working with all white...so my card was naturally made with border punches and white cardstock. I was inspired by using several border punches after another blog. I love this card--the butterfly {Lizzie Anne Design stamp from June KOTM} is 3D with a transparency that was glittered! LOOOOOVE it! That was my splash. I really wanted to put a sentiment on the card with black ink...but thought it might take away from the beauty of that "hint" of blue!
