Paper Smooches SPARKS: June Designer Drafts challenge

Hello, friends:}

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week we are sharing a DESIGNER DRAFT challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following sketch:
**Sentiments can be placed anywhere on the sketch.

So... again I thought I was doing well at following sketches... but this one I might have went off track A LOT! I think next month I should challenge myself to stick to the sketch 100%! No changes what-so-ever! I'll keep you posted:) ****Honestly, I'm not sure I reeeeeeally changed much on this card---- the sentiment can go anywhere so that's ok... and then I took away that extra panel underneath it... and flipped it vertically. That makes it about 85% of this sketch! LOL! And to be reeeeeeeeeally honest... I'm just trying to justify my card! LOL!
I created a simple Thank You card to keep in my stash. I actually might make 10 of these so I have them on hand! LOL!
I used only PS dies for this card including the Paper Smooches Fringe, Fringe 2, and Thanks Word dies. I thought that the fringe dies worked really well with the different sized panels on the sketch! SUPER SUPER simple!

That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs, get inspired, and leave them some love

And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details!!!! This challenge ends July 4th. I cannot wait to see what you make!!!

THANKS so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

Virtual Smooches: How-To Fringe Die (part 2: 3D Embellishments)

Hello, friends:}

Today is my day to share a video over on the  Paper Smooches video blog- Virtual Smooches! **Note: Thursdays and/or Fridays are my NEW days to post on the VS blog:)

I know it's been a long time since I shared a video... and I know this because I wasted about 16 minutes of my video trying to talk! Lots of bloopers from that recording! LOL!

I've created a video sharing how to use the PS fringe dies for a 3D embellishment! This is so easy and really adds to your creations.

Here's a sneak peek of my video:

Paper Smooches SPARKS: April Picture Perfect challenge

Hello, friends:}
Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week is a Picture Perfect challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following picture:

I think that there are lots of different things you could be inspired by from this photo.... I decided to go with texture/3D elements

I created a beautiful Mother's Day card using items from my stash (counts for the Sav Challenges! LOVE it!) I used the NEW Paper Smooches Fringe die for my 3D embellishments. I created those tassels using vellum--- soft and still bold! I also used the PS Ornaments dies for the circle, along with the Hearts die and We Adore You and Blossoming Buds stamp sets. LOVE x10000000!  I added some Imagine Crafts Wedding Dress Pico Embellisher to make the alphas stand out. Simple and fun-- perfect for Trav's Mom:)

That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love

And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details. This challenge ends April 18th. I cannot wait to see what you make--I actually can't wait to see what you are inspired by in this photo!!

THANKS so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

Whisker Graphics: Divine Twine Fringe Necklace

Hello, friends:}

Today I'm sharing my Whisker Graphics creation that is featured on the WG blog-- you can also read about this creation over on the WG blog HERE.

I was thinking about making a homemade necklace for awhile... and then I saw a dress on Project Runway that was completely fringe! This inspired me to make a fringe-like necklace using some of my WG Divine Twine! I used a gold chain with some WG Solid Coral Divine Twine--- beautiful combination!
This is a super simple project!
  1. Gather your supplies- jewelry pieces, divine twine, and scissors.
  2. Cut several strands of divine twine about 8 inches long (for thicker fringe- cut double the amount of strands).
  3. Find the center of your necklace and start adding your divine twine.
    • Take divine twine strand and fold in half
    • Loop around the chain
    • Pull ends through loop ***This type of tying is called Lark's Head or Topsy Tail.
  4. Add a stitched line near top of loops for decoration (optional).
  5. Trim "fringe" into shape or design.
I think this is the PERFECT project for a young girl or for women who want to make a fashion statement!
That's it for me today! And be sure to stop by the WG blog for more inspiration. Also-- did you know about Whisker Graphics's new products??? Like bitty bags with GOLD designs! ACK! LOOOOOOVE! Check it out HERE
