FWF....and a Card Patterns/Stamp Away with Me challenge

Hello, friends:} **NOTE:: be sure to read everything!! Surprise at the end!!

I don't know about you....but I'm thankful for FRIDAY! Not only is it the weekend (for me)....but it's Friday's with Flair at UNITY:} HOOOOOOOORAY! I've got lots to share with you...

First, I would like to start with my entry for two challenges. This card fits the Card Patterns and Stamp Away with Me (Inspire Me) challenges. I have never done these challenges before...but I really enjoyed putting this card together using their sketch and requirements (reuse something). I reused an old grocery bag! It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be! I also used my UNITY Pirate Madness stamps. LOVE IT! I think someone in the family might be getting this card soon!!

My second and third cards are submissions that I sent to Paige from the CARDS blog for her challenge this week. We were to use branches or trees. I love this challenge! AND...I love this first card sooooooooooooo much! I stitched the whole tree trunk with two brown colors. I also stitched the third ring around the "leaves". I love these family pics too!!  I've been meaning to make a family tree card/project for about three years!!! The baby is Xerxes Griffin O'Gwynn. **NOTE:: We don't have kids of our own! He is a Reborn baby (looks real- feels real). I use him for my craft fairs to show off my slings/etc. Xerxes gets lots of attention...and so does my business! He is the best baby ever--never cries, needs feeding, diaper changing, etc. Maybe one day I will have kids...but not for AWHILE! Anyway, back to the card...the sentiments are from Ippity's Straight from the Heart and Unity's Love Grows. Too cute!!

This card is my third card--made for the CARDS challenge. I used Unity's Spring Unity set for this baby card. I made it for my friend, Jen Harris. She is due on Feb. 24th! She is so sweet! So I had to make her baby girl a pretty card! Love this card soooo much too!
 [close up of my stitching for the branch and nest]
**NOTE:: Here is a pic of Xerxes. He kind of looks like Trav and I (red hair, pale skin). LOVE it....not the pic on the right...I love Xerxes and what he does for my business!

And just in case you haven't been to my blog...I've added four other cards that I created this week. You can click on them to see the original post!

Don't forget to go visit the other FWF ladies on Unity's site! They have created some GREAT STUFF just for today!!

Thanks so much for visiting! I really do appreciate our friendship! And THANK YOU so much for all the wonderful comments. I love reading each one!!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend:}
Until next time~
Love, Sav

ps....don't forget that I will have a giveaway once I hit 25 followers:} I can't wait to give away one of my Unity sets that I've used on a previous card!!!

ps2...Because I am feeling nice....and you made it this far in my post...I'll have a giveaway today (US residents only). All you have to do is answer this question in a  comment...
Q: What two things are new on my blog???
You have until Monday, Jan. 25 at 8am to guess! Edit:: I'm going to extend this giveaway to TUESDAY, JAN. 26 at 8am!!!! HOORAY for another day:} Remember: You have to answer the question above...and leave a comment on this post!  Maybe I will give away some "Got Flower" jars...or some other embellishments that are just sitting around.... good luck:}

The pirate card is so cute - love the flag's off the edge and the crumpled look.
I'm LOLing over Xerxes! I love the family tree - so textural and homey looking! The pic of your pup is so cute, as are you & DH! And the baby card is so sweet! Fab stitching and layout. Cah-ute! TFS!

Wow girlie you have been busy!! I love the look of the paper bag on your pirate card. The layout is fabulous! the stitching is such a unique idea - and so cute!! I love that you scrapped your "baby" - those carriers are very pretty - you are multi-talented! I am totally caseing your baby card!! Speaking of multi-talented my "guess" to your question is the blinkies for SPCC and Cupcake inspiration!! A BIG Congrats to you!! I just added a blinkie for top 5 at Clearly Inspired Challenges (first time I had played there) how fun is that!! Have a great weekend!
