PS SPARKS- another try

Hello, friends:}

Today I wanted to share my second try at my Paper Smooches SPARKS July Picture Perfect challenge!! This week we are inspired by the following picture:
I created the exact same card--- with different colors! I just didn't like the photos from before (the white cardbase didn't look good making the pinks a bit off!)! So I made a whole new card using the PS Crystal Clear stamp set and Hello Words die. I think CAS is growing on me:) This is a one layer card. LOVE! I actually LOVE both cards--- and think this photo turned out a bit better! LOL!
Maybe this photo isn't any better! OY! I really need to learn how to work with storms, sunshine, lights, etc! LOL!
That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs, get inspired, and leave them some love

And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details!!!! This challenge ends July 19th. I cannot wait to see what you make!!!

THANKS so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

Paper Smooches SPARKS July Picture Perfect challenge

Hello, friends:}
Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week is a Picture Perfect challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following picture:

Well..... I really wanted to used the stripes and jars as my inspiration... and that super cute tag! But my card ended up CAS and then inspired by the jar (75%), the stripes (15%), and the pink jar (10%).

I love this simple card! It's so fun! I used some My Mind's Eye enamel dots along with My Little Shoebox alphas. The straw (from the PS Crystal Clear set) was stamped with Tsukineko Radiant Neon Electric Coral ink. I finished the sentiment using a stamp from PS Bold Buzzword. LOOOOOOOVE-- it's simple and so fun!
Uh... I don't really like these photos...so I tried to get a better pic....
Maybe this photo isn't any better! OY! I really need to learn how to work with storms, sunshine, lights, etc! LOL!

Paper Smooches SPARKS: May Picture Perfect challenge

Hello, friends:}
Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week is a Picture Perfect challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following picture:

So... sometimes I wonder how people are inspired by the photos because their card DOES NOT match the inspiration! Well.... here's my thinking for this card:
  • I liked the dyed table clothes and thought I could watercolor something like that.
  • I liked the metallic ball decorations on the table... they made me think of brads.
  • This photo looks like it's a Mardi Gras party/decorations.... parties are for celebrating...so I went with a graduation card.
  • I see there are three color choices for this photo... I went with three colors on my card.
  • This photo is busy... I went CAS. That's not similar at all:)
That being said... I understand if you don't like my interpretation! LOL! Trav seems to LOOOOOVE it! And this is a special card for our friend Daria who just graduated from Nyack University this past Saturday! HOOOOOORAY! Huge congrats, Daria:)

Daria is soooooo amazing! We are so proud of her!!!

I used some Tsukineko Memento Angel Pink and Morocco dye inks as watercolors by mixing these inks with Ink Potion No. 9. WOW~ looooooooooove how easy it was to turn these inks into watercolors! I embossed sentiments from the Paper Smooches Bold Buzzwords and Seeing Stars sets using Imagine Crafts black embossing powder. I added a bit of neon washi tape and brads to finish the card. CAS! LOOOOOOVE
You can kind of see the dyed look at the bottom of my card.... kind of:)
That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love

If you know me.... you know I don't like flower images/etc. I just don't know what to do with them.... but I looooooove this RC Petals 'n Posies set! I love that it comes with matching dies too! It makes creating with flowers soooooo much easier! And that's why I used it on my cards today! LOVE LOVE LOVE

I created the following card for today for a friend who is having surgery soon. I wanted to use these leaves as a "wreath" for the sentiment. Well... not really a wreath, but something to make you focus on the sentiment.

I used some vellum to stamp and die cut the leaves from the RC Petals 'n Posies set. And then I added the sentiment by embossing it with gold powder (Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko). I finished the card off with some gold floss and some random Recollections charms. LOVE
But that wasn't enough for me.... I love this card but thought it was too plain. So I made another one but embossed the coral paper leaving a center oval plain (so I could stamp/etc on it). I think that these embossed dots made this card pop!
That's it for me today! Be sure to stop by the Reverse Confetti blog for more inspiration and details! And stop by the RC Facebook page and "like" us!! **Be sure to check out the "comment to win" promotion on FB!

Paper Smooches SPARKS Feb. Picture Perfect challenge

Hello, friends:}
Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week is a Picture Perfect challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following picture:

So I was inspired by soooooo much from this photo--- I mean look at that heart! Geometric designs and triangles.... the gold... the pinks.... a large heart.... LOVE it all!

But I went a different route for my card. I used some gold foiled heart papers (Recollections) as my main design. Then I stamped some sentiments from the Paper Smooches Group Hugs and Pretty Phrases stamp sets onto a vellum banner created using the PS Flag Tag die set. I also used the PS die set Always & Forever. I finished off my card with some string, a key, and a brad.... oh, and a mini staple! LOL! LOOOOOOOVE how this turned out:)
Now you can see the gold foil hearts-- OHHHHHH! I just love this card!

That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love
