PDCC #73

Hello, friends:}

There is another fabulous color story shared over on The Play Date Cafe blog today! WOW! I just love these soft colors--very spring like! Julie Ranae has created our color story this week. FABBY job, Julie:}
We have a wonderful sponsor this week: DeNami Design! WOW! What fabulous stamps!! The PDCC DT was lucky enough to get some free stamps to play with [THANK YOUDeNami Design!].

I received a flower stamp and a sentiment. I know I wanted to make something like a favor box. These colors are perfect for a wedding or little gift for a student or maybe Mom's day! I traced and cut out a box on Mango paper--matched perfectly to the photo color! Then I stamped lilac and dark pink flowers. I popped them by embossing and using foam dots. They wrap around the whole box. I added a large gem and the sentiment on vellum. LOVE it! Love the seam binding bow too! Super fun!

That's it for me--but you will want to jump on over to all these other amazing PDCC DT members' blogs! Our special Guest designer this week is Paulina Nakamura. So happy to have her on our team this week:}

A few pics...from last month

Hello, friends:}

I'm so sorry for being MIA the past couple of days--I have been super busy with visitors! I am so lucky to have so many friends and family come visit me in Florida! **NOTE:: if you are headed this way--let me know:) I love getting together!

Back in Feb. I met with two fabulous crafters---Virginia and Lin!! OH MY! I had a blast! Lin actually lives (for a couple of months) near me! Lin and her husband, Denny, picked me up and we talked the entire drive (about 2 hours) to Orlando! LOOOOOOOVED it! It was so refreshing talking with another sister and believer!
I was zoomed in for this pic--oops!

I will never forget when Virginia walked out of the elevator! She was so excited--what a great memory. We had a great time visiting around the lunch table, and making a video for Hero Arts--which I'm now in LOVE with! LOVE Hero Arts! We also enjoy a fabulous dinner--oh my! Virginia even ordered a soup for me! She is super funny! My fav part about dinner was learning about all the recipes and ways to cook--THANK YOUVirginia and Lin! I have yet to try the apple crisp--but I'm excited to start cooking and baking!!
Did you see the magazines on the table--we were checking out the PC mags!!
I really enjoyed walking around the hotels with these gals. We looked at all kinds of plants and beaches, and even walked in on a wedding! I had a great time!
And to top it off--Virginia gave me this fabulous card! LOVE it:} She also gave me some goodies--my favorite was the Canada bracelet! LOL!

EIC #130 {Artwork by Lori}

Hello, friends:}

I just love love love Saturdays---I love visiting the EIC and checking out our featured stores!! This week we are headed to Artwork by Lori. WOW! Lori has three Etsy stores! You can be inspired by any of her stores: here, here, or here

I created two fun projects. This first one was inspired by this fortune cookie. I needed to make an Easter project for a friend who is in the Air Force. I thought this fun American Crafts paper would work perfectly--since the paper has bunnies and eggs! I put Easter verses on the fortune, and made the take-out box from coordinating paper. Simple! LOVE it! Hope he likes it! **NOTE:: Sorry for the horrible pic! Must take another one in the sunlight!
I also made a card for his mom. They just recently put their dog to sleep. When I saw this print of a cat, I knew what I wanted to make. I used my Unity Bella Blvd. dog with my August 2009 KOTM wing stamps. The clouds are from the Ippity set Sweet Thoughts of Spring. LOVE how this turned out--those feathers are super cute:} **NOTE:: I totally made this while skyping with Ashley!! LOVE IT! Thanks for crafting with me:}
That's it for me today--but don't worry! The EIC DT members have created some pretty amazing creations to share with you today! LOVE IT!

Be sure to stop by the EIC blog for more details. There are 2 winners this week!!! And our sponsor this week is Charleston Scrapbook CompanyRemember to link up your creation by Friday, March 18th at noon Pacific Time

Thanks so much for stopping by! LOVE being inspired at Etsy--gotta love EtsyInspired! Be blessed:}

Today you might need your sunglasses! We have a bright color story created by our very own, Sarah Anderson. I LOOOOVE this inspiration photo! I wish I could work with paints and watercolors...draw over it...write on it...oh! That talent is not in my bones--but I wish wish *wish* it was! I created what I do best--a birthday card:} I made this using some decorative tape {which I could have used in the Moxie Fab challenge--I always think of these things AFTER the deadlines!} and some old DCWV papers and Thicker's letters. I used some film rub-ons with my camera stamp {Unity August 2009 KOTM}. Simple--and I love it! It's perfect for my sister-in-law, since her birthday was MONDAY!! I'm late!! Oh SNAP!

Rejection...and a pick-me-up

Hello, friends:}

This is a super hard post for me to write...I have debated whether or not to share...but it's me being honest. So I thought I would join in the Rejection Train that was started over on Amber's blog for the last publication call for Paper Crafts Magazine. I loooooooove sketches...and I went all out for this call! I spent lots of hours coming up with different ideas or what papers I wanted to use...and I was so excited about my creations. All of them! I do have two favorites....but nothing was picked up. I have to say--it was super hard! I was so so so sad.

So after talking with many of my friends {Julie Campbell, Char Austin, and so many more!!}....I decided to join in the fun. Why not? What's it going to hurt?

I'm sharing only one of my rejected cards today. I just loooooooved sketch #80. I knew instantly that I wanted to make it into a carrot. I have wanted to use this saying for quite some time now...and this was the perfect time. I just love how I used my Ippity lined stamp {Authentic Man} to make the carrot lines! ACK! So cute:) I love that bunny {Ippity: Sweet Thoughts of Spring} and I love love love the pull-out. I also stamped the heart from Unity's The Best Is Yet To Be. LOOOOOVE this card! I am entering this is Unity's monthly challenge [hearts] and the Paper Piecing Challenge in the Moxie Fab WorldLove love love playing along with Moxie Fab! Love creating in general:}
And on a happier note...you need to stop by Moxie Fab this week! I was featured as their Moxie Fabber on Monday! I about died! What a fabulous pick-me-up! I appreciate all the comments left over there--I've enjoyed reading each one! I'm so blessed to have so many fabulous friends! THANKS:} And THANKS to Cath!! I've been on cloud 9 all week!!!

That's it for me today--thanks for stopping by! Maybe I needed to share this rejection so I could move on and craft again, and possibly submit this time around. Your visit was much needed in my healing:} THANK YOU!

Be blessed!!
