Paper Smooches SPARKS: June Anything Goes (wk1) challenge

Hello, friends:} 

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! Another Anything Goes challenge starts today!   

That's right--you get to create ANYTHING you want (as long as you use Paper Smooches stamps)!! This is the BEST challenge ever!!!

Today I created a CAS card for my dad--- for Father's Day. 

I used some super old Echo Park papers so I could join in my Sav Challenges:) I also used the PS Daddy Yo, Alphadot, and Spiffy Scooters stamp sets. I didn't use any dies--- although I tried! LOL! 

I really wanted to use the PS Apron die to create this chef apron... but I just couldn't get it to look right. I had probably 5 PS dies out and worked on a prototype for about an hour. After that time, I realized that I could just buy a Silhouette image and die cut it with my machine! LOL!

Virtual Smooches: How-To Fringe Die (part 2: 3D Embellishments)

Today is my day to share a video over on the  Paper Smooches video blog- Virtual Smooches! **Note: Thursdays and/or Fridays are my NEW days to post on the VS blog:) 

I know it's been a long time since I shared a video... and I know this because I wasted about 16 minutes of my video trying to talk! Lots of bloopers from that recording! LOL! 

I've created a video sharing how to use the PS fringe dies for a 3D embellishment! This is so easy and really adds to your creations.

Paper Smooches SPARKS: Anything Goes (wk5) challenge

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! Another Anything Goes challenge starts today!   

That's right--you get to create ANYTHING you want (as long as you use Paper Smooches stamps)!! This is the BEST challenge ever!!!

This is a card that I made for one of my students from way back in the day... I had her in 4th grade and now she's graduating! YIKES! Time flies! 

I wanted to do a simple design... so I used some IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko VersaMagic ink as a watercolor background, along with my PS Congratulations die and star stamp from the Daddy Yo set. EASY! ****NOTE: Now that I look at this card... it looks more like a card for a baby! Just switch the color of ink for a baby boy. I think I might have to make a more appropriate graduation card for my student! LOL! Yup---- I'm using this card for a baby shower next week and I will immediately make a different card for my student:) LOL!

Paper Smooches SPARKS: May Designer Drafts

Hello, friends:}

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week we are sharing a DESIGNER DRAFT challenge. 

This week we are inspired by the following sketch:

**Sentiments can be placed anywhere on the sketch.

Ok---so I think I did a fair job with this sketch! I went vertical... made the circle more of a small accent (speech bubble)... eh! Just when I think I'm doing "well" with sketches-- that's when I go off and do my own thing in Savannahland! LOL! 

I created this Thank You card for my favorite trainer EVER! Yesterday was his last day at my gym, and I wanted to let him know how thankful I am for all of his encouragement and training. I am excited for his new adventures... and hopefully I will see him again soon:) 

I used several PS dies including the Retro Arrow, Word Bubbles, and Quote Tag. I stamped the sentiments (which can be placed anywhere on the sketch--- PERFECT! Again, I went vertical!) from the PS Many Thanks set. I think this card turned out great! LOVE LOVE LOVE! 

You can't see it but I used both black and Espresso Truffle (gray) inks for this card- LOVE!

Paper Smooches SPARKS: Anything Goes (wk3) challenge

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! Another Anything Goes challenge starts today!   

That's right--you get to create ANYTHING you want (as long as you use Paper Smooches stamps)!! This is the BEST challenge ever!!! 

I created a very simple card today. I needed something quick since I was out of town and not in the studio for almost a week! YIKES! 

I used some of my old Chickaniddy Crafts papers along with 2 washi tapes for the background. I used LOTS of PS stamps and dies including: Love & Cherish, Thanks Word, and the Gift Tags dies along with the We Adore You stamp set! LOVE LOVE LOVE my PS stamps/dies! Layer it all together, add some thread and mini staples... and there you have it! Quick and EASY:) LOVE it!

Paper Smooches SPARKS: May Picture Perfect challenge

Hello, friends:}

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week is a Picture Perfect challenge.  

This week we are inspired by the following picture:

The first thing that caught my eye was that wood chevron table... and I instantly thought of the PS Retro Arrow die. I knew I wanted to use that on my card. And that really was my only inspiration, well except for the flowers. I added some of those with patterned paper by Crate Paper {Craft Market}. EASY!  

This is actually my Granny's 83rd birthday card. She celebrates on Tuesday this week. I think that this is a beautiful card that sums up my love for her and ties into this challenge;) 

Other techniques and things found on this card: watercoloring with random inks ***and to be honest, I was afraid this watercoloring wouldn't look good at first! When I first applied the ink, it was hideous! LOL! But I kept going and LOVE the result!, PS Happy Birthday Words die using gold metallic paper, Recollection white enamel dot, and stitching. LOVE LOVE LOVE this card!

Our church has been super blessed with fresh fruit from a local fruit/veggie market. To show our appreciation and gratitude, I created this simple card for them. 

I used simple supplies- ink from IMAGINE Crafts, watercolor paper, and the PS Cute Fruit set and Fruit People and Thanks Word dies. This card is definitely CAS but it's full of love and gratefulness! LOVE!
