EIC #108 {Two Eggplants}

Hello, friends:}

So happy to share with you another EtsyInspired challenge! Have I told you lately how much I love visiting all these Etsy stores and being inspired!!! This week's store is so fun--Two Eggplants. They make ordinary items into extraordinary soap bars. How FUN is that??? And our sponsor this week is Pink Cat Studio--oh my! They have so many wonderful digital images, rubber stamps, and more... you have got to check them out!

My first creation was inspired by these baby themed soap favors. I love making these prayers journals--and so I picked the giraffe to feature on the front. I traced around a postage stamp chipboard and cut out the design--that way I got the exact color that I wanted! The giraffe was stamped and then I added crackle accents on the spots! SO CUTE!! I just love the meaning behind these journals--they might be simple and plain...but packed with POWER!!

I was also inspired by this fab CTRL ALT DELETE set of soaps. I just love my typewriter stamp from Unity! Just love it! I was also inspired by Laurie Wilson's Thank You card. I just love this color combo:: red, dark brown, and cream/white. LOVE IT! I used Ippity's Book It! stamp along with Unity's Nov. KOTM [typewriter]. I printed the sentiment using my True Type font. LOVE LOVE LOVE how this turned out! I thought it might work for the Ippity challenge [using metal]--but I also used Unity stamps--so I wasn't sure. LOVE it still!!
Then I saw this iPhone or iTouch bar of soap! I just loved it and wanted to make a card just like the one below--but I didn't have another "fake" [or paper] iTouch. I used the one from my husband's iTouch cover box. It was the perfect size for a card. I LOVE this card--so I had to share it again. For my new card--I would have made the app a birthday cake. I have a friend that is a MAC lover and super funny. I thought this would be perfect for him. Hopefully I can get another paper iTouch soon!
Close-up of the app--"JB {heart or love}"

That's it for me today--but there are several AWESOME projects created by the EIC DT members!! So check out their blogs and get inspired by their creations! LOVE visiting their blogs:}

EIC #95 {post 2}

Hello, friends:}

I'm super excited about joining up with the EtsyInspired team!! Today is my first official post with them! I was a Guest DT back in April--and was sad when I had to end my term...but good things come to those who wait:} I LOOOOOOOOOVE the EtsyInspired challenges!

This week's featured Etsy store is KimmieProut. WOWZA!! Kim makes the coolest embellishments from polymer clay! Colorful and whimsical! Super cute! And our sponsor this week is Pink Cat Studio!! This week there are two winners::: 1) $15 gift certificate to KimmieProut with free shipping and 2) 5 free digital images from Pink Cat Studio!!

I was in love with two specific button embellies over on KimmieProut. So I made two cards...my first card was inspired by these beautiful green, red, teal, buttons. After looking at them for awhile...I noticed that I had several stamps that matched the designs. I used my jar stamp, along with Unity's You're A Doll [stitches], Encompassed Grace [flower/circle], 6 Pack Unity Essentials [flower], and a free stamp from Unity [not sure the name]. I also used Unity's Stuck on You set for the sentiment. If you look closely you will see that I stamped the jar on transparency to make it look like the buttons are being held in a real jar. Super fun!!!
**NOTE:: You can kind of see the transparency...

My second card was inspired by these pirate buttons. Of course I knew I had to use my Unity Pirate Madness stamp set!! I just love how this card turned out--it kind of looks like another card that I made awhile back. So fun!!
That's it for me today...be sure to head over to EtsyInspired for all the deets on this challenge! And please stop by all the other DT members' blogs--they have some beautiful creations to share with you today!!
