PDCC #75

Hello, friends:}

There is another fabulous color story shared over on The Play Date Cafe blog today! This week, our very talented leader, Julie, has picked our colors--teal, coral, and silver. LOVE that inspiration photo-makes me want to go out and play my Monopoly game!!

We have a wonderful sponsor this week: Wplus9, owned by  Dawn Woleslagle. The PDCC DT was lucky enough to play with some of Wplus9 stamps this week--OH MY! I received Sweet Nothings--love all these sentiments! It was perfect for my card.
I created a very simple card for this week's  colors-I was inspired by the sketch/LO created by Maile Belles. I used my butterfly nestabilities and some coral ribbon, along with some teal twine {from The Twinery}. I used the sentiment and little heart from my Wplus9 stamp set. I def. think this was a CAS card--but perfect for my friend who is undergoing chemotherapy.
That's it for me--but you will want to jump on over to all these other amazing PDCC DT members' blogs! Our special Guest designer this week is Dawn Woleslagle. So happy to have her on our team this week:}

Family Fun

Hello, friends:}

I have been wanting to share my visit with my older brother, Leander, and his wife, Jamie, for weeks--I just didn't have time to write it up! I met with them the first week of March in Orlando. I love visiting family!! Leander was in town for a meeting, and Jamie was enjoying the sun:} Here is a pic of us walking around International Drive....even that was fun!

I enjoy visiting with family because we share little gifts and the such. This time, their little girl Kadence (who turned 4 March 29) created me this super cute magnet. LOOOOVE her coloring and how beautiful her flowers look! I also love how she writes--so smart and crafty! She takes after me:}
A few days after meeting Leo and Jamie, I got a package in the mail with this sweet picture colored and drawn by my nephew, Jackson. He is sooooo smart! Love how he spelled my name correctly! It was super long, so he wrapped it around the right side of the paper:} He even wrote his name on the bottom! So clever!!
I love my family--and I miss my little nieces and nephews! Thanks for letting me share my precious pictures with you. And thanks for leaving some love and birthday wishes for my niece, Kadence. I will make sure Leo or Jamie read them to her!! One last pic--I made Kadence a SpongeBob cape--it took me 3 1/2 hours to make! I fabric pieced that face together--I can't get away from "paper piecing"!!! LOVE it!
 Here is what it looks like on a kid.
**NOTE:: I just got off the phone with my brother, and he said that when Kadence went to bed on her birthday she said, "When I wake up will I be five?" How cute!!!

Thanks again for stopping by! Be back tomorrow for some Play Date Cafe goodness:} Be blessed!

just for fun

Hello, friends:}

Just wanted to share with you a card that I made awhile back--and now I can say...It was rejected! I used my Unity Delightful Moments {sentiment} and Itty Bitty stamps for this card. The hearts were on clearance at Michael's after v-day {Martha Stewart}. Simple...well, actually, it wasn't simple--I paper pieced that entire image. Kind of took a while! But I like it!
That's it for me today. I will be back later this week with more creations--I've been busy!! Thanks so much for stopping by! Love visiting with you:} Be blessed!

EIC #132 {Fresh Metal Jewelry}

Hello, friends:}
Happy Saturday--time for another EIC challenge! ! We are headed over to another amazing Etsy store this week for our EtsyInspired challenge! We are stopping by the Fresh Metal Jewelry shop! Oh!!! I was so inspired by all these jewelry pieces! I love that vintage necklace!! And those pearls--I just love it all!

For my first piece...I wanted to try some jewelry making myself! I was inspired by this bracelet. I went looking for some fun beads...and found those chunky white ones. They are actually recycled--my friend's necklace broke about a year ago, and I happen to be there when she was throwing the pieces in the trash. I couldn't let those pretty beads go to waste--so I kept them for such an occasion as this:} I like how it turned out--it's super cute on!
NOTE:: Ok--my bracelet doesn't look as good as the inspiration piece...but kind of close!

This next creation was inspired by two pieces.

I really like this pearl necklace and those colors for the bib necklace is just gorgeous! I decided to make a wedding card. The colors were mauve, dark brown, and cream--and this paper was a great match. I wanted to add more pearls, but just didn't have any swirls or the such....I really like how it turned out. I used my Unity July 2010 KOTM [Happily Ever After] for the sentiment. LOVE it!
That's it for me today--but don't worry! The EIC DT members have created some pretty amazing creations to share with you today! LOVE IT!

Be sure to stop by the EIC blog for more details. There are 2 winners this week!!! And our sponsor this week is Amber Ink. Super cute digital stamps--and they have clear stamps as well! LOVE it! Check out their blog HERE

Remember to link up your creation by Friday, April 1st at noon Pacific Time

Thanks so much for stopping by! LOVE being inspired at Etsy--gotta love EtsyInspired! Be blessed:}

I went through my card file the other day and found a couple of cards that I've never shared before! They are perfect for the All Things Unity #27 challenge [Bling It On]. This first card is super sweet--I love the color story! I used my March 2010 Unity KOTM for the sentiment. Just simple--love it! I hardly ever do CAS--and I'm loving it!

I also made this card awhile back--I'm a hoarder (I just can't cut into those pretty papers!)....so when I made this card, I wanted to use papers that I knew where in that "pretty pile". I love Webster's Pages--oh oh oh! And the vintage look of this card--another thing I'm working on:} I used my Unity music stamp with the sentiment from Unity's Life Becoming. LOVE love love this card!
That's it for me today! Be sure to stop by the Unity blog for all other FWF friends:} So much eye candy today!!
