Another Paper Smooches SPARKS Oct. Picture Perfect card

Hello, friends:}

I'm sharing another Paper Smooches SPARKS October Picture Perfect challenge creation.

This week we are inspired by the following picture {left}. Click HERE to see my first card. For my second card, I used the colors as my inspiration. I wanted to make a simple masculine card that Trav could send out to one of his friends.

I used some My Mind's Eye A Mother's Love paper for the background, along with some Bazzill Basics cardstock {available HERE from the RC}. I masked and stamped images from my Paper Smooches Green Acres, Word Salad, Hot Concoctions, and He Said She Said stamp sets.
That's it for me today. Don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details. This challenge ends November 4th!!! I just got three new Paper Smooches stamp sets in the mail the other day--I cannot wait to ink them up:)

THANKS so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

Fresh Squeezed Stamps part 3

Hello, friends:}

I'm excited to share my third October GDT card for Fresh Squeezed Stamps.

I created a simple (kind of) Holiday card using the FSS Subway Series: Holidays stamp set. I combined some patterned papers form the Carta Bella Merry & Bright collection {available HERE from the Ribbon Carousel} and some images from my Cricut. I also made a homemade brad {i-top} and added some i-rock red gems from Imaginisce. LOOOOOOOVE how this turned out!
That's it for me today. Be sure to check out and follow Fresh Squeezed Stamps- you don't want to miss out on anything!!!

Altered DVD Case with Momenta

Hello, friends:}

I have a fun altered craft today--I had an old DVD case sitting around so I decided to use some Momenta papers, embellies, and alphas to make it into case for all my photos from this year.

Here's a quick tutorial on how I did it:)
I plan on putting extra CDs in that envelope...I might even write a special note to Trav about this year:)
Be sure to stop by the Momenta shop and Facebook page. You can also check them out on Pinterest!

Extras

Hello, friends:}

I have some extra cards to share today-- it's never easy for me to make sympathy or TOU cards. And unfortunately, I had to create two of these cards this week.

For my first card, I used a very simple card design from HERE-- Iike I said, it's def. NOT easy for me to create these cards...so I need inspiration! LOL! I used some of My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing: Tangerine papers [available HERE from the RC] along with the Good Gab stamp set by Paper Smooches. This is a simple card that shares my love and prayers perfectly! I'm sending this to my friend Corinna, who recently lost her Nana.
My second card is for my younger brother and his wife:{ They recently had a miscarriage, and my heart breaks for them. So I wanted to pair some beautiful papers {My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing: Lavender} with a simple sentiment of HOPE {Joyful Greetings by Paper Smooches} for this card. I was inspired by THIS card. I looooooooove how this turned out. I pray that C/J would find strength in the Lord and know that there is hope even in the hardest trials.
That's it for me today. THANKS so much for stopping by! Many blessings:}

Mama Elephant Basic Borders

Hello, friends:}

Today the Mama Elephant design team is taking a closer look at the Basic Borders stamp set. Be sure to stop by the ME blog for more details inspiration!!!

 I created two cards using this set--the first one is very modern and def. not my style! I stepped out of my comfort zone to create this card. I used some
Basic Bazzill cardstock {available HERE from the RC}} and stamped the polka dots from the ME Basic Borders stamp set. I created an image by using a glue pen {also available HERE from the RC} and glitter. I added some Whisker Graphics twine for the leaves. Easy card!
You could use this technique of creating an image with polka dots for Thanksgiving (using a leaf, pumpkin) or Christmas (using a tree, present, Santa hat, etc.)!! So many options:)
For my second creation, I used some kraft bitty bags from Whisker Graphics for a gift card holder. I stamped the angled image from the ME Basic Borders stamp set on the right side. I added a sentiment to a WG tag and paper pieced the penguin from the ME Polar Pals stamp set. Also very very easy!! LOVE this gift card holder.
If you look closely, the penguin's scarf was stamped with the polka dots from the ME Basic Borders stamp set!!
That's it for me today. Be sure to stop by all of the ME DTs' blogs and the ME blog for more inspiration and details.

Mama Elephant Trifecta

Hello, friends:}

Today the Mama Elephant design team is taking a closer look at the Trifecta stamp set. Be sure to stop by the ME blog for more details inspiration!!!

I created a card using the Trifecta stamp set for the ME Grand Opening Stampede blog hop HERE. I love how that card using lots of the triangle designs on patterned paper. So for this card, I wanted to make it modern and minimalist.

I followed a layout design by Jen Jockisch for my inspiration. I looooooove how this turned out! I used some of my new Fancy Pants Designs The Good Life papers {available HERE from the RC}, along with some washi tape from Downtown Tapes. The arrows from the ME Trifecta stamp set have been stamped near the bottom as well as near the sentiment. I also used the small heart from the Polar Pals set. LOVE
That's it for me today. Be sure to stop by all of the ME DTs' blogs and the ME blog for more inspiration and details.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll be sharing a couple more Mama Elephant creations this week! Be blessed:}

Paper Smooches October Picture Perfect challenge {post2}

Hello, friends:}

**Click HERE for my Mama Elephant post!

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! The fourth week of the month is always a Picture Perfect challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following picture:
I was inspired by the color story, the birds, and the frames (although I made mine scallops). I actually have three designs for this photo--but I'm only sharing one today! I'll share the others later this week and next:}

For my first project, I created a baby card. This is a neutral color story--so it's perfect for those parents who don't want to find out the sex before the baby is born. The papers are from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Two: Sunshine collection {available HERE from the RC}. The images/sentiments are from the Teen Routine, A Little Lovin', and Smoocheroos Paper Smooches stamp sets. LOOOOOOOVE! I finished off the card with some eggshell vintage seam binding {available HERE from the RC}. LOVE x10!!
That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love

And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details. This challenge ends November 4th {this is a two week challenge!!!}. I cannot wait to see what you make--I just LOOOOOVE my Paper Smooches stamps!!!

PDCC #154 3rd Anniversary

Hello, friends:}
Today I am sharing a project with you as an Alumni Guest over at The Play Date Cafe Color Challenge.  They are celebrating their 3rd Anniversary with a BIG celebration!  The PDCC has always been a unique challenge for two reasons

  1. They encourage you as a player to 'interpret the colors' as YOU see them
  2. They welcome pretty much ANY type of project from cards to layouts, knit, crochet & sewing, mixed-media and even cupcakes! **For my project this week--I almost did MAKEUP! LOL!
From Oct 18-22, you can enjoy inspiration from other returning design team members as well as their current team, prizes from a variety of sponsors and additional giveaways for becoming a follower of the challenge and for displaying their brand new badges!

I hope you will join me in congratulating The Play Date Cafe by playing along and sharing your support by saying hello when you pay a visit.  It's going to be an exciting celebration!
OK--so the colors this week are flame, grape, and mulberry. I used several different purple ink pads, along with a red/orange ink for my colors. These inks {available HERE from the RC} were the perfect match!! I also used 10 Paper Smooches stamps {All Yule Need, Yummers, Surf & Turf, Daisies & Paisleys, Good Gab, Chit Chat, FOLKal Points, Word Salad, Simply Said, and Friendly Flowers}!!! I added some light purple gems and some grape wine vintage seam binding {available HERE from the RC} as accents. The polka dots were stamped individually and I thought the heart was a sweet accent! LOOOOOOOOVE how this turned out!
You can see the light purple gems on the flowers in this pic. So cute:)

That's it for me today! Be sure to stop by the PDCC blog for more details and to link up your creation!! Happy 3rd Anniversary to the The Play Date Cafe!!!!!!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}
