2026: Welcome Baby Rabbit [Card #202]

Hello again, sweet friends! 

Trav went to the dentist the other day (I go in a week). When he came home, he was telling me that his hygienist was pregnant and having a girl. This lead me down lots of different questions: 

• Boy or girl: girl
• Are they decorating the nursery? Light green so they can use it for all their children in the future; they will also be using the Velveteen Rabbit as a theme. 

Well... I couldn't help myself and told him I would make a card and bunny teether to give her when I visit! 

So I got to work pulling out all my rabbit stamps/dies and baby sentiments for a custom baby card. I mixed and matched between Pink & Main, the Colorado Craft Co., and The Stamp Market! I think it turned out super cute!

I also worked in the sewing room- GASP! I know! I had the perfect fabric for her teether- it's a cream and brown bunny design. It reminds me of the Velveteen Rabbit or Peter Rabbit, which I thought would work perfectly! Only problem... you can't see the design when it's put together 🤦🏼‍♀️ LOL!  ABC

2026: Simon Says Stamp Every Happiness Release

Hello my sweet friends! 

Today is an exciting day--- the Simon Says Stamp Every Happiness collection releases!!!! And what a collection this is!!!!!!!!!

 

I am in looooooooooooooove with my creations- I honestly can't figure out which one I love more!! I love that I created cards, was inspired by THE Susan Opel (I didn't do as good as her though! LOL!), and I made a bag charm using a SSS die and leather--- what a collection THIS is!!! 

 

Here's what I've made- NEW supplies are below: 

You can't see allllllllllllll the lines- but each piece of this desert view has acrylic marker lines for extra depth! GAH! Isn't this AWESOME!?!? 

Ok- these colors are PERFECT! I love it! ANNNNNNNNNNNNND this was used in the release graphic!!! So fun:) 

Another favorite- I LOOOOOOOOOVE this modern and fresh design! 

This card was inspired by THE Susan Opel--- she adds ribbon in the corners perfectly! I told Susan how she inspired me and that I need her to teach me everything she knows:) She did give me a tip! I will try this again:) 

Bag charms are so popular right now... so I decided to make a modern leather oak leaf and dark leather oak leaf charm to join in the fun! 

Trav didn't like the gems on this card so I made one with and one without:) 

I am NOT a fan of CAS cards... but I had to try making one! I just felt that this stamp set deserved to be simple and fussy cut:) 

 I went from CAS to very very busy but one layered! I might have went overboard with my added dots! 

I looooooooooooooove these Pink & Main papers with this sweet image! So cute! 

So... I think my paper cutter is cutting crooked! LOL! I didn't notice until I took a photo! LOL

2026: Playing with Scraps... and Twofer Cards

Hello, sweet friends! 

I was playing around the other day with inking backgrounds. I went with a different color palette- greens, yellows, orange, red, and dark blue. I was thinking "masculine" ?!?! It wasn't my favorite color combo... but I kept going! 

 

I also did different ink blends- linear and blotches. Again... I wasn't a fan but kept going! 

 

After I die cut the sentiment (crooked)... I DEFINITELY didn't like what I was making 🤣 but... I kept going!   

 

I ended up using a few Pink & Main birthday stamps/sentiments... and you know what???? I LOOOOOOOOVE these! 

 

Are they perfect? Nope! Can you see my mistakes? Nope! And does the color combo work now??? Possibly! LOL! 

 

And since I don't throw anything away, EVER--- I decided to make a few cards using the scraps from the sentiment die cut. These are very simple and the image is colored exactly like the other one. EASY! And a #twofer!!!   

I can't decide if I like the inked background or the background scraps MORE! LOL Both sets of cards make me happy and will help me fill up my masculine birthday card stash:)

2026: Easy Holiday Card + 2 TIPS using TapeRunner Adhesive [Card #192-197]

Hello, sweet friends! I've started on my holiday cards!!! 

I've shared a IG reel/tutorial HERE on how to make this EASY holiday card using TapeRunner adhesive. 
 

Here are step-by-step instructions [plus 2 TIPS] on how to make these cards, and possibly make multiples because they are sooooooooo easy!!!! 

• Gather your supplies including TapeRunner adhesive
• Create card front panel using embossing folder
• Stamp image onto cardstock
• TIP#1: Use a bone folder to burnish some of the embossed image where the stamped sentiment will be. This makes the cardstock smoother and  you don't lose the embossed image! 
• Emboss sentiment
• Ink edges of embossed image (I used two dark colors for extra dimension)
• Adhere cardstock to cardbase using TapeRunner adhesiv
•  TIP#2: Apply TapeRunner adhesiv to BOTH the cardbase and cardstock for a stronger bond! The embossed cardstock sometimes has a hard time adhering to flat paper- doubling the adhesive helps! 
• Finish card using twine, gems, or other embellishments

EASY! 

And because this was soooooooooo EASY I created a few extra holiday cards in different colors! This is a great card to mass produce.

 

I wish you could see how pretty each edge is in the photo- the light makes it too bright to see :(

2026: Pink & Main JULY Release

2026: Thanks So Mush (again) [Card #167]

Hello again, sweet friends! 

So this card might look familiar... similar to THIS card. 

Well... there's MORE to the story... 

 

The card I made for our friend, John, took four tries for the background and four MORE tries for the mushrooms. The background wasn't working for me, not sure why, but I ended up with the fourth try and then stamped on two other ones not thinking about saving them. That is out of character for me, as I LOOOOOOOOOOVE using up scraps! LOL 

As for the mushrooms- I don't like mushrooms. This made me nervous to color them. And it showed in the first three tries for yesterday's card. On John's card, I ended up fussy cutting the mushrooms and highlight coloring. I think it turned out AMAZING! 

 

So skip forward a day or two... and I was looking at the ruined scraps... I decided to make another similar card. This time I conquered my mushroom coloring fear! I think I nailed this coloring--- I'm still a newbie but really learning how to color! Plus, I love the blues and pop of red for that snail!  

 

I honestly might love this card more than the one I was inspired by! LOL!

2026: A Year in the Making-- Thanks So Mush [Card #165]

Hey hey, everyone!  

This card has been almost a year in the making… let me explain👇🏻

***Kind of a fun, long story but stay until the end!!!! It will all make sense 🙃

Last year on July 14th I had a fight with a rock and lost, tearing several ligaments (again) in my left ankle and bruised several ribs (as well as other injuries)🤕 Trav’s co-worker, John, made me a get well card with mushrooms on it [you can see it on my IG stories]. I wanted to tell him thanks for the card, well wishes, and help at work…

But I couldn’t do much for a long time… and I kept getting sick or injured… and I had other projects that were due…

Then the opportunity to make a mushroom card inspired by John’s mushroom card came up last month when Pink and Main had their monthly challenge as nature- this card fit perfectly!!!!! But I missed the deadline because….

I started having gut issues 😵‍💫 This meant that I needed urgent tests and doc appts… the first two days I dealt with everything alone while Trav worked 12 hour shifts… but thankfully John switched a few work dates with Trav so he could attend my bigger tests/procedure dates.

So NOW I definitely needed to make this card!

And that brings us to today—- I’m late for the P&M monthly challenge… I’m late in giving John a card… and I’m still sick 🤪

Anyhoo…. I love how this card turned out!!!! Fussy cutting, highlight coloring, texture paste, layers… I loooooove it! And I actually made another one similar to this using scraps because I couldn’t throw the background that was messed up out🙃 Be on the lookout for that card soon!!!!

2026: Get Well and REST [Card #164]

Hello again, sweet friends! 

 

I didn't make this card because I am ill/sick... I did it for this guy! 

This is my younger brother, Carrel (pronounced Carl). He thought it would be fun to try to "one-up" my health issues by breaking his right foot! I can't figure out who has it worse- him or me! LOL! I wish he lived closer as I would have gladly have given him my knee scooter (I think I've had three in the last 10 years)! 

 

I couldn't pass up this opportunity to send a card to Carrel to help encourage him to REST and heal!!!! He doesn't do well at sitting and resting so he needed this card! 

And because he has a pink cast (he did that for his daughter, Alli) I *had* to create a pink cast on this little bunny's leg. If I had a small knee scooter image, I would have used that other than crutches! LOL!   

 

Oh--- and my older brother, Leander, has been hurt in the last week too! Apparently he didn't want to be left out of the loop! He injured his ribs. I know what that is like too! OY! We are quite the threesome🤕
